Dr. Wachs has introduced advance technology into the practice with the addition of CAD/CAM Dentistry and In-Office Lab fabrication of all restorations. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, and the 9th District Dental Association.
Dr. Kenneth Wachs specializes in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Bioengineering at the University of California, San Diego. He then came east to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS, with honors) from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Wachs completed his multi-level residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at New York University/Bellevue Hospital Center.
An implant supported bridge is a restorative solution for spaces where three or more adjacent teeth are missing. This restoration typically requires two implants to support the porcelain bridge. The bridge provides a functional and aesthetic replacement for a patients natural teeth.
For patients who are missing many or all of their teeth, implant supported dentures may be an alternative to traditional dentures. This solution requires the placement of two or more implants. In order to replace a full arch denture, a minimum of four implants is generally recommended. Eligibility for this solution is dependent upon a number of factors, with jaw bone density being one of the most significant determining factors.
Traditional dentures rely on an acrylic base that sits directly on the gums, held in place by a paste or adhesive. Using implants as supports for dentures allows for a smaller and more comfortable base and less shifting of the prosthesis during use.
Implants can support both full and partial dentures as well as both fixed and removable dentures.If a removable denture is selected, the denture will snap on to the implant rather than requiring the use of denture paste or adhesives.
This procedure is a unique implant solution that allows patients with a completely edentulous (toothless) upper or lower arch to replace all of the teeth in that arch using only four implants as anchors.
CAD/CAM is an acronym that stands for computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing. CAD/CAM technology is used to help the dental team fabricate precise shapes and sizes for dental restorations including inlays, onlays, crowns and bridges. This technology provides patients with durable, esthetic, well-fitted single and multiple tooth restorations in a more efficient manner. The first step in using CAD/CAM technology is tooth preparation. Next, a digital impression is taken that sends the prepared tooths exact dimensions into a computer. Afterwards, the computer software creates a virtual restoration replacement part for the missing areas of the tooth. The software then sends the virtual restoration data to the milling machine, where the replacement part is carved out of a solid block of ceramic or composite resin. The restoration is adjusted in the patients mouth and cemented or bonded in place.

Dr Wachs and staff are the absolute best. Dr Wachs is knowledgeable and professional but most importantly she is kind and caring. Her staff is just fabulous. You won't get better service anywhere. It's just an awesome place and if you are a little apprehensive about going to the dentist don't worry she'll make you feel comfortable and safe.

Dr. Wachs and her team are fantastic. I had a filling fall out and frantically called her office on a Saturday morning after she was highly recommended to me by prior patients and staff. Without even being a patient, she agreed to see me right away. From the moment I stepped in the door everyone was attentive, helpful, friendly, and informative. Dr. Wachs has a positive, upbeat, and calming personality, but more importantly, she is skilled, competent, honest, and conservative. I've been under the care of many dentists and had a fair amount of dental work, so trust me when I say that she provides exceptional and superior dental care and services. She's a rare gem! Additionally, the fees were affordable and more than reasonable. I highly recommend her and the practice.

For 20 years, Dr. Jennifer Wachs and her Family Dentistry of Yorktown has and does provide professional, caring dental care for my family. Beyond the on-going cleaning and checkups, Dr. Wachs responds immediately when dental needs arise and makes judicious plans for major work. Our family first met Dr. Wachs when my husband sought a second opinion after another dentist recommended $20,000+ services. She reviewed the records, x-rays etc. and then recommended and delivered the needed dental repairs over a five- year period. This alternative plan cost our family very little over and above the amounts allowed annually by our dental insurance - a HUGE savings, a huge benefit! Dr. Wachs' integrity is tops. She is devoted to her patients well-being first and foremost. I return year after year for this consistent stellar service. If I could give this group a minus ten I most surely would! They charged my insurance fraudulently for services that were NEVER rendered, and then lied and said, "We did clean her teeth", as if I suddenly lost all mental capacity to remember, if I had my teeth cleaned? What mitigating gaul a medical facility and their staff must possess to make such a fraudulent statement! Stay far away from these bunch of crooks, and I'm planning to file a complaint with New Yirk State for Insurance Fraud!!!
