I've been a patient of Dr Bates for many years. My experience is always positive! He is very caring, knowledgeable! Ive never felt pain with him, not even when he administers the numbing shots!! He and his staff are Amazing!!

If I had the choice i would give them no stars. Avoid this place at all costs. The doctor does not listen to your complaints if something hurts he will try to convince you to stop touching it, or don't play with it. Pain is Pain! He is easily bothered by questions or if you ask what he is doing or how it will be done. It has been years since my original review. I have had the worst issues with both of the teeth he worked on. One had to be pulled shorty after the crown was put on badly. It was crooked and debris gathers under a gap on both teeth and now the other will have to be pulled soon as well. It has only cost me thousands for him to be my dentist. Stay away from this office unless you want to sped thousands to fix additional issues. The doctor was so rude and condescending. Stay away!!

I have been a patient since 2014. After moving 30 minutes away I decided to continue my dental exams at this office. The staff is stable and we know each other. There is one dentist, Dr. Bates, who takes care of me ~ he is kind and has been careful when taking care of problems. I've had two hygienists over six years, it's nice to know that there's continuity in my care. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Bates is an exceptionally skilled and caring dentist. I have been getting dental care from him for several years and have been completely satisfied with the whole experience every time. He has done fillings and crowns with perfection and and I have never experienced any discomfort at all during any procedure including the numbing shots. His assistants are well trained and skilled also whether they are cleaning, x-raying, making a temporary crown or any other dental assisting. Today he repaired my broken tooth that cracked at the gum line and was jagged. It all went great and I will get my permanent crown in two weeks. Lastly, I want to say that I am not easily satisfied and have very high expectations when I get any service health or otherwise. Dr.Bates and his staff exceeded all my expectations as usual and I can honestly say that my dental appointment today was a pleasant experience.

I had a crown fall out last week. They took me right away the following day, and I got the crown put back in right away.

Dr. Bates is amazing. He truly cares about his patients, and is really gentle. His work is fantastic. He also doesn't do that annoying thing where he asks you detailed questions while he's working in your mouth. He just checks to make sure you're doing okay, and lets you know what step of the process he's in. I'm so glad I found him. I live in Bluffton now but I've made trips up just to go to him.

Just had a root canal performed and then back to Dr Bates for the permanent filling and crown work. He and his staff are amazing! He always sincere and truly cares about his patients. The staff is always so pleasant and easy to work with on schedules. I highly recommend Dr. Bates!
