Dr. Truyen OLeary is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years. She takes great pride in her work and is passionate about treating people with respect, integrity, and kindness. She loves dentistry because it allows her to meet people from all backgrounds and provides her with the opportunity to make a real difference in someones dental experience. I feel a great sense of satisfaction when patients with anxiety tell me that they look forward to returning for their dental care.
She enjoys working with people of all ages, especially children. Kids give me my biggest laughs! Her love for kids shows in her practice. The office is designed with a salt-water fish tank, a kids cave, lots of toys, and tons of TLC to ensure they have a great experience. She supports our community by sponsoring underprivileged children in her practice.
She continues to hone her professional skills by attending continuing education courses, integrating new techniques, and using the latest technology to provide dental care that is not only more comfortable for patients but also fosters long-term dental health.
Dr. OLeary comes from a family of nine children with parents of Vietnamese heritage. She is married to Steve, a retired Army pilot who now teaches flying locally. In her spare time, she loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her family.
I love my work because of the variety that it entailsI am a dental assistant and a patient care coordinator as well. I am blessed to be able to help patients in different aspects of their dental experience. I am with them while they have their treatment done and I also help them coordinate their care at the front office. What I love about working with Dr. OLeary is how much she truly cares about her patients and her staff. She is one of the most grateful people I have ever met!
I have been in the dental field for more than 18 years and have enjoyed every position that Ive had. I really enjoy meeting patients and their families. The best part is I get to know each one of them like family. Knowing that I can provide some assistance and reassurances to patients about their dental needs gives me great pleasure. In the time that Ive known Dr. OLeary, I have noticed that she truly cares about her patients and staff. She interacts with her patients like they are her own family. This speaks volumes for a healthcare provider. She also treats her staff with great respect and she makes our working environment even more special. Dr. OLeary wants each member of her staff to succeed and be their best by giving us the opportunities to succeed in our positions. I am truly thankful for being a part of her wonderful team!
What I love most about being a dental hygienist is being able to build a personal relationship with my patients based on trust. I enjoy providing educational, clinical, and therapeutic services to reach optimum oral health in a conservative manner. I love working with Dr. OLeary because she makes patient care our top priority. Dr. OLeary takes time to listen to her patients needs while providing solutions with the highest level of care. There is never a dull moment due to her caring nature and outgoing personality!
I love helping people achieve and maintain a healthy smile. I enjoy forming a partnership with my patients where we can work toward their individual health goals, and make an impact in their overall health. Dr. OLeary really cares about her patients. She strives to make quality dental care accessible and comfortable for her patients. She creates a positive, fun environment for her staff and her patients.
What I enjoy most about my job is helping patients who are apprehensive about dental work. It makes my day when I can make patients comfortable and less fearful. I am happy to be in a profession where I can meet different people and get to know their families. I like seeing the little kids get excited about coming in to see us. Dr. OLeary is very professional, friendly, kind, and generous. She makes me laugh with her sense of humor. She takes care of her staff like they are her family!

Easily the best dentist I've gone to. Dr. O'Leary and every member of the staff have been professional and incredibly friendly. From being greeted in, to the procedures themselves, every visit has been excellent. I cannot recommend them enough!

This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the staff and Dr. O'Leary. The office itself was spotless and the fish tank was amazing. Dr. O'Leary was very welcoming and she explained everything in detail. I look forward to coming back again.

I've been seeing Dr. O'Leary since I was a child. My family moved away but I always try to visit her office when I'm in town. I chipped my front tooth a few months ago and waited until I could see her. She fixed my tooth and my smile is beautiful again . Thank you Dr. O'Leary!

Being a military family it is always a hassle to find new dentists/doctors every time you move. Dr. O'leary was highly recommended from a family friend and I'm so happy to have found her! She truly goes above and beyond, has impeccable "bedside" manner and treats you like a person not just a patient. My whole life I've never been happy with my teeth and I can honestly say I am now! The staff is also incredibly kind and professional. I couldn't recommend this office more. Our whole family is thankful to have found this office!

My kids & I have had the upmost professional experience & gentlest bedside manner for patient care with Dr. Truyen O'Leary & staff. They offer you a fresh blanket to keep you comfy during your visit & continuously check our comfort levels. Always scheduled in a timely manner & seen promptly at appointments. We had our last appointment here because we are moving & will hold other dentists to this standard. Highly recommend especially if you're military.

Hands down the absolute best dental office I've ever been to. I've been going there for a little over a year now and I have never been disappointed. I myself am a dental assistant and have worked at 3 different offices and can say from working in the industry and knowing the field hands on my experience here is genuine. I would recommend this office to any and everyone. Everyone from the front desk, assistants and Doctor are amazing. Very welcoming, communicative and kind.

