Keeping up-to-date with current research, technology, and methodologies ensures Dr. Lastres provides her patients with the best care. In addition to her post-graduate training in hospitals and clinical settings, Dr. Lastres takes many hands-on courses and attends lectures, seminars, and conferences.
A Miami native, Dr. Lastres and her husband Dr. Alvarez, whos also a dentist, now call Naples their home. They share their life with their almost two years old daughter Jade, andfur baby, Sabrina, a French bulldog. When shes not in the office or studying the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Lastres enjoys teaching at the University ofFlorida, Naples Pediatric Dental Residency Programas a part time adjunct professor. In addition, she and her husband enjoy spendingtime at the beach, exploring new cuisines, and being with theirfamily and friends.

My daughter had a tongue and lip tie release from Dr. Lastras when she was 2 months , as a nervous momma , Dr. Lastras and her staff made us feel extremely comfortable in having the procedures done. She walked us through what she was doing and allowed us to be in the room if we chose! This made both my husband and I feel so much better about the procedure being done on our little baby. Since the procedure, the healing was great and overall a huge improvement! I would definitely recommend Fantasea Pediatric Dentistry time and time again :)

The staff and dentist are just incredible. I highly recommend. They are knowledgeable, kind and patient. We went to other dentists before this and the experience was truly night and day. Finding Fantasea pediatric dentistry has been a blessing to our family.

Absolutely amazing experience from every single staff member. My 3 year old had his frost cleaning and the hygienist was PHENOMENAL with him! He has been asking to back almost daily. We loved the dentist! She was so kind, informative, and respectful of our choices to decline fluoride. Hands down fabulous experience every time we go!

Amazing customer service. Flexible in many aspects. The Doctor is such a nice person, taking time to explain all lros and cons of what they will do to your baby and even taking extra time to follow up. I qas amazed to recieve follow up calls from the doctor directly and not an asistant. Defenetly eould recomend them to whoever needs a dentist for kids!

Took our 13 month old to see Dr. Lastres so he may get acquainted with a pediatric dentist; he loved the fish tanks in the waiting room, and also loved Barbara she made him laugh and giggle the entire appointment. Overall he had a great 1st visit, and Dr. Lastres gave me some good information to take home! We loved her and her staff

We were very pleased with our recent visit for our newborn daughters lip tie. The staff and doctor were very kind, friendly and informative, office was beautiful and very clean. Cannot speak highly enough about fantasea!! So happy we were referred to them..

We had a phenomenal experience bringing our newborn son to see Dr. Lastres at Fantasea Pediatric Dentistry. Every single staff member was polite and thorough. Dr. Lastres was able to quickly and accurately correct my son's grade 4 lip tie with a laser. He healed quickly and is able to use his mouth correctly now. Dr. Lastres took the time to explain any future complications the tie could cause with his teeth coming in and speech. She also made sure I was comfortable with the procedure and knew what to expect. Dr. Lastres also took her time with me in our follow up 3 weeks later. The results are incredible and our son is nursing better, taking in less/no air from bottle feeds, and we don't have to worry about future problems! Thank you Dr. Lastres!

I went in to have my 8 week old examined for a potential lip and tongue tie. The office staff was absolutely fantastic about relieving my anxiety regarding the whole thing. We did end up needing the ties fixed so they explained everything in detail to where I had no questions. They were so gentle with him when I handed him over and by the time I came back into the room after the procedure was over, (only 5 minutes!) he wasn't even crying. They have a nursing room where they'll let you calm the baby for as long as you need and show you the exercises and make sure you're confident in the aftercare. It's a bit of a drive for me but I plan to make this our new dentist for my 3 kids. The waiting room is phenomenal for bored kiddos. It's got lots of fish tanks the kids can look at and there's hundreds of things to play Eye Spy with painted on the walls. They'll even give you a search list if you ask. Having Disney movies playing is a bonus too. I'm really impressed that they made something so stressful as easy as possible.

My 3yo had his first dental cleaning 4/20/22. They helped make it easy for him to have a positive experience. They explained everything to him and let him test it out before starting and it really helped him understand the process. Overall I would rate the office a 100/10!

We had a very positive experience here with my 3.5 year old than we did at a prior pediatric dentist in Naples. I even had fun! It was great to see my sons eyes light up and learn. They taught him why we floss our teeth and demonstrated everything they were going to do with him on his hands. They aren't in network with any insurance but they will bill them and you just owe the difference (if there is any). All the staff members acknowledged my son and they were all great with him especially the Dr. Lastres

Very easy sign in process with an iPad! Very clean facility! All the staff was very polite and personable. My daughter who is 3 , really trusted Barbara and Dr. Lastres. I loved her positive energy and how informative she was. So happy we decided we chose to see this Dentist. 5 stars!!

The staff was so caring and patient. Our daughter is 2.5 yoa and they were so understanding with her; especially it being her first visit! The waiting room was clean and welcoming with fish tanks that was a great distraction for our little one! Would highly recommend

My 4 month old grandson was treated for a tongue tie here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The procedure was explained beforehand and my daughter was allowed to nurse him afterwards. I would recommend them, just be prepared to wait in the waiting room for a little while.

We took our son to see Dr. Lastres for a tongue and lip tie revision when he was 5 days old, he was not able to nurse well because of them. She took the time to explain what would be done and how we would need to care for him at home and answer all of our questions. The whole procedure took less than 10 minutes. We still had a hard time nursing at home and when I called the office with my concerns they scheduled me to come back to check on everything. His revisions had healed great and Dr. Lastres offered to help try to get him to latch and I have been able to successfully get him to latch and nurse since that visit. We will definitely be using this office for both of our kids dental needs in the future even though it's an hour away from where we live. The whole office staff is great and our 3 year old loves the way it's decorated. We've even told others about Dr. Lastres and how great our experience was.

After suspecting my 8 week old had a lip or tongue tie, I brought her in for a consultation. Dr. Lastres took her time to show me and explain to me the ties my daughter had and what a normal lip and tongue should look like. We decided to proceed with the procedure which they performed right away. The whole procedure took 5 minutes and my child did not seem bothered at all. The whole staff is friendly and professional. I would recommend them for anyone who questions if their child has a tie.
