Dr. Robert Katz graduated William H. Hall High School in West Hartford, CT in 1980. He then went to Clark University in Worcester, MA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. In 1988, he graduated with his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Katz is married to his lovely wife Debbie and have three great children. I truly love practicing dentistry, spending time at the beach and working on my golf game.
Dr. Marcinczyk was born and educated in Poland. She attended university in Warsaw with a degree in engineering. When she immigrated to the United States sixteen years ago, she had the opportunity to fulfill her dream of becoming a dentist. She entered and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, and then pursued a postgraduate Residency Program at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, in General Dentistry with special training in implant surgery, root canal procedures, and Invisalign. She joined the practice with Dr. Katz in 2009, and has so very much enjoyed caring for her patients and the office environment. In her spare time, she enjoy bicycling, traveling, art, her dear friends, caring for her elderly parents, and her beautiful Blue Point Persian cat, Mimi.
Dr. Michael Katz received his undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut, earning a degree in Allied Health Sciences. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of New England School of Dental Medicine. Dr Katz has also had rigorous training in endodontics, oral surgery and dental implant surgery as well as treating children. Dr Katz is married to his wonderful wife Cara and resides in West Hartford with their 2 golden doodles, Cliff and Clyde. When not treating patients or attending continuing dental education, he enjoys basketball, snowboarding, hiking with his dogs and traveling. Dr Katz strives to provide excellent care in a family friendly environment.
Dr. Reza, originally from California, received his Bachelors degree at the University of California Berkeley and his Dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan. He moved to Connecticut in 2018 to enjoy a calmer, rural life after many years in the city. Dr. Reza has been practicing dentistry for over 5 years. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Connecticut State Dental Association. His professional interests emphasize oral surgery, endodontics, and esthetic dentistry. Dr. Reza excels in providing his patients with a comfortable experience and calming those with dental anxiety. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, hiking with his dog and painting.
Dr. Baclija grew up in New York and graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. She then earned a General Practice Residency certificate from the postgraduate training program at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Dr. B loves getting to know her patients and providing gentle, compassionate, and thorough dental care. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and cooking.

Professional and personable staff. They make sure you know what your out of pocket responsibility is upfront so you don't feel blindsided. The hygienists never rush through the cleanings, the pride they take in their profession is clearly shown. The doctors are top notch, especially Dr Robert Katz. He's going to make sure that you have the smile you want. He is patient, listens and responds to your concerns.

Summary: An exceptional dental care team 12-23-2020 Update: I had a pain free cavity filling session this afternoon by Dr. Katz. The service I received was fantastic. I highly recommend Farmington Avenue Dental Care. They are the best. --- They emphasize the use of PPE and shields to keep their clients and themselves safe. I felt very comfortable during my visit today. I received the same excellent dental care and friendly customer service as always. I highly recommend them.

I enjoy being a patient at Farmington Ave Dental care because they are attentive to your needs, they stick to the time you scheduled, their pricing is affordable (with or without insurance), the wait time is short, the environment is comfortable and cozy and the employees are very professional! They are serious about protecting the health of others and they are patient with you as well!

I am very pleased with my recent treatment I received from Dr. Reza. He is very professional and knowledgeable and has friendly bed side manner. I was seen to have my wisdom teeth removed. I was scheduled two separate appointments for each side of my mouth. When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Reza he ensured me that he had performed thousands of oral extractions and was sincere in providing me with quality care. Amanda, the assistant was also very friendly. She went over the care instructions several times to ensure I understood how to care for my wounds at home. The receptionist is also very dilligent and organized. She sends out frequent reminder text messages and calls for follow-up appointments. I will say the staff is really what makes this office worth while. The aesthetics of the office could use a little love.

As a child I was horrible keeping up dental care. I paid for it when I ended up needing a root canal years later. Dr. Katz was patient explaining everything and took the stigma and fright of that procedure away. That was 26 years ago. Since then I have needed other procedures and have had wonderful outcomes. If you need a dentist, I would highly recommend this practice. Now that his son is in the practice, there are 2 great doctors and wonderful hygienists. All the staff is friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong here!
