Dr. Feiler has been creating beautiful smiles for 38 years, including those of celebrities from sports, film, television, and Broadway. As a graduate of Rutgers University as well as the Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine, where he later taught prosthodontics and oral diagnosis, he has written and continues to write articles on all aspects of dentistry. This has expanded into founding and directing the New Jersey Health Professionals Development Institute (NJHPDI), which offers a variety of health education courses for dental professionals.

Dr. Freda has been practicing orthodonticsin northern New Jersey since 1986. Dr. Freda received his Bachelors degree at Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his DMD at Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Freda went on to further improve his clinical abilities by completing a General Practice Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital from 1982-1983. Following his General Practice Residency, he went on to complete his Orthodontic Specialty Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) from 1984-1986.
Dr. Karraker attended the University of Illinois Health Science Center in Chicago, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Dentistry as well as her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Before moving to New Jersey with her husband, she practiced dentistry for seven years in Massachusetts. Dr. Karraker has been practicing in our River Edge office for over 25 years! She is a general dentist with a technically meticulous style of practice and a lovely personality. She has a wide range of dental abilities with special interest and expertise in the area of endodontics (root canals).

We are so very happy to have Dr. Clara Park join our practice team here at Feiler Dental Associates in this new year of 2022. While attending college in Atlanta, Georgia, she worked in a pediatric dentistry office working on childrens dental needs and orthodontic needs. She graduated from Emory University in Georgia with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
Dr. Park worked at the Metro Community Health Center in Brooklyn, NY, providing dental care for children and adults with disabilities, and has been practicing general and family dentistry for the past few years, right here in Bergen County in Hackensack.
Dr. Park practices with us full-time now, including Saturdays. She is experienced in working with pediatric, geriatric, and special needs patients. She treats patients' needs in a wide variety of both general and specialty areas of comprehensive oral healthcare (including preventive care, restorative care, prosthetics, endodontic treatment, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry).
Dr. Kenneth Feileris just fantastic with even the most challenging children. Whether doing a magic trick, making an animal balloon, talking about the game they just played, the show they are watching, or the trip or birthday party they just had, he enjoys first making a young patient feel welcome and right at ease before any examination or treatment, as well as during and after any treatment. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is an excellent fountain of knowledge when it comes to teaching the children and informing parents about children's dental development and proper care. He encourages discussions with a child's pediatrician or other specialists when appropriate.Dr. Feiler has three children of his own, (two girls and a boy) now grown up and all still patients. He has coached at least twenty children's sports teams locally in River Edge and Oradell over the years and still supports many of the local children's teams in many sports.
Dr. Feiler has nurtured a practice philosophy at Feiler Dental that children should not just be treated by our practice, but develop as patients for a lifetime of excellent dental care. To that end, we will make the extra effort for your children to take as much time and as many visits as needed to treat their individual personality needs as well as their oral health needs.
We then introduce and teach children about the office and their own mouths. We have a wonderful staff that loves to interact with the children in the practice, making balloons, showing them their teeth on the TV camera, playing with puppets, discussing their needs dentally, and hearing about their school and extracurricular activities. They may even comment on the show your child is watching or the sneakers or shirt they are sporting that day.
As a testimonial to our practice, we receive a wealth of referrals from the parents of our present patients. However, perhaps one of the greatest testimonials Dr. Feiler is proud of is the large number of new child patients whose parents started as his patients when they were children.
Our hygienists are especially trained to treat children, with several of our eight hygienists having children of their own. Since so much of your child's dental care (cleaning, fluoride treatments, sealants, home care instruction, etc.) is delivered by a hygienist, we consider their pediatric training and their wonderful positive attitudes with children crucial to your child's experience at the dental office. We not only send our hygienists to meetings to keep up with the latest in children's dentistry, we have regular monthly hygiene meetings to continually improve the care we provide.
