For Dr. Marable, becoming a dentist was all about family. His father and aunts/uncles went to college at a time when many African Americans could not financially or physically afford to commit to an education beyond high school. In fact, many of them became educators, as that was the most affluent career afforded to African Americans in the rural south. His uncle, Lawrence Marable, was the first dentist in the family. This different career path was not due to an epiphany or academic enlightening, but rather through a simple question from one of his classmates, named Dr. Keith McCrae.

Dr. McCrae hailed from a family of physicians and dentists and was no stranger to the aspirations of a doctoral education and career, much unlike Dr. Marables uncle. His comment was no slight to Agriculture Education, but it did make his uncle stop and ask himself: Why cant I? The rest is history. From that simple classroom conversation, Uncle Lawrence set a new course for the family, prescribing a new task for his lineage and a new purpose for the gifts theyd been blessed with. Over the next 35 years, he would be the first of 10 dentists in two generations. Who could have written such a script that Dr. Marables grandfather, Ulysses Marable Sr (a man with a 7th grade education), would raise a family of 10 dentists in a farming community in rural South Georgia? Today, Dr. Marable continues to be extremely proud and grateful for his path in life, as well as the family members who came before him.

Dr. Marables college career started at Fort Valley State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture as an Animal Science Major. Upon graduation, he attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, completing his DMD. Upon leaving the school, he also underwent a General Practice Residency at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York. While there, he was able to practice dentistry in a hospital setting and learn much more about the first-hand dental/medical applications of healthcare.

Today, Dr. Marable continues to pursue advanced education and further expand his clinical skillset. He has received extensive training in dental implant planning and placement through Zimmer Biomet and the Trinnon Collegium Practicum. He is a current member of the American Dental Association and Georgia Dental Association.

Dr. Marable has a wonderful and loving family that consists of his wife and three kids. As a group, they enjoy worshiping God and praising Jesus together, fishing, playing sports, watching movies, and (above all else) eating! As for his own personal hobbies, he regularly works in his church, particularly the Mens Ministry and the Mens and Mass Choir. He is also an active member with his fraternity (Phi Beta Sigma), serving as treasurer as the coordinator for their Sigma Beta Club. He likes to work in the yard, tinker with his old truck/cars, and work on his marksmanship. Hes definitely passionate about cooking, grilling, smoking, frying tooyou name it and he can do it!

At his core, Dr. Marable is definitely a Good Ole Country Boy. One thing that many of his patients are interested to learn about him is that he grew up working on a farm, helping with crops like peanuts, soybeans, tobacco, corn, watermelons, and every vegetable you can name. They also raised lots of big hogs.

10/10 don't recommend for young children WASTED mine & my daughters time! Had her appointment scheduled for months to get a cavity filled , went to said appointment for them to do NOTHING! Took my 3 yr old in the back without me, she wouldn't let them stick the needle in her mouth, because she was alone & scared! While they was talking my 3 yr old was walking around the back!! Asked if they could try with me( her MOTHER) back there & wouldn't. Then followed me out being rude saying I should her took her to the one I was telling my mother (as I was on the phone) instead of them!

Today was my first time EVER getting a tooth pulled.. my first bad toothache and for 150 (in his voice) "i'm gonna take care of you and we're gonna slide that thing out." he did just that. Very professional and friendly staff. 10 stars if i could.

Called to reschedule an appointment. A colleague of mine experienced a death in the family this morning and I was called in earlier to relieve the person. I called to hopefully reschedule and was told I have to pay a cancellation fee of $50 in order to reschedule. $50 for what ? Where is the $50 going ? & Why was I not told about this before ? In this economy that's a lot. In this economy that's absurd!

Dr Marable is a phenomenal dentist! Very caring and professional. The office is just slow. I literally took a lunch to get a cleaning. I travel from afar and the wait time here is getting out of hand. I had to wait outside for an hour. I will be looking for a new dentist soon.

I only had $150 to my name and a molar that was crushed to the gum line. Dr Marable is an angel helping the needy. Walk-ins show up early with $150 CASH. I had to wait a while because I was a walk in and had to run for cash... but the staff was caring, friendly and non judgmental. This is the best place for uninsured dental services.

