Dr. Safrit along with his wife, Lisa, and their two boys, Bryce and Brant, settled in Greer following dental school in 2005 in the Sugar Creek development. Dr. Safrit and Lisa grew up between Concord and Salisbury, NC, north of Charlotte, where they were high school sweethearts. They married in 1993 and lived in Raleigh for ten years, where both boys were born.

Rob enjoys giving back to help others through mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala as well as locally through participating in Dentistry from the Heart and the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. Dr. Safrits son, Bryces Eagle Scout project was the first Dentistry from the Heart event FDH sponsored.

Dr. Mike Twitchell, also known as Twitch, moved to the Greenville area with his family in 1988. He attended Pelham Road Elementary, Northwood Middle, and Eastside High Schools (Class of 1998). While growing up, Mike was active in Northwood Little League and in Boy Scouts Troop 266 based out of St. Giles Presbyterian Church on Hudson Road. Twitch earned his Eagle Scout award in 1994.

He attended Clemson University from 1998-2002 where he earned an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated in 2002 and immediately began dental school in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina. While there, he participated in numerous research projects in the dental materials field. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2006.

Mike met Rob Safrit in 2002 while in dental school Rob was one class ahead of him. They became friends during their shared time at school. The early concepts of Family Dental Health began in conversations over dinner while in dental school both Rob and Mike found they liked differing, but complementary aspects of dentistry.

Over time, Mikes role at Family Dental Health has shifted from full time patient care (2006-2015) to full time operations management (2015-present). He manages from the trenches by spending most days in various practices working with doctors on their clinical objectives and career goals while keeping abreast of new opportunities for advancing patient care.

Dr. Twitchell met his wife Ashley, through her brother, Bryan, while they were in Boy Scouts together. Ashley and Mike were married in 2006 and currently live in Sugar Creek with their daughter Claire and their dachshund Roxie.

Twitch enjoys board and video games, reading, and teaching. He names his late mother, Ann Twitchell, a former teacher at both Northwood and Mauldin Middle Schools and his father, Michael Ray Twitchell, a retired project manager for Fluor Daniel, as people who have greatly influenced his life.

Shea M. Tolbert was born in North Carolina at Cherry Point Marine Corp Base, where his father was serving in the military. Most of his childhood was spent in Lenoir, NC. He later moved to South Carolina where he graduated from Easley High School.

Dr. Tolbert attended Clemson University where he was part of the Honors College and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. While at MUSC, he was presented with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry award for exhibiting the greatest interest, knowledge, and proficiency in the field of surgical and restorative implant dentistry.

Subsequently, Dr. Tolbert completed the prestigious University of Florida Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. This residency works closely with internationally renowned training programs, including The Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies and The Pankey Institute. He continues his passion for dentistry yearly by completing numerous hours of advanced continuing education courses in general practice and specialty procedures.

Dr. Tolbert is a faculty member of the Medical University of South Carolina where he helps train dental students rotating through the Greenville Free Medical Clinic. Also, he volunteers at Dentistry from the Heart FDH sponsored events.

While attending Clemson University, he met his wife, Jennifer Hoeben Tolbert. They married in March of 2007. Jennifer is a graduate of Seneca High School and Clemson University as well. She has been a choreographer for local dance studios, pageant coach, model and talent scout, and is the former official choreographer of the Teen, Miss and Mrs. All-Star United States pageants. His mother and stepfather reside in Greenville, SC. Sheryl, his mother, works at Patewood Hospital in Greenville. Steve, his stepfather, manages BMW of Asheville, NC.

In December of 2010, Dr. Tolbert and his wife had their daughter, Cayman, and in May of 2014, their son, Cohen, was born. In their free time, Shea and Jennifer enjoy attending Clemson sporting events, golf, travel, and spending time with friends and family.

We are new to the area and asked our neighbors for recommendations on a dentist. Family Dental came highly recommended and we couldn't be more pleased. Always friendly and so accommodating. So glad to share a 10 star rating to a top-notch facility. Keep up the great work. Tim Martel

The hygienist was great, and Dr. Amati was pleasant, thorough, and helpful as always. Best of all, everyone was efficient and I was in and out in a minimum amount of time.

They don't waste your time, most dentists I have been to give you an appointment time & still make you wait 10-15 minutes longer. But they really respect your time & make sure they do everything that is required. Professional setup & family friendly.

Professional, clean, pleasant office! My dental hygienist Baleigh is the best! Dr. Armani is an awesome dentist! He's completed 2 crowns & I get really nervous when it comes to procedures like that! His personality & demeanor made me calm and it wasn't a bad experience! I would highly recommend this dentist office.

UPDATE: Great experiences! Dr. Enfinger and his team do great work! They have performed two procedures for me and I could not be more pleased. This doctor and his team have earned my trust and I am happy to give them my highest recommendation. UPDATE 10/05/19: I'm proud to call FDH my dental provider! A day of free services for those who otherwise would likely go without speaks volumes about the character of this fine organization! UPDATE 08/10/22: I guess you can say times change and organizations change also. I had FDH of Blue Ridge for my provider until I changed jobs and my new benefits were not in their network. I have been using another provider where benefits were in network for nearly 3 years. At this time, being without dental insurance and paying out of pocket while I wait for the new benefits to become effective, I was able to get a next day appointment for a brief exam yesterday. I was grateful for the timely appointment and for the evaluation I received. I was originally given a cash price of a little over $400 to have my teeth cleaned the day before. Then, after it was discovered that I was not a new patient at the time of my appointment, the new price was about half of what I was previously quoted. When I asked if the exam that I had just paid for could be applied to a full exam and cleaning, the answer was no. The doctor who provided my brief exam stated the pain I was experiencing was a result of a build up that a cleaning would correct, but again, being between the period for active benefits, both fees combined would have been within about $50 of the aforenentioned $400 at the present time. So I was given mouthwash and an Rx for an over the counter drug. My issues will remain until another firm can provide a thorough cleaning next week for a much more affordable out of pocket cost. From my perspective, I was disappointed to see that the entire personality of FDH of Blue Ridge office had changed and the welcoming atmosphere that I had been accustomed to was no longer present.

Avoid this chain and don't waste your time and money here! We got tooth filling with DrArowood and this filling completely fell out in less than 2 month. When you have issues with their work they will tell you we will remake. If you are just NOT TRUSTING them to redo it, it is your problem. They will tell you Patient was alert and happy. Patient to call if any problems arised. Warranty one year means - NO REFUND! It means more visits and finally Tooth lost! We did an examination in Charlotte and our office contacted them about it, doesn't matter - NO REFUND. He didn't chew anything hard, his mouth was completely empty when it happened, it just fell out next month after we did it. I sent three million pictures. It has a very sharp edges and clearly obvious filling exactly as was put in here exactly fell out! Horrible quality of services. Just avoid this chain!

Been at this location for several years... have seen different dentist and hygienist. Everyone has been above expectations. Last visit was with hygienist Carolyn which is very personable and professional. I enjoy hearing about her being from Canada, and all the snow. Also on my last visit I saw for the first time Dr. Val. She is also very thorough and professional. Dr. Val was probably one of the few people that knew about the little country place I grew up... Slabtown. Anyway, as you can read from my review, it is important for me to have a personable experience without sacrificing professional care. I think Blue Ridge Family Dental provides just that. Thanks...
