Dr. Blake Feil is an orthodontist, entrepreneur, lifelong learner, and proud Bismarck-Mandan resident. He has been asking the community to Smile with Feil since opening Feil Orthodontics in 2009 and continues to serve the surrounding communities with locations in Bismarck, Mandan, Beulah, and Dickinson.
He began his entrepreneurial career in Mandan at age 11, catching and selling turtles, salamanders, frogs, fish, and snakes in a pet shop out of his garage. He then co-owned his own vending machine company, which he ran throughout his years at Mandan High School. After realizing that both snakes and candy are best in small doses, he pursued a degree in orthodontics, which allows him to create something the world can always use more of.
Dr. Feil is a strong advocate of lifelong learning and personal growth. He strongly believes that every person deserves to feel confident, capable, joyful, and worthy of a beautiful future, and this drives him to help patients reach their personal goals every day as an orthodontist. Dr. Feil takes pride in making sure his patients receive care consistent with the latest advancements in orthodontics.
Dr. Feil completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Dakota, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Creighton University in Nebraska, and earned his Master of Science (MS) and Orthodontic Certificate from the University of Colorado. He has served as president of the longest-running dental education meeting in Colorado. He is currently a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and an active member of Spear Education, an innovative dental continuing education initiative.
Dr. Feil is proud to call North Dakota home and is passionate about seeing our state thrive. He has been a strong supporter of the Bismarck/Mandan community, earning the Prudential Spirit of the Community award, and is proud to be an Eagle Scout from Mandan Troop 54. Dr. Feil is passionate about giving back to our community. He serves as a board member for the ND Department of Health Special Health Services and volunteers for the regional Cleft Lip Cleft Palate Clinic, which coordinates care for ND children born with craniofacial anomalies.
When he isnt working with patients in his clinic, youll find Dr. Feil reading (a book or three a week), dreaming up new entrepreneurial ventures, planting (hundreds of trees a year) to support ND conservation efforts, hunting, hiking, traveling, and enjoying life with his wife, Tara, and their four wonderful kids.

I absolutely am a huge fan of Dr. Feil and his team! I went through a major transformation with them! They were all great to work with and they did amazing work on my teeth! I would strongly recommend their team hands down to make your smile amazing!

This is hands down the best Dentist I've ever sent my child to, I wish I could give you all 20 stars. Dr. Feil and his team have been nothing short of amazing during our entire time with them. The treatment we received was amazing and as a mother who has an outrageous fear of dentists from own personal experiences, I can honestly say this is a wonderful place to go and I'm glad my daughter has a great experience to get her started on maintaining healthy teeth. My daughter had her braces taken off today and her teeth look amazing! From the professionalism to the cleanliness of the office and everything in between this is a wonderful place! They have great coffee and nice smelling chapstick also. Thank you Dr Feil and staff for taking such wonderful care of my daughter during her braces journey. You are a wonderful contributor to the community and I hope you keep doing amazing work!!

Our family loves Dr. Feil and his team! They are extremely caring and create an experience far more impactful than just the process of getting braces. They took the time to help our children understand how to be successful through the process, took the time to get to know their personalities and on top of that...they provide phenomenal dental work.

Doctor is Good, But the 1 star is for the scheduling nightmare, The business has taken up too many clients, servicing the clients in hand has become a big challenge. I am ready to go to either location Bis or Mandan but after school options are too little or not available at all. At the time of signing up for the services, all promises were made that appointment availability is not an issue and all that.... My recommendation is to look for other options if you worry about kids missing school...If thats not an issue...Good place!!

Blake and his team are so great to work with. I shared before hand how much anxiety my child has and they have gone above and beyond to make the experience easier on him. Blake is super patient, understanding and calm with him. His technicians think outside of the box in ways to talk him through what they will be doing and even throw on Netflix to keep his mind off of things. It is definitely not easy to handle anxiety filled patients and his technicians are SO amazing about it. I highly recommend Feil Orthodontics especially for kiddos that aren't a huge fan of the dentist/orthodontist.

Told one of the assistant I'm going to go by a fridge and she came back with a cup that had a fridge on it and said good luck. That made my day!!
