Sandy is the office manager for Family Dentistry of Mt. Dentistry. She has been with the practice for 33 years. She lives in Mt. Pleasant and is married to Jerry, with two children, Casey and Neylan. She is a devoted Mimi to five grandchildren. She loves spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, reading, and crocheting.
Julie joined Family Dentistry of Mt. Pleasant in 2013. She is married to Crafton with one son, Vernon. She is a devoted Nana to five grandchildren. Her passion is spending time with her husband on their small farm. Her hobby is decorating.
Mary Beth is a graduate of Tennessee State University with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been at Family Dentistry for 13 years. She is married with two sons. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing with her boys.
April has been a dental hygienist at Family Dentistry of Mt. Pleasant since 2015. She graduated from Remington College of Dental Hygiene in 2014. She is married to her husband Lee and they have two sons. She enjoys spending time with family and traveling in her spare time.
Karla is a graduate of UT Memphis as a registered dental hygienist. She has been employed at Family Dentistry of Mt. Pleasant for 31 years. She is the mother of three children. Outside of work, she enjoys time with family and friends, reading, outdoor activities and loves to travel, especially to the beach.
Candace is a 1996 graduate of Tennessee State University as Registered Dental Hygienist and been with Family Dentistry of Mt. Pleasant for 20 years and lives in Summertown. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Ann has been a dental assistant for 33 and 28 years with Family Dentistry of Mt. Pleasant. She lives in the Milky Way Community of Pulaski. She is married with two children. She enjoys the beach, river and pool days soaking up the SUN!
I am Dr. Michael Tyler. I grew up in Columbia, Tennessee. I graduated from Columbia Central High School, earned an Associate Degree of Science from Columbia State Community College and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis, receiving my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1983.
Following graduation, my wife and I moved to Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to open my dental practice. My wife, Melanie, and I have two daughters, who are married, and five grandchildren. I enjoy boating and fishing with my family.
Going to dentist doesnt have to be a bad experience. I enjoy meeting all my patients, providing them with not only excellent dental care, but a lasting friendship. I maintain continuing education that brings new technology and equipment to provide my patients with quality care. My staff also shares these ideals, several of them working for me for more than 30 years. One of my greatest rewards is to treat the children of a patient I treated as a child.
Dr. Baker was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee. After attending Middle Tennessee State University to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, he moved to Memphis, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Health Science College of Dentistry.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Baker joined Dr. Tyler at Mt. Pleasant Family Dentistry in October 2018. Dr. Baker is delighted to be back in his home, where he can help you and your family achieve healthy, complete smiles!

Great Doctors (Tyler + Baker) + friendly staff = Good Dental Experience. Very professional and you feel like you have made new friends or rebuilt some connections from you childhood if you are from the Mt. Pleasant/Columbia area. Tooth extraction was perfect from Dr. Baker and I had great after procedure advice from both him and the staff.

Dr. Baker is by far the best Dentist I have ever been to. He takes the time to explain everything he does before he does it. He's very honest and will work with you if you don't have insurance which is very rare amoung dentist's these days. His hand are very steady and he moves with confidence which helps to ease your mind during a stressful time. I didn't feel a thing during my last procedure. He fixed my wife's tooth as well which is still holding up perfectly. We couldn't be happier. His assistant's are top notch too.. I highly recommend making Dr Baker your primary Dentist.
