Dr. Farnsworth enjoys the art and science of creating beautiful smiles. He stays current with the latest research and technology in orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Farnsworth enjoys camping, waterskiing, reading, but most of all, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and four children.
Dr. Justin Sorensen was raised in south eastern Arizona. Following high school, he served for two years as a missionary in West Virginia. After returning home, he worked as an electrician while pursuing his interests in art and architecture at Eastern Arizona College. He became fascinated with the art and science of orthodontics while receiving orthodontic treatment for the first time at age twenty-four.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a bachelors degree in applied biology. Dr. Sorensen received his dental training at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. In dental school, he received many awards and scholarships for his academic performance, service contributions, and outstanding patient management. He graduated from dental school at the top of his class and was inducted into the national dental honor society. He was then accepted to Saint Louis University, where he completed his specialty training. SLU is known as one of the finest orthodontic residency programs in the nation.
Dr. Sorensen cares deeply for his patients and their families. He enjoys getting to know each and every patient, and creating personal, lasting relationships. He seeks to be an empathetic and active listener and is a firm believer in treating his patients and team like family. He is passionate about creating beautiful smiles; you will notice that he has an incredible eye for detail and a natural artistic ability to take your smile to the next level. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and remains a learner of orthodontics and personal improvement.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sorensen loves spending time with his wife, Aubry, and two children. His son, Stockton, was diagnosed with non-verbal autism at a young age, which has made him more aware and sensitive to the needs and struggles of others. He enjoys the outdoors, sports, good bbq, music, and a nice pair of socks.
Dr. Jacob Shelley was raised in Southwest New Mexico where he spent many years working on his grandfathers cattle ranch near the Mogollon Mountains. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at Brigham Young University and graduated with honors.
In 2015, Dr. Shelley was accepted to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, which is renowned for its clinical excellence and public health focus. During his training, he practiced dentistry at multiple community health clinics and earned a certificate in public health in addition to a DMD degree. He then completed his orthodontic specialist residency at Saint Louis University, where he earned a masters degree while performing research on Invisalign clear aligners. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the national dental honor society).
Dr. Shelley loves creating beautiful confident smiles and treats every patient the same way he would treat his own family. His favorite pastime is hiking and biking with his wife and two children. He has been actively engaged with his community, serving in multiple youth mentorship programs and as a leadership partner for the American Red Cross. He enjoys sports (especially soccer, tennis, and pickleball), birdwatching, dad jokes, New Mexico sunsets, and tasty salsa.

We had such a wonderful experience at Farnsworth Orthodontics! From the moment we walked in, I felt welcomed into a caring and clean atmosphere. Dr. Sorensen was amazing and discovered what my son was dealing with immediately. He didn't push treatment but laid all the options out so clearly. Ms. Latricia Sanchez talked it over with us and she was tremendous. She was so reassuring to my son and made sure he felt at ease and confident. The whole experience made me want to go forward with the option to start treatment at their office. I wish I could remember everyone's names but, suffice to say, they were all amazing! Thank you so much!

Farnsworth in Clovis is the best! My daughter started here & they are always friendly and make it a pleasant experience. Plus they are so good about fitting us in if she has a pokey wire. Their rewards program helps motivate my daughter to wear her rubber bands & keep up with the plan. Just a great experience all around

I was recommended to Farnsworth by Plains dental for my oldest son. I was immediately blown away by the kindness and professionalism everyone displayed while still having fun and making it an enjoyable experience for my son. There was a questionnaire I filled out the day prior with some of my sons interests and they were brought up organically during the appointment and made him feel comfortable. They were extremely detailed in their approach for treatment, showed videos and I didn't feel like I was being rushed out of the office. Also, Definitely do the "straighten things" homage shirts we briefly talked about ahah we also loved the Santa Cruz type sticker with the Farnsworth ortho logo at the desk The boys loved the ice cream at the end of the appointment. All such small details that stuck with me and made me feel at home in a place I would normally feel out of place. Highly recommend!

We went for a consultation for two of our children, and not only did the entire office make the kids feel comfortable they made me feel comfortable. They explained the entire treatment plan, and made sure we understood everything. Their recommendations were honest, and delivered with the utmost kindness. It is clear they genuinely care about their patients and giving the best care they can!

Wow is the most I can say about this orthodontist office!!!!! Our experience was definitely one of a kind! We met this love office after my husbands new job, this was a blessing because the state insurance was not going to help. Unfortunately after about a quarter of the time frame expected for the braces my husband did the unthinkable and took his own life on a day we were here at the office.........this company not only gave us the time need to try to heal but they also lovingly welcomed us back and helped us to continue this blessing with a great end!! Today is the day my son gets his braces off and a new chapter begins, much more then an orthodontist office here people!!!! So much more!! My heart has learned so much from these B-E-A-utiful people!! Thank you will never be enough, but THANK YOU

This is truly a great place for orthodontic care! I went to a different place prior to coming here and felt very unhappy with the plan they wanted for my son. When I told them I had concerns about their plan, the appointment went south. I happened to find Farnsworth Orthodontics by accident. Coming here I shared my concerns and they were very understanding and worked with me to develop a plan that would work best for my son and give him the best possible outcome! They have been absolutely wonderful with my son's care and I must say, he has been smiling a whole lot more! Absolutely wonderful and friendly group! I'm so glad I stumbled across this place!

This is an excellent place for both adults and kids. They are organized, highly skilled, friendly, and kind. Everything in the office is modern and clean. My daughter actually looks forward to going to the orthodontist, which is pretty amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Sorenson and his staff, with no reservations or caveats. Clovis and Portales are lucky to have them!

Incredibly impressed with Dr. Sorenson and staff! I came in needing a composite fix and a new retainer. They got me in and fixed up very quickly! The moment I walked in, I felt very comfortable and welcome. I've worn braces 2 times in my 30 years! Regular metal and Invisaline. I walked out more confident with my smile than I thought possible AND he was so gentle while working in my mouth! That always makes for a pleasant experience! Dr. Sorenson cared to do the best job he could as soon as he looked closely at my prior work! He was tedious and I can say I've never had better work! I know where I'll be taking my kids when that time comes without a doubt! Very impressive building, staff, and services! Great work Farnsworth Ortho! Great to have you here!

I enjoyed my experience here at Farnsworth Orthodontics! They have very lovely staff and it is incredibly beautiful inside. They helped improve my smile so much. I had a situation with my lower clear retainer breaking. I called to ask if I can get a new one made. They really did their best, despite the current pandemic, to get me in. Luckily, I was able to get in the same day and was treated with so much respect. I made the best decision getting my service taken care of by Farnsworth Orthodontics whom taking their patients seriously and ensure that customer satisfaction remains a priority!
