Dr. Robert Guthrie received his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and is a graduate of the Midwest Implant Institute. In practice since 1980, Dr. Guthrie is also a member of the United States Dental Institute for orthodontic training and a participant in the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study for TMJ training. He also provides services for Medina County DD/SHC.
Carol has been with our practice in many capacities since 1993. She completed her dental assisting program at Medina County Career Center and was an assistant here for several years before taking on the challenge of the front office. She has been working with insurance and billing for several years now.
As a certified dental assistant, Joyce has been a member of our team since 2008 and part of our practice as a patient for many years prior to that. She completed the assisting program at Medina County Career Center.
She grew up in the Massillon area where she attended Washington High School. She then went on to obtain an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Stark State Technical College in North Canton.
Amanda and her husband Aaron have a son, Austin, who recently graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art studying game design. Austin excels in art and plays several instruments. They enjoy spending time together by watching sports and cooking.
Crystal has been with our practice since 1986. During that time she has been a hygienist, worked with orthodontic patients and most recently has taken on administrative duties. As we are always striving to improve our patient care, she isworking to keep our team efficient and organized.

They fit Mom and Dad in when my front tooth chipped. I thought thought Dr Guthrie would look at it and schedule an appointment to fix it, but he fixed it right then! I was really happy.

Everything went well, appreciated Dr Guthrie making sure everything was ok by taking an additional X-ray prior to proceeding with filling a cavity. Only concern was it seemed like everyone was coughing quite a bit. I'm not thinking about myself, but I'm helping with health needs of my mom and don't want to pass anything on to her.

Had great experiences here when they had two doctors. I had one tooth removed and had to come back three different times because they messed up the retainers-- "something went wrong" in their words. Within 8 months I have been here SEVEN times. Dental assistants are always very nice but the doc won't give you more than 90 seconds of his time.

I'd love to give 5 stars, but i just didn't have a great after experience. I usually am in love with Family Dentistry on the Square, but since Dr. Keller left things have changed. Dr. Keller would take the time to talk to you, ask about how things have been, show you what he'll be doing, he treated you like family. There's not much talking anymore other than about what's going on while being treated. The new doctor is nice, and does take the time to explain things. On the 2nd of December i had an upper wisdom tooth removed. It was fast, once my tooth was removed I was given oxygen, once i felt myself again i was on my way. I was told by the new doctor i would be in discomfort, no pain, but am in a good amount of pain. I was told by my boyfriend they should've done an x-ray after to make sure everything looked right. Last night at 6p on 12-3-21 i had 3 small, but sharp shards of tooth come out of the hole where my wisdom tooth once was. Unfortunately now i have to wait till Monday to get a hold of someone.

No one relishes going to a dentist. Everyone at Family Dentistry on the Square are pleasant and friendly. Dr. Guthrie is great, what else can one say! My family and I have been going to him for years and we would hate to see him retire.

I went in as a new patient in a fairly desperate situation and very fearful after the last dentist I saw left me with 3 unnecessary and badly infected root canals. Less than a month later and I've had a thorough cleaning, every cavity and emergency situation is taken care of and I can honestly say this is the gentlest and kindest office I've ever been to. From the cleaning to the emergency fixing if my cracked tooth, they were absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend them and am so incredibly grateful for all they've done for me!!

Have been back in an additional 3 times for them to fix my teeth after they worked on them. My boyfriend has been in a total of 5 times 3 being to fix their work again and an infection they caused cuz they didn't do a root canal right away. "Wanted to wait and see" turned out to be a huge infection over the weekend and no one would answer the emergency number. Then we have to call and beg for antibiotics. We are finding another place to go!
