My family has been coming here for years and always have the BEST experience. The hygienist Geri is incredibly professional and always educates us whenever a question comes up during our cleanings. I had major oral surgery done when I was a child and to this day I'm triggered by having any dental procedure. More recently I had extensive dental work done and Dr. Rachael was so empathic and genuinely cared. It was like hanging out with a friend each time plus getting top notch dental care! I strongly encourage anyone whether you have a traumatic dental past or not to run towards this practice!

Best Dentist office! Got my wisdom tooth pulled out by Dr.Ferguson and assisted by Jami the assistant. They did a phenomneal job! Very profeshinal and clean. Dr.Rachel did my xray she was very nice and caring! and the rest of office and staff were very nice and helpful. Thank you Ferguson Dental!

I have always been afraid of dentists. I no longer am. They are the best at putting you at ease. I couldn't recommend this practice enough.

Having spent a lifetime being afraid of doctors, it has been lovely to find one that doesn't fill me with fear. The staff are all lovely people and I feel that they care. I've been coming here for a number of years now and can imagine no one else as my dentist.

3 generations of my family have gone to Dr. Ferguson. I can confidently say they have your best interest. I been seeing Dawn the hygienist who has given excellent advise for brushing my teeth. If you take there advice you will have a beautiful smile to be proud of! No one looks forward going to the dentist. Myself included. They are there to help you every step of the way!

I've been coming here for twenty years now and even after moving from Montclair to Manhattan nine years ago I take the train to come to these guys rather than use an 'in-plan' dentist in the city. I'll explore any choices but when I've got the best dentists of my life, why would I? Gordon and now David and the partners and hygienists through the years are warm and easy and put putting at ease as primary. And (important to me) they'll explain ANYTHING I ask about while they're doing it-which fascinates me. Although David showing me the roots of my extracted tooth (for an implant) was a bit unexpected-he knew I'd want to see. It looked oddly like the tiniest pit of lobster meat from a microscopic pincer. Do you want to know about that?

Recently I had to get a tooth extracted, and as you can imagine, I was very nervous about doing so in Covid times. Ferguson Dental did such an INCREDIBLE job. They take your temperature before you go in, they are all masked up to the hilt. They whisked me right into a room, saw me within a couple of minutes after I arrived. They have installed an UNBELIEVABLE ventilation system so the air is always circulating and fresh. As always, they provided FANTASTIC dental care. First in diagnosis, which was done with great care and empathy and special attention, which as you can imagine with an inflamed rotten tooth, was MUCH appreciated. I had to come back and Dr. Ferguson himself extracted the tooth. Again, their protocol was IMPECCABLE. In less than half an hour they had me numb and had extracted tooth with NO PAIN. I was raised by English people so I have a natural prejudiced against all dental workers. Dr. Ferguson and his AMAZING team dispelled me of my demons and made the whole experience so EASY. If you let them take care of your teeth, I GUARANTEE will not be sorry.

Dr. Ferguson and his staff are so kind and compassionate! I have a history of extreme anxiety whenever I have dental procedures done and Dr. Ferguson and his staff are understanding, patient, and caring. Dr. Ferguson carefully explained the details of a recent procedure I had and talked through options for anxiety reduction. They made me feel comfortable and safe, which is priceless for anyone who has experienced trauma in the past. I'm so glad I found Ferguson Dental and highly recommend them!

During the Pandemic my worry translated into grinding my teeth, which led to a broken crown. Dr. Rachael Cocchia to the rescue! I just had a new crown put in today and I can't believe how much empathy Dr. Rachael has. The procedure went very smoothly and the latest technology they have to create the crown takes all the guesswork out of the procedure. Jami Loomis, the dental assistant at Dr. Rachael's side, was equally on it. I love this practice. We have been coming to them for our family's dentistry for at least 20 years. Dr. David Ferguson is also a gem and equally talented dentist.

When the pandemic "lockdown" began last March, my dentist of many years retired, and I was at a loss, having fairly recently moved to Verona. However, my husband heard through the grapevine that Ferguson Dental Associates in Montclair was a terrific practice. He made an appointment and was so pleased with Dr. Ferguson and the entire staff that I made an appointment. But still, I had some trepidation about going to a new practice in the middle of a pandemic, but I wasted my time worrying because, from the moment I got there until the moment I left, I was delighted with everyone I met --- everyone was so warm, kind, and competent. I was deeply impressed by the obvious high level of expertise and by how respectfully I --- and my teeth! --- were treated. Also, I felt safe as it was obvious that every precaution was being taken to protect staff and patients from covid. Let me add, that I have had met three of the dentists in the practice and they were all fantastic: they put me at ease, were patient with my questions, and conservative in their approach to dentistry, meaning they took a "wait and see" approach to various problems I had been having instead of rushing me into a surgical procedure (an experience I've had in the past). And their approach has been right for me because, with "corrected dental hygiene techniques," the problems seem to be resolving. I would be remiss not to mention the incredible hygienist, who has a gentle touch but does a seriously deep (and painless) cleaning. She is not satisfied until she has triple-checked every tooth to make sure the cleaning meets her high standards. She is an absolute gem: first-rate at her job; super professional; but also down to earth and very caring. One last thing: this practice is run like clockwork and the staff is always courteous and helpful and nice. One last last thing: the hours are so patient-friendly (the practice has night and Saturday hours in addition to regular weekday hours). I'll have to take my husband out to dinner to thank him for finding Ferguson Dental Associates (after the pandemic, of course)!

I started coming to Ferguson Dental a few months back when my previous dentist of 25 years announced he was retiring! I can barely put into words how happy I am that I chose Ferguson Dental as my next dentist for hopefully the next 25 years! The office is clean and professional and the entire staff is friendly and personable!! I have to personally give a shout out to Dawn who cleaned my teeth better in my one visit with her than my previous dentist ever had!! Her knowledge and attention to detail was impeccable, she walked me through the entire process and even gave me tips on how to better care for my teeth to ensure the best oral hygiene possible. It is evident that they truly care for you and your teeth and want you to be as healthy as possible! Another special shout out to Dr. Rachael Cocchia!! I had my first visits with her due to some nasty cavities which needed attention. Not only did she take care of the cavities but also did a thorough check on each tooth to make sure she knew of any potential problem areas to keep an eye on. The level of care and precision was of a degree I never experienced before. I especially was impressed by how much value and respect the doctors, hygienists and assistance all have for one another! I am so glad that I have found my new forever dentist!!

So happy with my visit! Wonderful office and staff. They took the time to understand the issue, offered guidance, and saved me from unnecessary dental work. Appreciate all the COVID safety precautions - everyone was wearing their masks properly, there are air filters set-up and I had windows opened during my exam.

I visited Dr. David Ferguson yesterday for a consultation and evaluation of my dental health. I also had a cleaning with Dawn. Dr. Ferguson is so skilled, kind and knowledgeable. I felt very confident with his care and his recommendations for solutions dealing with my dental issues. Dawn gave me the most excellent cleaning I have ever had and my teeth look great.They practice very safe covid precautions. So glad to have found them.
