Fennell, Yoxthimer, and Associates, DDS is a licensed dental practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to helping our patients maintain healthy gums and teeth and achieve a beautiful smile. Dr. Rob Yoxthimer, a native of Loveland, Ohio, joined the practice in July 2007. He earned a BS in Chemistry from Xavier University, after which he spent five years working as a research chemist for Procter & Gamble. Following Gods prompting, he then attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Yoxthimer has an additional certification to administer IV Sedation so that his patients can have access to comfortable, anxiety-free dental care. He maintains certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Dr. Yoxthimer is particularly interested in IV sedation dentistry, management of medically compromised patients, restorative and endodontic dentistry, implant restorations including All-on-4 techniques, dental aesthetics, oral surgery, oral pathology, and pediatric dentistry. He and his wife, Bekah, also a dentist, have also spent time on short-term dental missions work in Honduras. They have three adventurous boys: Tyler 12, Grant 10, and Zane 6. In his spare time, Dr. Yoxthimer loves spending time with his family, as well as everything outdoors including hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing, photography, woodworking and Jeeps.
Dr. Nate Fennell grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating from Milford High School. He attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He then attended the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Fennell enjoys a wide range of general dentistry, including restorative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, fixed and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and oral surgery. Dr. Fennell is certified to administer IV sedation and he embraces the challenge of treating the nervous dental patient. He also has training in treating the medically compromised patient.
When not treating patients, Dr. Fennell enjoys spending time with his wife Ashleigh, daughter Evelyn and sons Keegan & Hudson. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, and playing golf.
After earning a bachelors degree in Zoology from Miami University, he attended The Ohio State Dental School, where he graduated in 1979 with his doctor of dental surgery (DDS). Following dental school, Dr. Fennell completed a residency at Womack Army Hospital, Ft. Bragg in North Carolina before spending three years in Goeppeingen, Germany, where he served as Officer in Charge of dental services for soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division and their families. While there, he earned the Expert Medical Field Badge and the Army Commendation Medal.
Dr Fennell is on the editorial board of the Journal of Oral Implantology, he has served on the education board of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and has lectured for over 20 years to other implant dentists around the country on topics ranging from head and neck anatomy to platelet rich plasma and platelet rich fibrin use in implant surgery.
Dr. Douglas Dix is a native of Ohio and joined the practice in February 2019. He has over 35 years of experience practicing general dentistry. Dr. Dix earned a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He was awarded a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2005. Areas of specialty include crown and bridge, rotary endodontics, implant restoration and cosmetic dentistry.

They were super friendly. First time ever being a patient. Glad to be there. Great up to date equipment. Pretty impressive. Down to earth felt like I've been going there for awhile. New what they were doing. A very good feeling when I left there. I started coming to this office since October 2020 do to being assaulted and losing one of my front tooth while working at my job. The moment stepped in the front door they took me in like I was their regular patient. Like they knew me forever. I was so impressed by this office and the wonderful people that worked there. They are good honest people. This morning I finally got my implant. Yes it was a very long process but they told me at very beginning. I trusted them to do a good job and they exceeded. Like all of my visits over the years, greeted by a friendly receptionist. Expert cleaning with a check by Dr. Chanatry. Have not run into a grumpy or unpleasant staff person. They listen to the patient and offer great advice.

This is Joan Sellers and I had the dental visit today not my husband, Richard Sellers. Mary Williams was my dental hygienist today. Mary has been my hygienist for probably 15-20 years. Mary always asks how I'm doing and also if I'm experiencing any dental issues. She told me her plans for my appointment today as well as making sure I was comfortable as she tilted my chair backwards so she could work. She even offered me a pillow for my head, which I accepted. Mary is very professional in her work and does an excellent job. She updates me on how my teeth are doing and let's me know what I can do to improve my dental health. When Mary works on me she makes me feel like she cares for me like she would a family member. Dr. Yoxthimer was the dentist who performed my dental exam today. He is very professional in his work and is very thorough in his exam. Dr. Yoxthimer is a kind and caring dentist with outstanding dental skills and concern for his patients. He always makes me feel comfortable and at ease when he examines my teeth. He is an excellent dentist.
