Dr. Farnsworth enjoys the art and science of creating beautiful smiles. He stays current with the latest research and technology in orthodontics and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Farnsworth enjoys camping, waterskiing, reading, but most of all, he loves spending time with his beautiful wife and four children.
Dr. Justin Sorensen was raised in south eastern Arizona. Following high school, he served for two years as a missionary in West Virginia. After returning home, he worked as an electrician while pursuing his interests in art and architecture at Eastern Arizona College. He became fascinated with the art and science of orthodontics while receiving orthodontic treatment for the first time at age twenty-four.
He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a bachelors degree in applied biology. Dr. Sorensen received his dental training at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. In dental school, he received many awards and scholarships for his academic performance, service contributions, and outstanding patient management. He graduated from dental school at the top of his class and was inducted into the national dental honor society. He was then accepted to Saint Louis University, where he completed his specialty training. SLU is known as one of the finest orthodontic residency programs in the nation.
Dr. Sorensen cares deeply for his patients and their families. He enjoys getting to know each and every patient, and creating personal, lasting relationships. He seeks to be an empathetic and active listener and is a firm believer in treating his patients and team like family. He is passionate about creating beautiful smiles; you will notice that he has an incredible eye for detail and a natural artistic ability to take your smile to the next level. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and remains a learner of orthodontics and personal improvement.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sorensen loves spending time with his wife, Aubry, and two children. His son, Stockton, was diagnosed with non-verbal autism at a young age, which has made him more aware and sensitive to the needs and struggles of others. He enjoys the outdoors, sports, good bbq, music, and a nice pair of socks.
Dr. Jacob Shelley was raised in Southwest New Mexico where he spent many years working on his grandfathers cattle ranch near the Mogollon Mountains. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology at Brigham Young University and graduated with honors.
In 2015, Dr. Shelley was accepted to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health, which is renowned for its clinical excellence and public health focus. During his training, he practiced dentistry at multiple community health clinics and earned a certificate in public health in addition to a DMD degree. He then completed his orthodontic specialist residency at Saint Louis University, where he earned a masters degree while performing research on Invisalign clear aligners. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the national dental honor society).
Dr. Shelley loves creating beautiful confident smiles and treats every patient the same way he would treat his own family. His favorite pastime is hiking and biking with his wife and two children. He has been actively engaged with his community, serving in multiple youth mentorship programs and as a leadership partner for the American Red Cross. He enjoys sports (especially soccer, tennis, and pickleball), birdwatching, dad jokes, New Mexico sunsets, and tasty salsa.
