Dr. Safrit along with his wife, Lisa, and their two boys, Bryce and Brant, settled in Greer following dental school in 2005 in the Sugar Creek development. Dr. Safrit and Lisa grew up between Concord and Salisbury, NC, north of Charlotte, where they were high school sweethearts. They married in 1993 and lived in Raleigh for ten years, where both boys were born.

Rob enjoys giving back to help others through mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala as well as locally through participating in Dentistry from the Heart and the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. Dr. Safrits son, Bryces Eagle Scout project was the first Dentistry from the Heart event FDH sponsored.

Dr. Mike Twitchell, also known as Twitch, moved to the Greenville area with his family in 1988. He attended Pelham Road Elementary, Northwood Middle, and Eastside High Schools (Class of 1998). While growing up, Mike was active in Northwood Little League and in Boy Scouts Troop 266 based out of St. Giles Presbyterian Church on Hudson Road. Twitch earned his Eagle Scout award in 1994.

He attended Clemson University from 1998-2002 where he earned an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated in 2002 and immediately began dental school in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina. While there, he participated in numerous research projects in the dental materials field. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2006.

Mike met Rob Safrit in 2002 while in dental school Rob was one class ahead of him. They became friends during their shared time at school. The early concepts of Family Dental Health began in conversations over dinner while in dental school both Rob and Mike found they liked differing, but complementary aspects of dentistry.

Over time, Mikes role at Family Dental Health has shifted from full time patient care (2006-2015) to full time operations management (2015-present). He manages from the trenches by spending most days in various practices working with doctors on their clinical objectives and career goals while keeping abreast of new opportunities for advancing patient care.

Dr. Twitchell met his wife Ashley, through her brother, Bryan, while they were in Boy Scouts together. Ashley and Mike were married in 2006 and currently live in Sugar Creek with their daughter Claire and their dachshund Roxie.

Twitch enjoys board and video games, reading, and teaching. He names his late mother, Ann Twitchell, a former teacher at both Northwood and Mauldin Middle Schools and his father, Michael Ray Twitchell, a retired project manager for Fluor Daniel, as people who have greatly influenced his life.

Shea M. Tolbert was born in North Carolina at Cherry Point Marine Corp Base, where his father was serving in the military. Most of his childhood was spent in Lenoir, NC. He later moved to South Carolina where he graduated from Easley High School.

Dr. Tolbert attended Clemson University where he was part of the Honors College and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. While at MUSC, he was presented with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry award for exhibiting the greatest interest, knowledge, and proficiency in the field of surgical and restorative implant dentistry.

Subsequently, Dr. Tolbert completed the prestigious University of Florida Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. This residency works closely with internationally renowned training programs, including The Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies and The Pankey Institute. He continues his passion for dentistry yearly by completing numerous hours of advanced continuing education courses in general practice and specialty procedures.

Dr. Tolbert is a faculty member of the Medical University of South Carolina where he helps train dental students rotating through the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. Also, he volunteers at Dentistry from the Heart FDH sponsored events.

While attending Clemson University, he met his wife, Jennifer Hoeben Tolbert. They married in March of 2007. Jennifer is a graduate of Seneca High School and Clemson University as well. She has been a choreographer for local dance studios, pageant coach, model and talent scout, and is the former official choreographer of the Teen, Miss and Mrs. All-Star United States pageants. His mother and stepfather reside in Greenville, SC. Sheryl, his mother, works at Patewood Hospital in Greenville. Steve, his stepfather, manages BMW of Asheville, NC.

In December of 2010, Dr. Tolbert and his wife had their daughter, Cayman, and in May of 2014, their son, Cohen, was born. In their free time, Shea and Jennifer enjoy attending Clemson sporting events, golf, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

As someone who has anxiety about going to the dentist, my appointment today went great. Jamie was wonderful and walked through each step before she began which really set my mind at ease. Dr. Herndon was very helpful and I am looking forward to going back again.

Bri was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable. The staff is helpful and welcoming. If you're looking for a judge free, understanding, and compassionate dentist this is definitely the right choice!

I have not been to the dentist in a VERY long time and was definitely well over do. I originally called and asked a ton of questions and Tori immediately made me feel beyond comfortable. Obviously, I was still skeptical due to being nervous and anxious but when I arrived and sat in the chair Brittany made me feel like I had been there 10000 times. They were very understanding of financial situations as not everyone has $2,000+ to put into dental work all at one time. I can definitely say I will be going back until I don't have anymore teeth and even when I don't I'll have them do my dentures. No amount of thank you's will let them know how much I appreciate them for putting my anxiety at ease.

Terrible experience. Staff was very rude. They gave me three different reasons why they didn't want to fix my chipped teeth that day. After explaining I really needed it done asap, they said they would start after showing me the price. They wanted to TEMPORARILY fix my teeth for almost $4,000, with a almost $2,000 (half of the total amount) being paid up front on the spot. This doesn't even include whatever I would pay down the line when it's time to actually do some dental work. I mean they were literally laughing as I was walking out like my pain and issue was some sort of joke. Needless to say I found another dentist and got better work from better people at a WAY more reasonable price. Definitely wouldn't recommend unless you want to spend a couple thousand every few weeks and be treated like a peasant. 0/10, will never go back.

The staff was very nice thanks to the young lady who held my hand while they were pulling my tooth. There was a small issue but other than that it was okay.

It had been a few years since I have been to the dentist. I was anxious about having someone judge me and my teeth, but the dental hygienist was amazing. She put me at ease and walked me through the process. I felt taken care of, and like the team there wanted to help. The dentist took the time to understand my limitations and we came up with a plan. The front counter team is alway smiling and ready for my dad jokes. Great place!!

For the first time in my life I was neither afraid, nor in pain, nor embarassed or uncomfortable in any way. The team at Family Dental Health is skilled and professional but they are also compassionate, friendly and receptive. The office smells clean, looks clean and feels clean. I highly recommend this dentist because I've finally found one I trust with my smile.

First off the office was clean everyone spoke to me and introduced themselves this was something my other office didn't do. When they took x-rays the dentist showed them to me and showed me on a TV screen that wasn't black and white which really made things clearer to me and he told me exactly what he was going to do. They were so nice. I will definitely be back!!!
