Ever since I opened my practice from the ground up in 1983, my passion has always been to create a warm, caring atmosphere while delivering the best oral health care to my patients. It truly is the hallmark of our practice.

My team and I focus keenly to allow our patients to be as relaxed as possible and get the best dental care anyone could receive. It sounds basic, but it takes hard work and dedication to achieve these seemingly simple goals. From the moment you walk through our doors, we are dedicated to changing your mind about how dental care should be.

I received my training at the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry and belong to a variety of organized dental societies and study clubs to further my education. We constantly incorporate new technology and techniques into our treatment.

My son, Matthew, has worked in our office since 2010. It is so exciting to work with him and know that our practice is in good hands for a long time. Our philosophy and goals match and complement each other extremely well.

My wife, Susan, and I have lived in the Phoenix, Maryland, area for over 30 years. In addition to Matt we have two other wonderful boys. We are involved in our community through church and other organizations. We are so fortunate to work and live in such a nice area.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, Maryland, and grew up with two brothers, Andrew and Mark. As a child I found myself totally fascinated with sports. Whether it was basketball, golf or lacrosse, I loved being part of a team and the thrill of competition. I attended the St. Johns Evangelist Catholic School from kindergarten through fifth grade. From there I moved on to Boys Latin School of Maryland where I eventually graduated in 2002. At Boys Latin, I excelled in soccer, basketball and lacrosse, becoming a ten letter varsity athlete. For college I attended the Johns Hopkins University for whom I played lacrosse from 2003 to 2006. I was fortunate enough to win a National Championship in 2005 and be a Senior Co-Captain in 2006. I can tell you that one of the neatest things about winning a National Championship is going to the White House and meeting the President.

From there I was accepted into the University of Maryland Dental School. I graduated in 2010 and immediately started working at Feild Family Dentistry with my father. My wife Natalie and I have two children, Abigail and Taylor. We currently live in Baldwin, Maryland.

My interest in dentistry began when I was a young boy going to see my dad at the office. It was always fun to get my teeth cleaned and grab as many prizes as I could when walking out. As I became old enough to understand more about what my father did every day, I became more and more interested in the profession. The interaction with patients and staff was something my personality was drawn to.

With the newer technology making tremendous strides in the profession, this career path was best suited for me. While in dental school I was given a chance to really see what dentistry had to offer. I grasped many aspects such as implants, veneers/cosmetics, and periodontal surgery. I look forward to providing dental care to patients of all ages, as well as taking part in community service throughout the area.

Brutally honest, the whole staff is friendly and professional and Dr. Paul is the best. Only does what's needed is thorough and fair. My regret not coming here 30 years ago. Not a money machine, they truly look our for what is right for the patient. Compassion, caring, and doing right by the patient. We can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Field's, his wife, son and staff. I'm absolutely petrified of dentists, haven't been in years & I've never felt so comfortable as I did here. They went step by step on what they were doing, talked to me about random things to distract me and cracked jokes the whole time to make me less anxious. When I was finished I went to the front desk and asked a million and one questions and they weren't bothered at all. They printed all information needed out for me, took all the time and we're delightful. My bf is having some trouble with his tooth and I basically shouted there's no one else to go to but here. So he is! Thank you for everything!!

I've had my mouth worked on two times in the past 8 months for two different teeth. Both times I've had to go back and get them to fix what they did and still to this day they aren't right and I'm in constant pain which I didn't have before the work was done.

If you have always been afraid to go to the dentist, well you don't have to worry about being afraid anymore if you go to Dr. Fields you will feel a great relief. I know I did my first visit. The staff is awesome and caring. Both father and son truly care about your well being. These guys know how to take care of their patients. It's a great feeling when you know the dentist you are going to, has your best interest at heart. I won't go anywhere else.

I use to be terrified of the dentist until I was referred by a friend to Field Family Dentistry. Now my husband and I both come to Dr. Matt. I have never had a dentist truly care more about his patients. Dr Matt has been available for me to contact after hours and on weekends if I need anything. He also helped my son (who he doesn't see) over the weekend when I couldn't get a hold of my son's on call dentist. I have been seen multiple times in a short period of time for a troubled tooth and I have never been more satisfied with a practice. They don't participate with my insurance and are the first dental practice that will allow me to make payments. He cares about your health and well being over money. And you can see how genuine he is. Anytime I been in pain, I've been able to get in almost right away each time. Staff is great, practice is clean. Dr Matt is an absolute gem and life saver for my family and I!

I have been terrified of the dentist for years dr. Fields and his staff changed that. I had a lot of work done over a few visits everything was explained me very clearly and made sure I was happy with my final results. Keep this in mind this is Coming from a person that avoided dentist like the plague! I really can't say enough about this practice. Thank you Dr fields and staff.

I dont have dental insurance and when my tooth broke I thought that I was going to be paying a fortune. Feild Family Dentistry fit me in very quickly even though I wasn't insured. It's been awhile since I've felt that taken care of. Going to the dentist without insurance is a terrifying experience but they made sure I was comfortable and it was so nice because they actually cared about me. Mr Feild himself took care of my tooth and he actually walked out with me when I paid. I'm not an expert on dental costs but I'm fairly certain he charged me less than it should have costed just so I wouldn't have to pay a fortune out of pocket. This is an amazing dentist with staff and owners so nice that it will make your day and I'm definitely making it my regular dentist when I finally get insured!

Always willing to help and be there for their clients, called them a few times in tears an they got me in on the spot and took absolutely amazing care of me. Best dentist I've been too by far. Dr. Paul an Dr. Matt are amazing!

Long overdue! I've been a patient for years now. This past weekend I broke a tooth, made the appointment Monday and by Tuesday afternoon I was in. Very professional and hygienic with regards to Covid 19.

Field Family Dentistry is the only dentist I have ever gone to, and the only dentist my mom has ever gone to. They make you feel like family, and they are good at what they do. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist that truly cares about your health.

I noticed this business when I would drive by. I made an appointment a couple years ago and haven't regretted it. Both father and son are great. They take great care to make your experience as painless as they can make it. The hygienists are thorough, nice and gentle. The front office are great. Dr. field's wife decorates the office and it looks great!
