I am originally from a small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee, called Springfield. After graduating college from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, I attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis for dental school. During dental school, I met my wonderful husband, Dr. Jay Fergus, who is a dentist in Jonesboro and is originally from Osceola, Arkansas. In dental school I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society, the highest honor society among dental graduates, and upon graduating I was fortunate to be asked to continue my dental education, specializing in orthodontics. I completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where I completed three years of specialized orthodontic training following dental school. I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics a distinction that less than 20% of practicing orthodontists actually receive.
My husband and I have two sons, who are both growing like weeds!We also have our beloved Maltese-Beagle mixed puppy who is 16 lbs of wild hair and energy. Weboth have a passion for college football, and it is no secret I am partial to my Tennessee VolsGo Big Orange! But otherwise, you will always find me cheering for the Razorbacks or the Red Wolves . . . unless they are playing Tennessee.
We love the outdoors and that is why we have made The Natural State our home. Northeast Arkansas has the small-town feel I grew up with and love, but with big-city opportunities. We could not have picked a more perfect place for us to plant our roots and raise our family.
When we opened Fergus Orthodontics, finding the best team possible was extremely important. These girls are amazing at their jobs, they are technically superb, and most importantly they go above and beyond to make everyone feel like they are a part of our orthodontic family.
Basketball and Football. My high school did not have football when I was growing up. My family never missed a basketball game. If the team traveled we traveled. Thus, my love of basketball. My sons went to the same school I did. Tyler played basketball. My son Daniel was in the 7th grade when the school added football and he became a member of the inaugural team, That's when my love for football began.

Watch your insurance! They would not run mine after me asking several times to run it, they told me they would not cover my daughter tongue tamers anyways. Found out this week that they did run my insurance and they did cover part of it! They billed me $440 but they only billed insurance $350? So now it seems instead of giving a refund they are going to re-bill my insurance because someone didn't bill it right? I'm sorry but that's just odd to me. Do your customers right and hold to your "pricing"

Dr Fergus and the staff are great with my boys! The only issue I have had was with the office manager and I started a new job and I was awaiting my employer contribution to my HSA. I literally have nothing else I normally use this money for so I was pretty excited to be able to apply it to their treatment. However when my employer failed to deposit it within 60 days, the office manager talked to me like dirt! After trying to coordinate what a monthly payment would be without this money and me getting increasingly frustrated because I have nothing else to do with my employer contribution, she all the sudden says we can do a yearly payment at the end of the year! Keep in mind, I had offered her a credit card number 3 times on the phone for a down payment prior because she was acting like she needed money ASAP and then all the sudden it's ok to wait?! Long story short, I was ok to pay whatever I needed to to wait until the employer contribution came in... she literally refused and talked to me like I was avoiding paying... I would recommend Dr Fergus, I do however caution if your trying to use an HSA to pay.

I had a two year treatment with Dr Fergus. Dr Fergus, her staff, treatment coordinator, and office manager were all so kind and helpful. They answered any questions and did everything they could to meet any accommodations I requested. I would never recommend anyone to go anywhere else! We will be always be Fergus customers for any orthodontic needs.

This is the worst place! I went there a while back and they said my terry weren't that bad right? Okay explain to me why 2 years later I've gone through 2 surgeries for impacted teeth??? I can't believe these people have a license where did you go to school? Probably somewhere with dirt floors and they spell words exactly how they sound! Very disappointed!! Don't go here!
