I believe in conservative, minimally invasive dentistry. I also believe that the fear can be taken out of dentistry with the correct approach for each individual. Patients each have differentneeds and that is the exciting part of dentistry to me! If you are fearful, I encourage you to come and see the difference we are able to provide! There are several easy sedation techniques that I am able to utilize to alleviate anxiety for patients, allowing their dental work to be completed in a calm and efficient manner.
Artistry: As a youth, my interests included drawing, painting, and creating. I am pleased that I am able to incorporate those skills into every tooth and smile that I restore. I love to take the time to make a restoration more life-like and seamless.
Diagnosis: Dentistry allows me to be a problem solver. I enjoy finding out the best way to conservatively restore a tooth, as well as rehabilitating the mouth as a whole. Diagnosis also involves what a patient's true concerns are, whether it be aesthetic or functional needs.
Relationships: Lastly, to me, dentistry is all about building relationships for life! It is such an honor when a patient tells me that they feel I care about them as an individual and not just as a mouth. I enjoy getting to know my patients beyond their dental care. At my office, my staff and I will strive to make you feel at home.
My wife and I have been married since 2009 and have lived in Federal Way since 2012. My wife works as a physician in Federal Way and both of us enjoy serving our community. We are blessed with two children, Cora and Caleb.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing the guitar, water activities such as stand-up paddle boarding and boating, and sci-fi movies. I also serve as a member of the music ministry at my church and a mentor to the youth group.

Dr. Barbara Billings began the dental practice in 1979, in the heart of Federal Way. For nearly 40 years, Dr. Billings built the office on the core values of conservative, gentle dentistry. Dr. Billings and Dr. Dang met in the summer of 2017. Their lifelong friendship began over discussions of travel, family, art and dentistry. Dr. Billings and Dr. Dang found that their dental philosophies were very similar: First and foremost, truly caring for the patient as a person. Dr. Dang, having worked in Lakewood, WA for ten years, was thrilled with the opportunity to serve in the community where he lived, just as Dr. Billings had for forty years. Both doctors saw that the transition would be a perfect fit for the patients.
Dr. Billings transitioned the practice to Dr. Dang in May 2018, allowing Dr. Billings to begin a much deserved retirement. Dr. Dang continues to instill in his staff the foundation laid in 1979: Complete long term dental health, and with immediate priority being patient comfort.
Our office is filled with state of the art diagnostic and dental treatment technology to ensure accuracy and early detection of oral complications. We believe our patients deserve only the best, and our staff works hard to deliver an exceptional visit.
My goal is providing the best treatment possible in a friendly, family-oriented setting. My staff and I look forward to addressing your individual needs and concerns. Our practice aims to be efficient and fun but very professional with our dentistry. We want to ensure that all of our patients are comfortable as possible. I am able to utilize a variety of methods to help you have a wonderful experience.

The front desk was amazing. Dr.Dang was very kind, funny, informative and firm on what we needed to do. He also took time out to ask questions about me to get to know me. The assistants were kind, funny, and helpful. Hands down such a blessing to be a patient. Everyone is truly amazing and I thank you all so much.

I HATE DENTISTS!!! But am a total fan of Dr Dang and his staff! In fact, we followed him when he left his previous location in Lakewood, which was just minutes away, to his practice in Federal Way. He's worth the traffic! I've had to go through a few convoluted experiences with my teeth, and without a doubt, were it anyone else providing the dental care, I'd have chickened out and would probably be in a bad situation by now. Dr Dang and his staff make you feel welcome and very safe. The hygienists are thorough and gentle, and very good at what they do. They also do the follow up calls/texts after the bigger appointments that many do not. If you're looking for a gentle, compassionate, friendly dentist ... with slim fingers ... Make an appointment!

So, I be waited awhile to get in to the dentist. The longest I've ever gone & thought the visit was going to be horrible. It wasn't at all. First, , Dr. Van Dang sat and talked to me for about 15-20 minutes just about life, what I do with my time, etc. My exam was easy & we set a plan that I can understand because everything was explained to me thoroughly. The girls in the office were also friendly & fun. He did well in hiring everyone I talked with. 5+ stars!

I've been going there for years. Dr. Dang just took over when Dr. Billings retired. She found the best replacement possible. Great doctor and staff. All work as a real team. Highly recommended.

Due to insurance changes at work I needed to find a different dentist so I went with my wife's dentist and I am glad I did. Very professional and they treat you like a friend instead of a patient. Dr. Van Dang is very knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know you and explains exactly what procedure he will perform and why. The office staff is really friendly and that says a lot when employees love their job. Like most people I still hate going to the dentist but with this group of professionals I feel welcomed and at ease.
