Foad Farhoumand, DDS founded Farhoumand Dentistry. He is joined in practice by his sister, Farah Farhoumand, DDS. With their father being a dentist and several other family members being dentists, it was a given that this brother-sister duo would one day live their dreams by following in their familys footsteps.
Drs. Foad and Farah Farhoumand, as well as the rest of their expert dental team, use the most advanced dental tools and equipment at their state-of-the-art facility. By regularly taking continuing education courses, they strive to provide modern dental treatments in a comfortable, compassionate environment.
While patients can certainly visit Farhoumand Dentistry for routine dental care and checkups, the team also offers complex treatments. Patients can have oral surgery, dental implant procedures, and root canals at the clinic. With their advanced dental systems, patients can even get dental crowns in one day with the CEREC system.
Because the team wants patients to look and feel confident with their smile, they provide the latest in cosmetic dentistry care. Between dental veneers, professional teeth whitening, and Invisalign teeth straightening aligners plus everything in between patients of all ages can achieve the smile of their dreams.
John has been a registered dental hygienist with us since October 2005. Before joining our team, he graduated from Howard University. Being a dental hygienist allows him to partner with patients in helping them achieve optimal oral health; he knows many patients are nervous about going to the dentist and does his best to make clients as comfortable as possible. Because John has an outgoing personality, he is able to talk to people from all walks of life. Being able to relate to many different personalities really helps in his field, as he is capable of identifying with anyone! When hes not helping at the office, he enjoys working out, cooking, and traveling.
Myanh is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 2004. She was born in Vietnam and moved to the United States in 1994. Myanh has been practicing dental hygiene since college graduation, and has been with Farhoumand Dental since 2009. She enjoys reading, drawing, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two little children.
Myanh believes in patient education and takes her time to make sure her patients understand their dental needs. She has a wonderful presence about her and patients are happy to come for their routine check ups. Her patients always comment on her gentleness and sweetness that is innate in her.
With her expertise in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, in addition to complex dental surgeries, Farah Farhoumand, DDS helps countless patients achieve the smiles of their dreams. She welcomes new patients and their families to Farhoumand Dentistry in Vienna, Virginia.
After completing her undergraduate degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, Dr. Farhoumand, or Dr. Farah as her patients call her, went on to dental school. She earned her doctor of dental surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Farhoumand also trained at the Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University to focus on innovative cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Farhoumand grew up with her brother, Dr. Foad Farhoumand, in Ethiopia. They both followed in their fathers footsteps and became dentists. Shortly after she completed dental school, she joined her brother in private practice.
By taking continuing education courses, Dr. Farhoumand ensures she always offers the most sophisticated and advanced treatments available. She is certified in laser dentistry, cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, and CEREC one-day crowns.
Throughout her career, Dr. Farhoumand has spent extensive time traveling overseas volunteering in third-world countries. She has worked alongside other dentists to provide free dental care with nonprofit organizations such as the Jamaica Project and Health for Humanity.
Because Dr. Farhoumand is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Farsi, she can communicate with patients of diverse backgrounds. She believes that all patients should have access to dental care in a warm, compassionate environment.

I'm very lucky to find Farhoumand Dentistry. Everyone at Farhoumand Dentistry was great at their respective jobs. Myanh was the most knowledge hygienist I have ever met. She was thorough, explained everything she was doing, and made specific recommendations based on what she observed. Dr. Foad Farhoumand was clearly knowledgeable, very attentive, and completed my exam in detail and without rushing through. I'm grateful to them for the excellent experience.

I have been going to Farhoumand Dentistry for last 10 years, and I always have wonderful experience. The stuff is efficient and professional, the place is clean and organized, and the best of all I like my dentist Dr Farah. She is professional and remarkably thoughtful about her patients. I recently decided to have dental makeovers. When I consulted her about it, she gave me clear explanation, including pros and cons. I found her remarkably detail oriented. When we were discussing the color of my new teeth, she even took it into consideration how the color would look on me 10 years from now. It is a big investment, and you want to do it with the right dentist. I am glad I did it with Dr Farah.

Never having to worry about the care and advice for dental care can only be summed up as peace of mind. Everyone in the office is highly professional and polite. You will love this dentist. She is so gentle and concerned about her patients comfort. She is innovative and brilliant. I was unable to chew on one side for 30 years. No other dentist seemed to care much about it. Dr.Farah came up with an innovative idea, worked with another doctor to help implement it and after all this time I can chew on both sides.

The male dentist was probably the nicest doctor I've ever met. Extremely kind and informative. I haven't met the female dentist yet, but I'm sure she's just as nice. The office was extremely clean and the staff was great. I would recommend a million times!!!

Over the past three decades, Farhoumand Dentistry has been my dental caretaker, even though I moved around and away from Tysons Corner. Why? That's because I like their friendly, non-hectoring, yet carefully attentive care, both routine and special care. I recommend them enthusiastically.
