Darla has been a Dental Assistant at Family Smiles since 1981! She has superstar quality clinical skills and treats our patients like royalty! She has trained countless dental professionals over the years and mentors all of us!
Eddie joined Family Smile in 2015 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Patients love Eddie for his gentle touch and awesome laugh! Eddie enjoys learning about his patients and finding personal connections with them. We are so thankful for Eddies grounded, calm, fun personality!
Lezlie grew up in this office as a patient and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist at Family Smiles since 2006. She has outstanding clinical skills and will help you have the healthiest mouth possible!You will also see Lezlie assisting the front office staff with insurance issues.
Jenn has been a Dental Assistant at Family Smiles since 2008. Jenn provides outstanding care with humor, compassion, and experience. Jenn understands complex dentistry and helps coordinate our complex patient care.
Sawyer has been a dental assistant with Family Smiles since 2014 and is now our Receptionist since 2020. She loves to make people laugh and put patients at ease. Sawyer is our resident I.T. expert, and makes each day delightful. Patients never forget her.
Nicole has been a dental assistant at Family since 2020. She was a Radiology Technician prior to joining our team and has been a lifelong patient at our office! We thank God every day for Nicoles get-it-done and caring attitude!
Pueblo native and Pueblo Community College graduate, Marina loves being a dental hygienist and is passionate about helping every patient achieve a happy, healthy smile. Bennie has worked with Dr. Jim from the beginning! They have been happily married over 55 years! Bennie is the behind-the-scenes glue that makes everything happen! We love you, Bennie! Bennie is our bookkeeper and can fill in at every job here, since shes done them all!
Dr. Swanson completed the rigorous Pankey curriculum early on in his career, and this shaped his style of practice more than anything else. He is an expert at treating TMJ and occlusion-related issues, and provides the most thorough patient care restoratively. Dr. Swansons passions include beautiful cosmetic dentistry and functional occlusion. Dr. Jim loves to continue learning and has mentored hundreds of his dental colleagues during his career, including his daughter, Dr. Jamie Johnson. He retired from private practice in 2019, and is continuing his legacy of education by teaching part-time at the Pueblo Community College Dental Hygiene program.

Came in for a 2nd opinion on my newborn's severe lip tie. First dentist we went to in Pueblo refused to do anything after only talking to us for 5mins and making us wait for over an hr. My midwife recommended family smiles and it was exactly what we needed. Dr Jaime Johnson was Great! She knew exactly what we were going through and was soo helpful and caring. She walked me through the procedure, explaining all details and was able to resolve my daughter's lip tie same day. It has truly changed our lives for the better and my daughter is finally putting on weight. Thank you Dr Jaime and the wonderful team at Family Smiles!

I'm not sure why anyone would leave less than a perfect, 5-star rating of Family Smiles. Dr. Jamie and everyone on staff were welcoming and wonderful! I'm a nervous and anxious patient and I was always fearful of going to the dentist. Not so at Family Smiles! I was greeted warmly by name and when it came time to get my fillings done I was given a soft blanket and Nitrous to ease my anxiety. Dr. Jamie, by far and away, gives the most painless injections I've ever had. She is so kind and warm and always makes sure that I'm calm and comfortable. I was never in any pain during the procedure and felt relaxed the whole time. I always recommend Family Smiles to everyone I know because they really are the best. Booking goes pretty far out, so I recommend getting a spot in as soon as possible. It's well worth the wait!

This pratice is so special. From the moment I started coming to them, I have felt like Im part of a family. They treat me with tenderness, respect and kindness. I've been going to this dentist for about 7 years. I went to another dentist a couple blocks away and they told me I had multiple cavities I needed to have filled. I had never had a cavity in my life so I sought a second opinion. Family Smiles did x-rays and a thorough exam and told me I had no cavities! 7 years later and still no cavities! Family Smiles is honest and reasonable and not interested in just making money. They always treat me like a member of their family.
