Trisha is a lifelong resident of Connecticut. She has worked for our dental practice since 2001. Over the years, she has participated in Connecticut's Dental Mission of Mercy, a dental volunteer program treating those less fortunate.
Trish attended the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She received her bachelor's degree from Northeastern and began working as a dental hygienist for the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
She returned to Connecticut and worked for Dr. A. Howard McLaughlin, beginning in 1985 until the practice was assumed by Dr. Marshall, and then joined by Dr. LaRosa. Trish has worked continuously as a hygienist since 1981.
Mary graduated from Post Jr College as a medical secretary and received her Associate in Science degree from Teikyo Post University. She accepted a position with a Waterbury surgeon and as the practice flourished and staff expanded, she was instrumental in establishing the first industrial clinic in Waterbury. Mary worked as an office manager for 32 years until the doctor's retired in 1998.
Andrea graduated from Suesc University in Brazil with a degree in Business Administration. Here in this country, she was a Manager at Dunkin Donuts for over ten years before joining our practice as Dr. Marshall's dental assistant, caring for patients' chairside. She has been with the practice since 2008 and is fluent in Portuguese and also helps our office communicate with a variety of patients.
Janette has enjoyed a career in Dentistry most of her life. She previously earned her certification as a Dental Assistant and went on to further training in dental lab work. She then became an Office Manager in a specialist office in New York City before moving to Connecticut. Once in Ct, she attended and graduated from Tunxis Community College in 1993, which is affiliated with UConn Health Center, where she did most of her clinical work. In 1994, she began working with Dr. LaRosa.
Since merging practices in 2002, she has contributed towards creating a practice that offers our patients preventive, professional, and comprehensive care. Janette feels extremely fortunate to be able to look forward to going to work and also to continue to pursue her studies in health and nutrition.

Family & Preventive Dentistry always offers the best dental care for my family. We are very fortunate to have Family & Preventive Dentistry in our area. The Dentists, the Professional Assistants and the Staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. I enthusiastically recommend them.

I've been working in the dental field for 12 years and although that makes me extremely knowledgeable I've always been super hesitant to try new offices without having somebody who has referred me. I looked this office up online a simple google search and found that there were really nice reviews. So I decided to take a chance. I can say that I am so happy I did! I was having a lot of tooth pain and needed my wisdom tooth extracted not only was the shot painless But the overall procedure took less than 10 minutes and I didn't feel 1 ounce of pain. Dr. Marshall is funny and witty and very down to earth as is his assistant. I would highly recommend this office.

I have been a regular patient with Dr. Larosa and Janette Miret for 20 years. The first time I met them was because of damage to dental work that was 15 years old. And they did a great job. Well, twenty years later, my husband and kids are now regular patients. And, suddenly, two days before Christmas the now 35 year old remaining dental work finally cracked- and Dr. Larosa and Trish saw me immediately and fixed me up temporarily (with temporaries that looked just as good). Which was a lifesaver because I had multiple executive team zoom meetings in the interim weeks until the permanent replacements were ready! And now, the entire is process is complete, my smile looks better then ever! I don't know if people really know or appreciate great care, but I highly recommend Dr. Larosa and his team - and that's a 20 years of experience recommendation!

Excellent Dentistry from highly skilled Doctor ( Dr LaRosa ) and his hygiene staff. His office is following and exceeding requirements for patient and staff safety during these challenging times. Staff and Dr's have the best interpersonal skills as well. R & D

I was screened the moment I entered the office. Everything was well-organized and ready to go. Doctor was dressed in full COVID protective wear including a face shield. Doctor's assistant was courteous and explained the set up for my procedure. I felt comfortable and safe for my visit. I will be returning for another visit in the next few weeks.
