Dr. Emily Snapp has practiced dentistry in Charlotte since 2004. Originally from the Richmond, VA area, Dr. Snapp completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Virginia Tech and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Snapp feels it is very important to stay current on new dental theories and treatments, so she spends much of her downtime in continuing education courses throughout the country.
Following a passion for surgery, Dr. Snapp recently completed over 200 hours in continuing education on the subject of dental implants earning a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Snapp is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and South Charlotte Study Club. Dr. Snapp is the proud parent of two children, Julia and Lucas. When she is not sculpting the perfect smile she is putting her creative energy to use in furniture remodeling, stained glass mosaics, and fiber arts. She is an avid Virginia Tech Hokie football fan and enjoys running in many local races.
Dr. Summer Suttles is a native of Gastonia, NC and earned her Bachelor of Science Biology degree and Chemistry minor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following her undergraduate education, she entered dental school at UNC also. She enjoys performing a variety of dental procedures ranging from oral surgery to Invisalign and cosmetic procedures and believes in helping everyone achieve a functional, beautiful smile.
Dr. Suttles treats patients of all ages, including young children with her baby oral health program (bOHP) education. She loves working in a family practice so that she can form relationships with each patient and their family members.
Dr. Suttles enjoys running, working out, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Chris, and her children, Graham and Kennedy, in her free time. She is born and bred a Tarheel and loves living in Charlotte.
Janel joined Park Cedar Dentistry in 2017, and has proven to be a valuable asset to the practice. Janel wears many hats in our office. She can be seen assisting the doctors with clinical care, answering the phone to be of service to our patients, or filing insurance claims. Janel has a vast amount of experience from crown and bridge work to pediatric dentistry.
Laine started at our practice in August of 2017. She is very passionate about helping others and takes pride in the amount of care she provides to each patients oral health needs and goals. She loves getting to work with such a great team and patients here at Park Cedar.
Laine is originally from Ohio but has been living in the Charlotte area since 2013. In her free time she enjoys traveling, rooting for Cleveland sports, and spending time with her husband, Joe, and their puppies, Rory and Sadie.
Taronda is a registered dental hygienist. She received her degree in applied science from York Technical College in 2007. She is certified in nitrous oxide monitoring and CPR. To provide patients with optimal care, Taronda takes continuing education courses each year. She believes in delivering painless dentistry. Taronda feels fortunate to have found a career in dental hygiene.
Andrea has been with this practice longer than anyone. She joined the founder of the practice in 1981 (Dr. Sturm didnt join the practice until 1983!) With over 30 years experience, dental assisting is second nature to Andrea leaving her free to focus her time and attention on getting to know patients and understanding them and their concerns. Her favorite part of her job is working with the public because everyone is unique and that makes every day special.
Andrea is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina but has lived in Rock Hill, South Carolina since 1992. She is married with 2 children, Megan and Josh. In her leisure time she can usually be found near the pool reading, swimming, or vacationing at Charleston, SC.
Beth has been in the practice since 2002. She welcomes challenges and the variety that dental assisting provides. She really likes getting to know and developing relationships with all of her patients.
Beth assists with all procedures, but she particularly likes surgical and implant cases. She is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and is certified by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. These organizations require additional continuing education hours and ensure she stays current on the latest implant and surgical techniques.
