Dr. Farhan Qureshi is a very caring and ethical person with a strong clinical background in Esthetic and Implant dentistry. He received his dental degree in 1995, from which he went on to complete a residency in Advanced Education in General and Cosmetic Dentistry from Boston University. In 1999, Dr. Farhan Qureshi completed 2 years of postdoctoral training in dental Implantology at Boston University.

I finally found a dentist who really cares for my health first! Dr. Qureshi did painless and quality crown work on my molar tooth. Excellent bedside manners! The whole staff was very helpful, and made me feel friendly and calm! I truly trust Dr. Qureshi and now he became my family dentist!

I had a problem with some dental bonding that I was pretty unhappy about. But Dr. Qureshi solved the problem quickly and really did a nice job. It was more of a cosmetic issue and a bit of a problem (possibly) caused by a different dentist. But no worries because Dr. Qureshi fixed the problem. Diane my hygienist is great too and have been going to her for many years.

BEWARE. He took over my former dentist's office. I only met him once, for a basic check-up, and I've since switched dentists; I felt he was trying to take advantage of me when he tried to convince me to get work nobody had before or since recommended. Eighteen (18) months after that single appointment (yes, 1.5 years later) I received a call from a creditor about payment for a bill that was never sent to me, which also now has accrued interest. I still have no idea what the bill is for (no itemized items), nor why insurance was unable to cover it.

Beware! A new dentist recently took over a great old practice. After going there for many years with the old dentist, the new dentist tried to convince me I needed expensive surgery. I have since switched dentists, who does not think I need any procedures. Additionally, without telling me, the Dental office significantly raised prices above what my insurance plans pay. Later they claimed my insurance company had sent me a check for the procedure, and I needed to pay them. I explained my insurance documents clearly show they got paid directly and I did not owe them for the procedure. Instead of apologizing for their error, they turned me over to a collections agency. This seems to be their standard practice based on other reviews.

I have been Dr Qureshi's patient for the last 10 years. My front teeth cracked over the weekend and needed an immediate root canal. I emailed Dr Q's office and Dr Aviakian's understood my situation and scheduled me the first thing Monday morning. I am super impressed with Dr Aviakian's expertise and patient care. Dr Qureshi and Dr Aviakian make a great dental care team !

I drive all the way from Washington, DC to get my teeth check up done by Dr Qureshi, but his second location in Old Town is even more convenient with the metro access. I am a patient for the last 3 years. I had a bad experience with a dentist in Washington DC and my colleague in World Bank referred me to Dr Qureshi. Now it is even more easier to get to my appointments on time with the convenient location in Old Town Alexandria, I would highly recommend Dr Qureshi and his excellent staff for all your dental care needs.

I had a very good experience. My appointment was at 8 a.m. and everything was ready when i reached there at 7:50 a.m. The oral hygienist (Diane) had 50 years of experience, and she gave me good advice on cleaning my teeth. Dr. Gary is a thorough professional and one of the most down to earth dentist I have ever met. Already recommended their service to my colleagues. I highly recommend this place.

I used Dr. Avakian for 6 years after a recommendation from a friend. He and his staff are very nice and pleasant to work with for routine visits. Diane does a great job with cleanings. I recently began going to a new practice and it made me realize that what I was getting at Dr. Avakians office was a bit behind the times in terms of technology and perhaps approach. The new office I'm going to caught a few things that I feel should have been noted in my visits with Dr. Avakian. I recommend them for regular check ups if you're mouth is pretty healthy, but if you need more than the basics you may want to shop around.

I've been going to Dr. Avakian for about 25 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. He is extremely accommodating, professional, and friendly. He came to my rescue recently by fitting me into a packed schedule to extract a bothersome tooth (it was a last resort and needed to be removed). As it was on the morning before a huge snowstorm was due, I was very appreciative! I especially appreciate the clear manner with which he explains procedures. The hygienists are also very lovely and sweet. Highly recommended.
