Theresa has been a dental hygienist with Farmington Family Dentistry since its inception in 2009. She received her Associates of Science from the Tunxis Community College Dental Hygiene program in 1991, making this her 30th year as a registered dental hygienist. Theresa makes it a priority to connect with her patients and make them feel comfortable in the dental chair. She loves working with children and has extensive experience working in pediatrics. When shes not working, Theresa enjoys spending time with her entire family at their home in Unionville. She also has a passion for party planning and loves to entertain friends and family.
Marylee has been a dental hygienist with Farmington Family Dentistry since 2009. She attended the University of Bridgeport and earned an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. She then went on to attain a bachelors degree in general studies from the University of Connecticut. What she enjoys most about working for Farmington Family Dentistry are the relationships formed with her patients that she cares for in the practice, in addition to the high level of professionalism we provide to all our patients. In her spare time she loves cooking for her family and playing tennis, golf and bridge.
Gina is the newest addition to Farmington Family Dentistry. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. She brings extensive experience to the practice, both as a dental hygienist and dental assistant. Her career has been focused clinical care, working in both pediatric and family dentistry. She has a compassionate nature that can calm the most anxious patient. Outside the office Gina loves spending time with her wonderful husband, amazing child and chunky fur babies. She enjoys hiking the hills of Scotland and the U.S., belly dancing, going to the symphony, visiting cultural arts festivals and practicing energy work on family and friends. Her happy place is beach anywhere, anytime!
Dawn gratefully joined the Farmington Family Dentistry team in 2019 after she and Dr Wilhelms met at the Connecticut State Dental Association annual meeting. Dawn brings 40 years of clinical experience to the office and often knows what the doctors need before they do!! She loves to chat with everyone and can calm down even the most anxious patient. In addition to her vast experience, she brings a positive vibe that cannot be missed. Outside of the office Dawn loves to travel, go to craft fairs, exercise and spend time with her family.
Latoya joined Farmington Family Dentistry in 2020. She enjoys being a part of a general dentistry practice because it allows her to utilize all her training and experience. She enjoys being able to work with patients, to help them understand their dental needs. She has a natural way to help calm patients in the chair, her laugh is infectious!! Outside of dentistry, Latoya is an avid learner. She loves to read, listen to music and binge Netfix!!
Dr. Wilhelms established Farmington Family Dentistry in 2009. She had the support of a fantastic staff as she started this adventure. Dr. Wilhelms grew up on Long Island and attended SUNY Stony Brook where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She came to Farmington to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1988. She was awarded the International College of Dentistry Award for Excellence in Dentistry. Dr Wilhelms continued her education at Hartford Hospital in the General Practice Residency Program. She volunteered at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine as a clinical preceptor in the Prosthodontics clinic from 19901992. She continued to pay it forward as a member of the medical staff at Hartford Hospital volunteering as an attending doctor in the Department of Dentistry from 19962011.
Dr. Wilhelms genuinely enjoys being a part of a family practice because it allows her to form lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She continually is looking for the best materials, techniques and equipment to give her patients the highest quality care available.
When Dr. Wilhelms is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying the Connecticut shore, staying active and is always on the lookout for a great recipe that will become the next Miranda classic!!
Dr. Selinga has been with Farmington Family Dentistry since it was established in 2009. She is a hometown girl as she is a Farmington High School graduate. She then went on to attend Fairfield University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Mathematics. Dr. Selinga then returned to Farmington to attend the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She graduated in 1996 and then continued her training and earned a certificate in a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program at SUNY Stony Brook in 1997.
Outside of the office Dr. Selinga is a wife and mother to three children. This keeps her very busy, but she also loves reading, going to the beach and cheering on her kids in all of their athletic endeavors!!

I had an appointment today at Farmington Family dentistry. When I went there, I was told that I owed them $30+ and its in collection so they canceled my appointments and all future appointments for the family this year. When asked whether I could pay it right there I was told that nobody in billing is available nor do they have number for collection agency. This is the first time we have experienced this anywhere. Very disappointed with their service. I had taken half day off from work for this appointment and they had no courtesy to inform by call or text that my appointment has been canceled.

Everyone in this office is top notch! I have gone to so many dentist over the years you name it I have been there, and non of them measure up to FFD... A friend of mine told me "Go see Dr W" When I met Dr Wilhelms I instantly trusted her! She made my anxiety going to see a dentist at easy!! She doesn't sugar coat and she gives you multiple options to go about doing one thing!!! She treats you like your her own family!!!! It's not about the $$ for her it's about the outcome and your health - and that's hard to find in a dentist. Price is fair and her work is one of the highest I have seen in her profession! I moved my whole family to see her. My kids finally look forward to getting their teeth cleaning!!! They see Dr I highly remember Farmington Family Dentistry!

The best dental office that I have ever been too! The entire staff is just like family to me. My 4 y/o son loves going there too! The office is bright, cheerful & clean. The staff are so friendly, funny, helpful, accommodating & efficient. I have clean & healthy teeth all thanks to Farmington Family Dentistry! They are the best!

I love the dentists! I don't particularly care for the front office staff. One front office person kept asking me why I didn't find a dentist closer to where I lived. I told her I like the dentist. That wasn't good enough. When I moved in town, the same front office person said at least I was a little closer. When I switched dentists -- because of the front end person -- I told her and she said "Good." In retrospect, I should have said something to the dentist because the office lost a patient. I take care of my teeth so I only have to go twice a year. Perhaps the front office didn't think they made enough money from me. Their loss.

This has got to be the worst office I have ever dealt with. I would be a cash paying patient and they won't even tell you how much a visit will cost until after you have the visit. Who would ever agree to come in as a patient with these stipulations? And why would a practice ever want to deter a cash paying customer?

I read the bad reviews about the front desk staff, and I don't want dismiss anyone's experiences, but I was very surprised. They have always been so professional and helpful to me. Honestly, they are probably the nicest front desk staff I've ever dealt with. And the dentists and dental hygienists in this office are wonderful. I normally hate going to the dentist, but with this office, I honestly don't mind.
