Dr. Johnny Black was born and raised in Shreveport. He attended Southwood High School and received his Bachelors degree from Louisiana State University- Shreveport. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2001. After dental school, he chose to continue his dental training at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas where he completed a General Practice Residency.
He has worked and trained to build a practice that meets and exceeds your expectations of trusted, personalized dental care. He focuses on bringing his patients only the best that dentistry has to offer by keeping himself and his staff informed on the latest advances and techniques in dentistry.

Dr. Black and the entire staff are A-1. As a child I was always afraid of the dentist because of horrible experiences. Dr. Black and his staff put my mind at ease and now I look forward to going to the dentist. The atmosphere is always welcoming. Absolutely nothing but top notch customer service and I'm always greeted with a smile. I would recommend Dr. Black and Fern Avenue Dentistry to everyone.

I always enjoy going there, everyone is so nice and fun. My teeth cleaning lady Shaynay (spelling) is the best. Her and Linda Bell is the reason I started going there. Linda's brother was my dentist many years ago but he retired so I followed them to here. Everyone I've encountered there has been super friendly. So happy I chose to follow them. God Bless!
