Dr. Feild, of Robert J. Feild, D.D.S. & Thomas W. Feild, D.D.S. Family Dentistry, was born and raised in Arlington, Virginia, the son of an FBI special agent and a high school science teacher. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Virginia Tech, went on to Georgetown University School of Dentistry, and graduated in 1983 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
His wife, Terri, graduated from Radford University with a degree in accounting. They moved to Hampton, Virginia in 1983 and began his practice of dentistry with Dr. I.V. Behm. Bob is the father of twins, and now enjoys the luxury of working with his son, Thomas W. Feild D.D.S. Tom's twin sister is a physical therapist working and living in Williamsburg.
Dr. Feild enjoys spending time with his family, playing at Lake Gaston, and traveling. He has been a member of the Hampton Rotary Club for more than 35 years, and is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and a past president of the Peninsula Dental Society.
Dr. Tom Feild was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. He attended Kecoughtan High School and received his BS degree from Virginia Tech in 2008. He then attended dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University, and received his D.D.S. degree in 2013.
Dr. Tom is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Peninsula Dental Society. He enjoys being able to work alongside his father at the family dental practice in his hometown. Dr. Tom also enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, and working on his many hobbies, including gardening, woodworking, camping, and fishing. Dr. Tom is dedicated to providing dental care with a genuine, caring attitude.

This place isn't for children. I wasn't told this before I made a appointment. The dentist took a look at my child's teeth and in less than 30 seconds he said there isn't anything we could do here for you and to go to pediatric dentist. So why haven't you told me this? I had wasted my time and took off from work to go here and to be told we can't do anything for your child! This place just wants to take your insurance money and tell you there isn't much we can do and go to a different dentist for pediatric needs. The dentist was very rude and not helpful at all. He acted like my child's teeth were going to need to be worked on. He basically took 30 seconds to look at her teeth and Saud nothing I can do. They can bill insurance and take their money because they are greedy

Feild Dentistry has made being a patient easy with their helpfulness and hospitality. My family started coming here after our previous dentist stopped participating in our insurance and we never knew what we were missing. Dr. Tom is a courteous, skilled professional and the hygienists and office staff are excellent. Everything is spotless, warm and welcoming.

I found them through Google and decided to go here due to convenience. They had the earliest available appointment for a new patient. My overall experience was very pleasant. The dental hygienist was nice with a bubbly personality. The dentist was also cool and humorous. They did an amazing job on my teeth. I was in and out. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend a friend.

I was running late and they still welcomed me in, so I was very grateful for that. I'd never seen my hygienist before, but she was kind and attentive. I had also never had the water jet on my teeth before. That was interesting, but she did great and calmed me down. So 5 stars from me!

The dentist was excellent. The best I have ever been to. The staff is wonderful and pleasant. The office is nice and clean. The best part is the dentist walk you through all the steps and is very gentle. I would recommend.

I learned of this practice through a neighborhood website. As a new patient, I could not be more thrilled! The knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff was impressive, particularly when compared with previous experiences. The cleanliness of the facility and warm reception also provided a great contrast; everyone seemed happy. While the staff at the previous dentist office was "nice," I never left a routine exam feeling that my teeth were clean or that the doctor had listened to any concerns that were noted in my chart. I have lived here for six years and am thrilled to have found Feild Family Dentistry!
