Dr. Anderson was born in Arlington and grew up in Mansfield, and hes glad to be back in the area to serve the local community. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Dr. Anderson completed dental school at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, after which he was accepted into the prestigious Texas A&M Baylor Orthodontics residency. During those 3 additional years of training, he specialized in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and received his masters degree in Oral Biology. As a resident member of the Texas Orthodontic Study Club, he was awarded the Fred F. Schudy Award for the best-treated case by a resident. Shortly after graduation, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor achieved by 33% of orthodontists. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and strives to continue learning so that he can provide the best treatment possible to all of his patients.
Outside the office, youll most likely find Dr. Anderson spending time with his family. He and his wife Danielle have been blessed with 6 beautiful children, and he loves being a dad, whether its coaching their teams, riding bikes, or playing board games. He and his family are very involved in their church, where he serves as a youth leader. He loves being involved in the community and looks forward to treating your family like his own.
For Dr. Claude R. Stephens, it was family that inspired him to spend his life helping others. His father was a medic in the military and his siblings are nurses and teachers. He earned his Bachelors degree from Austin College and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry. While at Baylor, he discovered that his true calling was orthodontics. He went on to complete orthodontic training and earn a Master of Science degree from the Ohio State University.
Dr. Stephens is a board-certified orthodontist and a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Texas Association of Orthodontists. He is a part-time professor for the orthodontic program at the University of Houston and is an Invisalign Premier Provider for Dallas and Ellis Counties.
Dr. Stephens and his wife, Valerie, a pediatric nurse, are happily married and have three children: one of whom is a college professor, another who is following in her father's footsteps serving in the United States Navy, and the third who is in college studying mathematics. All three have straight, great-looking smiles created by their dad.
Dr. Swapp graduated from UNLV Dental School, where he finished summa cum laude and was given the Deans Award for Top Academic Honors. He continued his dental education at Baylor College of Dentistry and earned a masters degree in oral biology and orthodontics. He was awarded the Baylor Orthodontic Oscar for the best treated orthodontic case in his class.
Following his training, Dr. Swapp was asked to join the teaching faculty at Baylor, where he has published multiple orthodontic research articles. He received the Watson Award, which is given to the highest-rated research article of the year in the most prestigious orthodontic journal. Dr. Swapp is also board certified. A distinction that has only been achieved by 33% of orthodontists.
Outside of orthodontics, he enjoys spending time with family, restoring old cars, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. He and his family are active in their church and community and are avid supporters of the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Swapp has served as a Boy Scout leader for several years and is an Eagle Scout himself.Hes looking forward to meeting you soon!

We have used Family First Orthodontics for many years. My husband, daughter and son used them when Dr. Stephens was there. When he left the transition was so smooth. My son recently got his braces off and we are 100% satisfied. We will definitely use them again. Angie is absolutely amazing and always kept me well informed.

We just went to Family First for the first time earlier this week. Every person that we came in contact with from the time I scheduled the appointment until we left the day of our appointment was awesome! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontist!

Family First Ortho did a great job with our son. They answered all his questions and addressed his concerns. From the consultation to the braces being put on we felt very comfortable. The office has a fun atmosphere and is very welcoming. Highly recommend. Looking forward to seeing his new smile!

My experience at Family First Orthodontist is always professional and personal. It starts with the warm welcome and my smile architect Brandi. She gives me the best customer experience. She remember about my family and always ask how we're doing. She's so kind and attentive with the care provided. Always offers the best solutions to my concerns and ensures the doctors knows as well. I will not go to another orthodontist office because of her and the other staff at location .

Definitely one of the most friendly and relaxing atmospheres ... the staff 'are all' so caring and efficient. Whenever I needed to be seen (for little emergencies & concerns) between regular appointments they'd manage to get me in between other patients... even during their break times... ... update.... I'm so happy... today I had my braces removed and I'm beyond pleased, thank you Dr. Anderson and all the team... everything was spectacular and ran smoothly... was even treated with snacks that 'weren't allowed' while wearing the braces...

I would highly recommend Family First Orthodontics based on their timeliness for appointments, professionalism, great customer service, and quality dental services. It has been a great experience from the first time I had my consultation to the end of my appointments for my Invisalign. Angie does a great job explaining the details and also scheduling you for your follow-up appointments.

Took my daughter to the practice in Midlothian for her FREE consultation! The moment we walked in, we were greeted and checked in. We were called back in about 2 minutes. Lane was our tech to explain process and take X-Rays. She was the sweetest! Then Dr. Anderson and treatment coordinator Haley came in. They both explained the process and how to achieve a healthy and corrected smile. The way they were both so light hearted during the conversation, had my daughter already feeling confidence just from the plan! Then the best part... they had an opening in the schedule for her to have braces put on same day! That process took less than an hour and was done in the most relaxing, inviting environment ever! The whole staff was phenomenal. I made friends that day, which is great considering we will be back in regularly for the next 18-24 months! I can not say enough great things about this practice on this review!
