Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

After an awful first visit (where I ingested a tremendoys amount of sodium hydroxide) that made me ill, being told I needed to finance $6300 because the doctor felt that's what was best), and then being told I needed additional endodontist appointments (when I was told it would be done in one), I left FMD. After receiving my x-rays, I forwarded them (and a copy of my care plan) to my previous dentist in NY. Upon review of my x-rays, it is his professional opinion that one of my teeth did NOT require a root canal. He also told me that a bridge is terrible for my teeth, and that a tooth that only needed to be filled was ground down for a crown to accommodate the bridge! He also urged me to inquire why they neglected to schedule a cleaning or an appointment for the filling that I needed, during the 5 weeks between my initial appointment on August 19th and the subsequent on September 27th. We all know why...not enough money in those. I have sent multiple emails to the office manager regarding the credit to my account, and she responded by saying it is under review by the owner and patient relations. Farragut Modern Dentistry is managed by a corporation called Pacific Dental, a company with many unanswered complaints and only a 30% response rate on the BBB site. Many of the negative patient reviews of FMG and MMD (Maryville) are in regards to the recommendation of unnecessary treatments, over charging, and the delayed return of funds owed to the patient. Shame on this practice and anyone involved with its' unscrupulous actions.

Dr Harrison, the assistants, hygienists and the front desk team are amazing! I am sensitive with pain in my mouth and have had a lot of issues with rotting and cracked teeth the last few years. Over and over they work me in, take a lot of time answering my many questions with my high anxiety, and try to make sure I am no longer having pain- with the least invasive possible solutions. I highly recommend them!!!

Dr. Enger took the time to go above and brings to explain and re-explain my issue could understand AND feel comfortable with my procedure. I was grateful for feeling more at ease during a stressful decision. Yay!!

I will never go back to this place again. I feel as if I should have gotten a second opinion but didn't. I paid in full for all service I was to receive and somehow they tried charging me more. I did however have a itemized receipt showing what I was told I was to get for what I paid for!

I was referred to Farragut Modern Dentisty by my regular dentist, once I entered the office they made me feel so relaxed and took care of my problems without any issues. Dr. Enger did an amazing job with my filling and preparation for my root canal. They explained the process very well and Courtney from front office did all the finance work and I was able to leave that day with a beautiful Smile!!!! Thank you to all the staff! I will recommend this office to anyone who needs any work done! A+

I had an extremely positive experience at Farragut Modern Dentistry. The entire staff was extremely nice, up-front, honest, and thorough. I was given a very in-depth analysis of my mouth, potential problems, and how I could solve them along with the help of the dentists and oral hygienists. As far as the actual cleaning went, it was the best dental experience I have ever had. Melani specifically, who was the one who cleaned my teeth, was extremely thorough and seemed like she sincerely cared about me and my results. She was so nice during the cleaning, giving me all kinds of advice about oral health, as well as sage advice about life itself. All in all, A+, 10/10, and I am already looking forward to my next appointment in 6 months.

These folks are great! Friendly staff to greet and take care of you.... Works with you through any of ur issues and when you have bad insurance they help you put together a plan to get things taken care of. Love the Dentist as well.. friendly caring and helpful and does great careful work! Thanks so much!!

Dr Harrison is everything you could ask for in a great dentist.All his work with me has been top knotch.He explains all procedures throughly. Ive experienced no pain with any procedures.Hope he will be my dentist for years to come. All the staff at Modern Dentistry were also great.Friendly and great service. I was so pleased with my experience at Farragut Modern Dentistry! I was impressed with the thoroughness of the professional staff, from x-ray, in-house custom inlays, and modern technology. I appreciated that the cost of treatment and insurance coverage/options was discussed before beginning treatment.
