Dr. Zurbano's diligence and high attention to detail enable her to create beautiful, healthy smiles. Dr. Zurbano came to the United States at the age of 13 from Cuba. Before moving to Miami, her family lived in New Jersey, where she attended Fairleigh Dickinson University for both her undergraduate and Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degrees. After completing dental school, she settled in Miami and has been serving patients in and around Miami Lakes since. She enjoys treating patients alongside her daughter, Kristina, and husband, Victor. We are truly a family practice!
Dr. Kristina Christoph's passion for dentistry began at an early age due to her parents' shared enthusiasm for the profession. Particularly drawn to the esthetic nature of dentistry, Dr. Christoph pursued the specialty of Orthodontics. As a perfectionist by nature, Dr. Christoph strives to create beautiful, confident smiles for her young and adult patients. She uses the most advanced techniques and materials to make orthodontic treatment as efficient and comfortable as possible.
Dr. Christoph's personal dedication to excellence has been evident throughout her academic and professional career. She attended Nova Southeastern University's Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences for her undergraduatate biology degree, where she received the Student of the Year Award, given to one student per year. She subsequently was accepted for an Internship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland to study neaural tube development. Dr. Christoph then received a Fulbright Scholarship awarded by the U.S. Department of State to teach English and conduct a study of the Spanish Healthcare System.
Dr. Christoph attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated 1st in her class. There she was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She was accepted into one of the top Orthodontic Residency Programs, Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. There she was awarded the 'Baylor Orthodontic Oscar' for the best orthodontic case presentation. She graduated with both a Master 's Degree in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Orthodontics.
She is one of only 30% of orthodontists who is Board Certified. This means that she chose to undergo oral examination of completed cases before the American Board of Orthodontics. After successful completion, she became Board Certified with the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

I finished with my orthodontic treatment and I highly recommend Family Dentistry and Orthodontics. The staff treats you like a family, and they are very accommodating. The office is super clean and hygienic, and the dentist, Dr. Kristina Christoph, has excellent people and orthodontic skills.

Dr. Kristina Christoph and Family Dentistry &Orthodontics are Amazing!! First and foremost the practice is clean and the staff is professional and friendly. Dr. Kristina Christoph is a wonderful caring and gentle dentist. She explains the the positives and negatives of every option so that the I may choose on my own. She also gives her honest opinion. As a patient it is very comforting going through any procedure because the Family Dentistry and Orthodontics staff really care for me and my family. My teeth look great !

Dr. Kristina Christoph is a pleasure to be treated by! I do not particularly like the dentist, but her ortho work, along with the hygienist (I forgot her name :( ) do great, quality work! With good energy, it's made my appointments something to look forward to.

FDO is the best dental clinic I have visited in South Florida. Dr Kristina Christoph and her staff are amazing. They provide high quality services along with excellent customer service! Never stayed in waiting room over a minute. Very professional and compassionate care. Dr Kristina is knowledgeable, patient, caring, extremely organized and sweet! Are you looking for a kinder, gentler, Dental practice? Well look no further, you found it. Dr. Kristina Christoph is the best. She has a very calm soothing chill vibe. Not to mention she's like a genius level dentist. Look her up you're going to be impressed. Her staff is top notch, super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Big Shout outs to Juliet in front (beyond accommodating with our appointments) and both Hygienist Yani and Yelane, gentle, thorough, explained the process as they went and always asked if I was good. Seriously, if you need any kind of dental work, don't hesitate to come here. Thanks again Dr. Christoph and all the ladies as well!

Do NOT look any further. This is it trust me! After a nightmare experience with a previous dentist. It has been such a rewarding experience with Dr. Christoph and their staff. What a breath of fresh air.. Dental cleanings are painless. The entire team is beyond professional and the sweetest! I am so glad I found them to take care of our entire family. We have been going here for almost a year and a half now. Strongly recommend. They make going to the dentist a pleasant experience EVERY time for all ages. They know what they are doing & customer service is impressive.

Family Dentistry & Orthodontist has been serving our family for many years now with the up most professionalism! We loved our experience with Dr. Christine Kristoff! My son was only 8 when we went in for a free orthodontic check up and we found out that our son needed serious work done to help his bite, which made sense because he had been complaining about chewing for years. My son had lots of questions and Dr. Kristoff ALWAYS took the time to explain everything to him! That made him feel more at ease and to my surprise, very cooperative! He never even protested to go to his check ups because she made it so clear to him that it was in his best interest to proceed. After 2 years, his braces are off and we are so happy with the results!!! Now I have 3 children and myself that visit Family Dentistry for all our of dental needs and are very pleased every time! I had severely crooked teeth with a bad cross bite when I became a patient of Dr. Christoph, the experience from the beginning of my treatment to the end was exceptional!!! The staff is amazing I was given a basket of candy when I took my braces off which I found to be adorable! There hours are super flexible and convenient and the staff genuinely cares about you. I strongly recommend every doctor in the office and Dr. Christoph is a perfectionist which believe me you want that for your teeth! If you want straight perfect teeth go to this dentist you will not regret it :)

Best dentist office I've been fortunate enough to go to! Ive been seen by Dr. Nury Zurbano and Dr. Christoph and they have both been nothing short of amazing. I had to get a crown placed and Dr. Zurbano was so patient and detailed; I did not feel rushed at all and she made sure my tooth was perfect (even going out into that daylight to make sure the color matched evenly). I also had a small procedure with Dr. Christoph and she was very kind and detailed, ensuring that I felt comfortable and confident at the end. I could not have asked for better service. The office staff is also very kind and welcoming. I've never had a problem with them and they are always there to help with any questions I may have, whether it be about my appointment time or my insurance. The dentist office is one that many people are scared to go to, and now I find myself going to them even after I've moved 35 minutes away without hesitation. 10/10 would recommend them to any of my family members and friends.

As the name suggests, you're treated like family. =) Dr. Christoph's demeanor is great for a dentist's office, making her patients feel comfortable in a setting most find "scary". Highly recommended for those who don't enjoy visiting the dentist!
