A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.

If you are an adult with Georgia Medicaid I do not recommend you use Farrey Family Dentistry. I have been a Medicaid member for several years and have never had issues before. This was my first and only visit with them; I verified several times with the practice that they accepted my insurance and they also verified my eligibility before the visit began. However, after my exam they proceeded to tell me that I was not covered for cleanings. I argued with them that I had always been covered for 2 cleanings a year and they asked how old I was, I'm 38. They stated that Peach State Health Plan does not cover 38 year olds, it is for children and younger adults. I knew this was not correct as I'd checked my coverage on the website and via a phone representative before I ever made the appointment. I paid $115 for the cleaning and as soon as it was over I called Peach State to again verify I was covered for cleanings. I am. When I called the office to plead my case I was told again, no, due to my age I was not covered. I asked had they even run the claim and they said no, they wouldn't run the claim because in the past it wasn't covered. I'm not sure as to the validity of their claim, in my experience for roughly the past 15 years Peach State has covered eligible adults for cleanings under their dental plan. I don't know if Farrey Family Dentistry is confusing Peach State Health Plan with Peach Care for Kids or if they choose to remain uninformed as a means to make more money. The $115 I paid out of pocket is more than their agreed reimbursed amount with Peach State. Just to be clear, I am 100% covered for cleanings, but because they choose to believe I am not, they will not run my insurance. This is not a mistake on my part, I checked multiple times with my insurance and Farrey Family Dentistry is just plain wrong. There is no recourse. Peach State cannot make them run my insurance and even as a Peach State provider it is still their right to not bill for services. I've read other Google reviews for Farrey Family Dentistry and I see that Farrey Family Dentistry tries to refute the negative reviews, they may do so for mine as well, but heed my warning, regardless of what they say, they were in the wrong in this scenario. Their claim that due to my age I'm not covered is 100% false and misinformation, it is easily verified by several means, publicly through the Peach State website and privately by calling as a Provider to verify my coverage (a common practice of doctor's offices when dealing with insurance) as well as online portals designed specifically for Providers to do this. They are simply refusing to do either. I have cancelled my sons appointment and informed the office we wish to no longer be patients of theirs and we will find a new dentist, just in case they try to say they looked up my name and I'm not a current patient of theirs, which kind of sounds a little like a HIPAA violation per this statement regarding doctor's offices responding to negative online reviews: "When you're responding to someone online and acknowledging that you, in fact, treated them, you have already confirmed that a patient treated by you has at least the username and IP address associated with the post, if not also their name, photos of them, and much, much more that they may have included in their post. Remember that this all counts as a breach of HIPAA, even if they were the one to disclose it.".

They were very very polite and professional. They didn't hesitate to go ahead and work up a plan to get my teeth taken care of so I wouldn't be in pain or sick anymore. I love then and will be switching my whole family to this dentist

My visit was outstanding. The staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The doctor is a young black woman who is very informative, she explained to me exactly what i needed to get done in a Way that I could understand. Not having insurance and learning that they had a in-house insurance plan was very helpful . I was able to get my deep cleaning x-rays and exam at one small fraction of the cost. When the doctor numb my mouth I barely felt it and the hygienist was extremely gentle as well. They made me feel very comfortable seeing as how I'm usually very self-conscious when it comes to my teeth. I will be returning with my children for services.

I went for a filling. It was determined that the tooth needed to be pull and I needed a deep cleaning instead of a regular cleaning. The front office was on point with my bill and paper work. Tracy was very educational on my procedre she was the reason I got the work done. I brought her lunch. I wad there on 5/17/22 and. 5/18/22. My procedre took. 2 days. Thank you all for the good work.

At first I was pleased with my initial visit. Then when it came time to start doing everything it went downhill. Dr. Farrey is fine, I feel like there's lack of knowledge from her staff especially the front desk. I was given wrong information and drove 40 minutes for nothing. I also have gone 2 years dealing with an issue that I feel like as a practice, I should have gotten more assistance than what I did. I usually didn't get calls back and nothing ever got resolved. I'm not saying this practice is bad but my experience definitely was. Now I'm stuck pay an extra $2k
