Family Health Services, a Community Health Center, makes high quality, culturally sensitive, primary medical and dental care, behavioral health and social services affordable and accessible for all the people of South Central Idaho.

A federally qualified health center (FQHC) is a type of provider defined by the Medicare and Medicaid statutes. FQHCs include all organizations receiving grants under Section 330 of the Public Health Service Act, certain tribal organizations, and FQHC Look-Alikes. FQHCs must provide primary care services for all age groups. FQHCs must provide preventive health services on site or by arrangement with another provider. Other requirements that must be provided directly by an FQHC or by arrangement with another provider include: dental services, mental health and substance abuse services, transportation services necessary for adequate patient care, hospital and specialty care.

A sliding fee scale with discounts services based on patient family size and annual income in accordance with federal poverty guidelines. FQHCs must be open to all, regardless of their ability to pay.

The VFC program is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay. VFC was created by the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 as a new entitlement program to be a required part of each states Medicaid plan. The program was officially implemented in October 1994.

Funding for the VFC program is approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and allocated through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC buys vaccines at a discount and distributes them to grantees i.e., state health departments and certain local and territorial public health agencies which in turn distribute them at no charge to those private physicians offices and public health clinics registered as VFC providers.

Super friendly staff. I'm deathly afraid of the dentist. They were super patient, and were willing to answer all my questions. Had a tooth bothering me for years. These guys helped and extracted it. I have had no pain since. Granted, I still have some more work that needs done. Thank you guys again for being extra amazing.

Dr Humphreys DDS is the best dentist I have been to in my whole life! He was amazing and gentle. He preformed an extraction on me and I am amazed what a perfect job he did! I highly recommend him. I have been to many other dentists for extraction and ALWAYS suffered pain in the following days, but he did a clean and amazing job!

The medical providers working here are as smart as a high school sophomore. Long wait times in person or on phone. If you're sick and feel like ick and shouldn't be driving they insist you come alone, then make you sit in the car 20 mins before being seen. Once seen, they run some tests outside, then make you wait some more like any visit to the doctor, just to finally come out and tell you, "I have no idea what you have, maybe a cold, maybe a type of a bacterial infection or a type of a virus, really I don't know. Very grateful they're here, nice bedside manner HALF the time. Not helpful, educated, resourceful, organized, or sensitive to the patients needs.

It depends on who sees you at this location. The one I saw was excellent every time, never rushed the visit or anything...very thorough. My son was misdiagnosed 5 years ago by Adam Richins(told us he had thrush). A couple days later was spending 5 days in the hospital....blood sugar level 1175. Now, the same person refused my son's insulin prescription and he is type 1 diabetic. We set up an appointment at the Twin Falls office for tomorrow. That same person refused(when a St. Luke's doctor asked) to even allow 1 day's worth of insulin for my son. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. If you visit Kimberly family health, go to Basil Anderson! He is amazing and very caring!