Update: My wife has had issues with dentists and hygienist being too rough on her teeth. When she got new insurance, I said you have to try Dr Oleary if she can't do it there is no hope for you. She got her cleaning and a crown put on and boom no issues and no pain. My wife is in heaven! I love this place and now so does my wife :). They are the nicest people ever. The staff is always so friendly and quick to get you an appointment! I never get lectured about my teeth! if I need a cleaning I go right in, get my teeth cleaned and out the door I go same with any other work I need to get done! I have never had a bad experience, nor do I ever expect it in the future! The ladies at the front are very personable and they make sure all your questions are answered without feeling like an inconvenience.

I, and my family, were patients of Dr O'Leary's for the last several years, until recently. Dr O'Leary is very kind and will always correct a filling if it's not right or check you out when there is an issue. I don't have anything inherently negative to say about her abilities. Her clinic has clearly taken on too many patients, when you can't even get in for a cleaning for 8+ months. One of the main reasons we chose to leave and find another dentist, aside from the scheduling nightmare, is her RUDE front office staff. While we understood that appointments were canceled at the start of the pandemic, my husband was told specifically he would be called to reschedule. No phone calls, no emails, no postcards. When I called to ask about the lack of communication, I was told "we have too many patients to call each and every one." That's when I no longer felt valued as a patient and only felt like a number. We have since found a dentist that makes us feel welcome and valued. You will get good dental work done, but don't expect warm and fuzzy.

Seems like this dentist office doesn't care about their patients & only care about money. They won't listen to you if you tell them there is something wrong with your filling (that they filled) and just send you out the door.

Been going to Dr. O'Leary for years, her children were students of my mother in law so it was a personal referral. They are always courteous, great environment and have taken care of my emergency situations as well (cracked a tooth) she also filled and sanded a chip in the front. When I wanted Invisalign she suggested a specific individual which I used and has been great. I wanted to go the cheap route and use smile direct, which they discouraged but still accepted. I eventually changed my mind and should have gone with the original recommendation. I highly encourage anyone who is searching for a dentist in the local area to call this clinic home.

The Staff here is always super friendly and welcoming. Dr. O'Leary does a great job. I have been to other dentists in the area and I was happy to have found someone who really is thorough in her work. I'm glad to have found this clinic.

Dr. O'Leary and her staff are great! We just moved to WA recently and I needed to find a new dentist for myself and my kiddos. I was nervous (per usual at any dentist) but everyone made me feel very comfortable and helped calm my nerves. I have been to their office several times and they are always punctual, communicative, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for dental care.

I understand the mask mandates but when the child has no mask on during treatment and is obviously upset you do not send the parent out to the car because of their inability to wear a mask. I cannot wear a mask and my daughter was crying and they made me sit in the car. Even though I was in the off the day before getting a cleaning with no mask and they are face to face with nonmasked patients. I've already had covid and cannot get it, per Pfizer we are all immune, and I told them that and they made me sit out. No empathy no compassion at all!!!!

FIRST, SHE HAS A POST AT HER DENTIST OFFICE TO REVIEW HER FOR A FREE TRIP TO HAWAII? I have been waiting to post this. I went to Dr Oleary for about two years. I always felt something was off (long story). Towards the end I came to her about two teeth that I thought she could just cover white like she did to my daughter. To make a long story short she said maybe insurance would pay for crowns. I agreed to submit for the claim. She said she was also going to submit for my two front teeth. I don't know why but Mutual of Omaha denied for the two that were bad and approved my front teeth. She scheduled me for that but NEVER EXPLAINED THAT TO DO THIS SHE WOULD HAVE TO DESTROY MY BEAUTIFUL TWO FRONT TEETH TO PUT THESE CROWNS. (That I did not need!) When she was doing it I could tell she was instructing her assistant not to let me see the mirror. When I realized what she was doing it was too late. She reduced my teeth to nothing. Then she came and said that I could never bite into an apple or anything like that because they could brake. I cried for a year, I felt violated, and waited another year to post this. Please, don't trust her. Doctors, Dentist, should explain and give you all information so you can make an informed decision. I WOULD HAVE NEVER AGREED HAD I KNOWN. She of course got paid so much more than if she had just done what I asked for. I still feel terrible about it. I finally felt like I could write this. Don't trust her.

I have been to around 4 dentists in Lacey and this place is by far the best. They are a judgement free place, I had many bad teeth when I first came here and they just wanted to help me get them fixed, didnt make me feel bad about having bad teeth in the first place. Love that!

Both my young daughter and I go here and we absolutely love it! The staff is amazing and very welcoming. Out of all the offices I called when we first moved, they were the only ones to accommodate us and we are so glad they did. They are truly professionals and the best!

Dr. Truyen O' Leary and her staff are AMAZING. From making an appointment to the actual procedure itself, I have felt safe and taken care of. Covid precautions have met all medical standards and beyond. My check-up was on time and thorough. The hygienist did a great job. Dr. O' Leary met with me personally and addressed any concerns I had. I felt at ease knowing I was receiving experienced and knowledgeable care. I left feeling comfortable and satisfied with my care. We even confirmed another appointment within the next 6 months. No insurance issues whatsoever. Thank you Dr. O' Leary and her team!! We will continue returning just as we have the last couple of years.
