Dr. Troy Schmedding is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and obtained his DDS from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He has over two decades of experience in a variety of dental treatments ranging from complex restorative procedures to smile enhancement procedures like porcelain veneers. Dr. Schmedding is always committed to providing you and your family with high-quality care and exceptional treatments. I never thought I'd say this but I actually look forward to going to the office. They are all great, work very well together and make it a pleasant experience.

Just had my initial visit and teeth cleaning at Family Dentistry of Walnut Creek and the staff was very friendly and helpful when I called. I had left a request on their website to set up an appointment and they were prompt to call me back and continued to call even though it took me several times before I eventually called them back! During the visit my hygienist, Erin, was thorough and helpful with all my questions. Dr. Schmedding came in but was very busy so he asked if he could reschedule another time to meet with me to answer all of my questions. I have an issue with my jaw alignment and I appreciated his willingness and intentionality to make sure he had time to give me a thorough consult instead of rushing to keep his schedule. Afterwards Erin walked me back to the front desk and had the receptionist take the dentist consult off my claim and reschedule me for another day with that appointment. Overall, I felt very well taken care of!

I had the unfortunate circumstance of going through extreme tooth pain during this covid 19 crisis where so many doctors were closed and unable to see me. Family Dentistry, Dr. Schmedding, and his staff welcomed me with open arms and took my appointment immediately. They followed all safety protocol and still managed to evaluate me and connect me with a root canal specialist with haste. They are arguably the best dental staff I've ever worked with and recommend them with all of my heart.

Dr. Schmedding and his WHOLE staff truly go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable at the dentist. They are all so knowledgeable and make going to the dentist a fun time! I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone!

My husband and I have been coming to Dr. Schmedding for a couple years now and we won't ever leave! This is a wonderful practice where ever single person on the team is always on their game. We were referred by another patient and close friend - her family has been patients for many, many years. On top of being a fantastic dentist, Dr. Schmedding also offers clear aligners. It was affordable and convenient - all services performed in his office! I've just finished the program and couldn't be happier with the results. I honestly can't say enough about Dr. Schmedding and his whole team. They are honest, friendly, and good at what they do.
