By reviewing your medical history to note your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health, we are able to get ahead of most oral health problems. We thoroughly examine the overall health of your teeth and gums, perform oral cancer exams, and take x-rays when necessary. We provide regular cleanings including flossing, sealants, and fluoride.
We protect our patients and ourselves, by maintaining strict sterilization and cross contamination processes based on standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

They have been residents of the Chicagoland area for over 18 years, and have lived in Glenview since 1997. Both doctors have extensive training in all facets of dentistry. Dr. Attari has her main focus on pediatric dentistry, while Dr. Nematollahi has had advanced training in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Their pursuit of excellence drives them to attend and participate in some of the most advanced seminars available to clinicians.
Dr. Ali Nematollahi graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL in 1991. He is certified in dental implant surgery and also holds a US patent in the field of dental implantology.
Dr. Katayoun Attari graduated from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1993. She has received numerous achievement awards. Both doctors are members of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society and Chicago Dental Society.
Trained by some of the worlds most prominent cosmetic dentists, Dr. William J. Cohen has created beautiful smiles for media personalities and models, and has helped repair facial defects in both adults and children. A practicing dentist in the Chicago area for over 25 years, Dr. William Cohen recently founded a new, cutting-edge dental practice in Glenview, Ill. Located in the innovative model community of the Glen, the practice offers general dentistry services as well as the cosmetic dentistry services for which Dr. Cohen is renowned.
A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, Dr. Cohen also served in the United States Army for two years after receiving his doctorate of dental surgery. When the returned to the states, he taught at the University of Illinois Dental School and practiced dentistry in the Chicago area.
Dr. Cohen continued to advance his studies and in 1986 became one of the early members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. The Academy developed a rigorous accreditation program to distinguish those dentist who were dedicated and capable of performing cosmetic dentistry to a high standard. In 1990, Dr. Cohen completed the accreditation program and became the 138th dentist in the world to achieve this honor.
He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and the Crown Council. He also has served as president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Chicago Chapter since 1995. In 2002, Dr. Cohen was the recipient of the American Academy of the Cosmetic Dentistrys Outstanding Contribution to Cosmetic Dentistry award and he has been included several times in Whos Who in Dentistry.

You may find this hard to believe, but this was the most relaxing part of my day, even after my yoga class! Having Dr. Ali, an actual dentist, expertly perform my cleaning so throughly was like have a tooth massage! This place is the kinder, more gentle evolution of dentistry!

Really, really great experience. Front Office staff was so kind and made getting in so easy. The doctor was great too, he was respectful and made me feel at ease. I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes for two fillings! Everyone there was great, the chairs even have massagers on them. They have my highest recommendation.

Dr. Attari and Dr. Ali are wonderful! My husband (and his entire family) has been seeing them since he was in middle school (30 plus years ago!) and now our two kids and me are patients. The kids have been patients since they were 1 year old and LOVE seeing Dr. Attari. She is fantastic with them. The entire staff is so friendly and always asks how our extended family is going. We love coming to Family Smiles...where we really feel like they are a part of our family

My family and I have been going to Dr. Ali for longer than I can remember. Always a top-notch experience. I remember growing up I would always dread going to the dentist. Not so with Dr. Ali and his team. Could not recommend him more highly.

Such a wonderful dental office and employees. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. I have total trust in my dentist. Dr Nematollahi has been my dentist for over 15 years, my family sees both him and Dr. Attari. We couldn't be happier. They are wonderful, and I have total trust in them and their management of my dental care!

Family Smiles at the Glen is one of the nicest, family oriented, welcoming office I have ever been to. From front staff to the Dr, everyone is there to hear your concerns, even outside of the dental world. This place truly makes you feel like family! I have been going to Dr. Attari for years now. She is very professional and kind. She does a great job of explaining what needs to be done in very simple terms anyone can understand. I found the location to be well managed, organized and clean. Also kid friendly, my 3 year old son loves Dr. Attari.

I have severe anxiety and struggle with my mental health. I have a fear of going to the dentist and I always get so anxious before I have a visit. Dr. Ali completely alleviated all my anxieties when I walked in the door. It is absolutely a safe space without any judgement. Great atmosphere and very nice staff. I highly recommend Family Smiles for everyone, but especially if you are someone who has been putting off seeing a dentist for a while and may have some anxieties about going. I could not recommend them enough. I already made my next appointment, anxiety free.

I bet "Family" and "Smiles" are probably almost-cliche buzzwords in the dental world but it really does nail the description of this practice. Great for adults AND kids, you usually score on one or the other but total package here. Clean and professional.

Wish there were 10 stars! From my first interaction by phone to my visit with Dr. Ali, the experience was stellar. Cristina was the best front person to meet upon arrival. I did not get the name of the second person I met but she deserves an excellent review. Dr. Ali was kind, attentive and thorough. After the exam, he explained everything to me. At the end of my visit, I felt like I needed to hug everyone. Never before have I ever visited a dentist's office and received such kind, attentive care. Dr. Ali Nematolahi is a true professional and an artist in the same time. I have seen a few dentists before I met him and I can say from the bottom of my heart that he topped all of them... BIG TIME. My experience at his office was painless and the final work exceeded my expectations. On top of everything, he is also a kind person that truly has at heart what is the best for his patients.