Very unprofessional! First visit when it was finally my turn to see the Dentist, one of the girls just pointed to me and motioned with her finger for me to come in instead of calling my name. I was in disbelief! After receiving a letter of approval from my insurance company for treatment I called to schedule an appointment and was told the dentist was negotiating fees with the insurance company. It's been 4 months since I was approved and NO ONE has even contacted me to provide the treatment my insurance has already approved!

I had plaque build up. They did a deep cleaning for me for a reasonable price compared to others in the area. They were so sweet and blessed me that day. I'm forever grateful.

First off, I've had more dental work than any 5 people put together, and that's not an exaggeration. I've had trouble all my life with Novocain not working on me very well. The dentist would give me 3 or 4 shots, leave me to wait for 5 to 10 minutes, test and see that I could still feel pain, more shots, and so on. I went to see Dr. Marable the other day with an emergency, I needed a tooth pulled. I explained my problem with Novocain, he said, "We'll take care of you". He gave me 4 shots, and in less than two minutes, I felt nothing. A minute later, the bad tooth was pulled, and I felt absolutely no pain. That was the fastest, easiest, and most painless dentist visit I've ever had. I was amazed! Dr. Marable is hands down the best dentist I've ever seen, and after a lifetime of seeing dentists, that's saying something. His staff was great too, they were able to get me in as an emergency, when they were extremely busy. Next thing I need done is a full set of implants, and I fully trust Dr. Marable to do a great job.

I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Marble and his staff for seeing me today. I had an emergency wisdom tooth extraction done. I called and his receptionist told me to come in today instead of pushing me off until after Jan 1st. She was very accommodating. Dr Marble made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He assured me that he will take care of me and he did! He explained my X-rays to me thoroughly and I left his office pain free. I'm still pain free as I write this review and I'm very grateful. Dr Marble prices are affordable and he works with the uninsured without judgement. Not to mention he was teaching a student during my extraction. He was very hands on and made sure the student was understanding the process. I loved to see that and I respect him for willingness to teach. I can tell dentistry is a true passion for Dr. Marble. May God continue to Bless you Dr. Marble, your practice, family, and staff! Thank you for helping me today. And you have gained a new patient. 10 out of 10. Happy New Year

I had a great experience myself but ever since they saw me I've been getting ignored. I've tried getting my 5 kids in to be seen and sent in all the documentation like they asked but no response. They won't call me back or answer my text. I even tried them on Facebook and got left on read. The dentist himself was great but whoever he has at the front desk ain't doing their jobs.

Doc was great at pulling my teeth, but his nurses can be rude, one of told me to stop looking in the other room, I'm like who is you? And the other nurse told me to stand outside until she brought me my change and receipt, WOW! Other than that, it was would have been a perfect visit.

The staff is rude. Dr.Marable is a great dentist. However, the ladies working up front have a really bad attitude with patients.

Dr.Marable was wonderful on pulling 2 of my husband's teeth and they were awesome on getting him in with an emergency appointment Staff was kind when we came there but afterwards.. I called days later about my husband still being in pain the whole weekend but I didnt have $150 to pay them for another visit. and I was told from a sweet lady that she would talk to the doctor about seeing my husband and see what they could do for him and call me back. I never got a call back so later that afternoon I politely called and asked if they had heard anything back from the doctor and a horribly rude woman by the name of ALICIA said there's no reason we need to speak to the doctor, your husband's not getting anymore pills! I said wow that was really unnecessary and rude and she said excuse me?? I had to hang up before I lost my mind. It's not even just what she said, as if just because my husband is in pain so he is now a suspected pill addict. It was the hateful tone she said it in. I cant even understand why you would have someone with no care or concern for your patients and a horrible ugly demeanor working at your front desk dealing with customers. Dr. Marable you should put that woman in the very back of the facility where she couldn't have contact with patients. Not only have my husband and I had a horrible experience just because of her attitude but there is plenty other reviews explaining situations where she was rude to them as well. She clearly hates her job, and without her your office would be five stars and spectacular. She's gotta go!!!!

Spoke with someone on Monday and made an appointment for the following day and when I arrived I was not even on the schedule. No one in the building admitted to speaking with me on the phone. The dentist wasn't even there. Extremely unprofessional and I DO NOT recommend.
