Dr. Kim is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. She continued her study at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine for her doctoral degree in dental medicine. Dr. Kim has an extensive research background with the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute of Health and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, she has also been recognized and awarded for her research publications.
Dr. Kim is very active and wears many hats in the field of dentistry. Not only does she maintain her busy practices, shes also a certified trainer for SOLEA and a consultant and key opinion leader for many emerging dental technologies and concepts. Shes also passionate about providing the best comprehensive dental care for her patients. Dr. Kim is proud and grateful that her practices have grown primarily through referrals by current patients who have entrusted her with their dental care.
Dr. Bailey is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) in Mycology. He received his doctoral degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Following his studies at UPENN, Dr. Bailey spent four years in the United States Navy. During that time, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He completed his service stationed at Jacksonville Naval Hospital (Florida). Dr. Bailey also spent 6 months attached to the 3rd MEU aboard the USS Essex (LHD-2). Since leaving the Navy, Dr. Bailey has been in private practice in Washington and Las Vegas.
Before completing his education, Dr. Bailey spent 4 years enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco and Monterey (CA), Goodfellow AFB (TX), and Seoul, S. Korea. He is married with 3 kids and enjoys playing golf and spending time hiking and cycling.

Dr. Kim is very caring, understanding and thorough. The hygienist I had at my cleaning a few weeks ago was very accommodating to a condition I have and she did an amazing job. The team I had for my recent fillings was a bit different. The hygienist/technician was very professional when working with Dr. Kim, but when Dr. Kim left and someone stepped in to do my fillings it was a different story. They were goofing around and joked a few times about something not being correct. That is not reassuring as the person with a mouth full of instruments. It is in my file that I need bite guards or a device to help hold my mouth open as I have jaw problems and have a hard time keeping my mouth open. She was very rough and not understanding of my jaw fatigue when trying to hold my mouth open for extended periods during the procedure. I have a laceration on my lip from her brute forcing floss in-between my teeth and pushing down way too hard. I understand that my teeth needed to be flossed as a part of the procedure but I think she could have taken more care during this step. I was numbed so I didn't realize this had happened at the time. I will be returning in the future for cleanings because like I said they did a great job in this regard but I've requested to not have any future fillings done by this individual.

We have been coming here for over 10 years and are still happy with Family Dentistry. Dr. Kim is personable and takes time to talk about my concerns. The staff are ALL EXCEPTIONALLY great with my kids as well! Highly recommend!

I came in for an emergency visit, and I needed x-rays and a consultation to verify what was going on. At the time, I was uninsured and had no Dental Coverage. I had to pay $90 out of pocket for 1 photo of one side of my mouth, of the broken tooth. I was told I could do a root canal and cover the tooth with a crown at $2,600. No alternative options were explicitly discussed, and the staff seemed cold, rigid and anxious. We created a follow-up appointment just in case. But after 3 other professional opinions, I found out that the structure of the tooth was compromised and it needed to be removed. The canal and crown would have been an extreme waste of time, energy and money that I did not have. The staff were polite to me and i'm grateful for that. I just know that I was disappointed by the misdiagnosis and the side expenses.

I just want to say working with these girls have been the best experience I ever had, as a kid I was always so frightened of the Dentist but when I get there I just feel so relaxed and so calm and they are so nice and very thorough. I always come in early for my appointments. I come in a little before they open and they never go off order of arrival. They allow the waiting room to be open then just go off random. They did not acknowledge me when I stated I was scheduled at 7 AM and it was 7:30 before they even took me. I do have work and they did not respect the order we came in or my time. I appreciate Dr Kim but due to lack of order, courtesy and care they get a 1 star. They also lack care when it comes to my ortho appointments. They never told me how to take out my braces when I got them and they rush through the appointments just to get you through without the proper care or explanation. Its really sad the changes I am seeing her for my long term dentist. Also they called and were so argumentative after this review. They didn't try to hear me. I did neglect to come to front but they had a line close by the door who didn't respect who came first rather they raced to the check in I misunderstood and thought they went off appointment time, however they saw me and said nothing even after sitting in an empty room. They cut me off, spoke loudly to me and didn't handle it with the basic customer service protocol. Listen, care, and apologize for the experience. You can still hold to your protocal but dont disregard my experience. They didnt even address my braces issue I posted in here. Just wanted to correct me and tell me I am wrong.To be treated how they did over the phone was honestly worse than the experience.

I love Dr. Kim and her team. From the time I am greeted until the time I leave, everyone is smiles, warm and professional. The treatment that I receive from hygienist to dentist is the best I have ever received. I recommend Dr. Kim whether you are looking for a dentist or not. Give her practice a try and I know you will become a patient for life.
