The building looks older but the staff here was incredible. They were polite, informative, and professional. My fiance was in a crazy amount of pain and swollen from an absess tooth. The price is fair for the speed and quality. My fiance went in barely able to talk or take a sip of water and left telling me he could of hugged that dentist. Hes never had such a great experience. The extraction was pain free unlike his past experiences . They answered all of our questions and were very quick to respond to emails before and after the appt. I highly recommend!!! I was shocked at how quick he was in and out and how much the swelling had gone down by the time we were checking out. 5 my fiance scheduled a follow up appt and we are willing to drive 1.5 hours just to go there.

Went to see them last week and was told my tooth was cracked by the dentist - and it needed to be extracted. I was in plenty of pain... After discussion and telling them which tooth I wanted extracted they were going to extract the wrong tooth.. DO NOT PAY FOR SERVICES UNTIL AFTER THEY HAVE COMPLETED ANY DENTAL WORK. They charged me for all of the proposed dental work and I changed my mind but told them to hold it bc I might be back the next day... my tooth was feeling better so I decided not to go back there and wait until I could see my regular dentist... I called them on Sunday and told them I would not be back and to refund my card - they said they could send a check and it would be in the mail the next day - It is a week later and still no check. I would not recommend dealing with them... They do not take medicaid or any discount insurance - I have carington 500.

I called this morning to see if they were able to repair a denture for a family member. I spoke with the dentist (he answered the phone), and was told he could repair it. During the appointment, a full new patient work up was done to "develop a treatment plan".... The only treatment needed was a repair. After being charged $250, we were told to come back at 3pm, ( and it would be another $300) because he didn't have what was needed. Maybe admitting that you couldn't do it on the phone would have allowed us to make an appointment with someone who could. Needless to say, we were not going back at 3pm. The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant... that's the only nice thing I can say.

Highly recommend Dr. Asif Sharif, this guy really has blessed hands and knows what he is doing when it come to numbing and extraction of teeth. I was having tooth pain on and off on Sunday July 3rd I figured all dentist would be closed I typed in weekend and emergency dental office's and Family Dental Group popped up. I have a fear of dentist but I promise you I will be going back to him. I was in the office all of 15 minutes if that as he and his wonderful assist went over our plan of action he was numbing my mouth. He asked if I could feel him messing with the tooth I said i don't know he said that's great he went in with his tool and said okay your finished would you like to see one of the cooperates that was the problem In disbelief I said okay show me. I literally was in aww mode . So do I recommend him and his assistant heck yes they are amazing.

My husband and I were headed out of town on a Friday for the weekend. 2 hours from home, hubby broke a tooth while eating lunch. I quickly looked for any dental clinic that could take him asap. They were able to get him in the next morning and pulled the tooth and put in a bone graft. He said they were all very pleasant and accommodating. Although our weekend didn't go as planned, and hubby couldn't party like he wanted, he was taken care of. Things could've been so much worse. We are so thankful they were there to help us in our time of need. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!

I am petrified of the dentist. Had terrible experience in the military. The dentist at this place was great. Had to get a tooth pulled and although it never is a pleasant experience he made it easy as possible. My family will be customers here now.

I almost didn't go because of the negative reviews, but I was in desperate need. If you need a dentist, stop looking at those negative reviews right now. First of all, they were the only ones who answered a phone on a Sunday and they answered it friendly and made an appointment for me. I was in a lot of pain. My regular dentist had seen me last week and referred me to someone but hadn't had time to make the appointment and now it was too late. So I headed up there. I want to start off by saying I am scared of dentists. And he was no exception there. I was scared. In fact, had a full blown panic attack while I was in there. So they had to pull a tooth. Husband was on the phone with my regular dentist who agreed with the course of action but hoped he could actually get me numb. I've had problems in the past getting numb before and alot of the time they knock me out for it. He was able to get me numb. Whoever says that he starts 30 seconds after the shot is lieing to you. He gave me the shot, waited and then poked around to SEE if I was numb. I wasn't. Another shot. Same thing. FINALLY got me numb. By the way, the nurse treated me like I would have treated my kids in this situation. WONDERFUL!!!! I would not recommend having an emergency on a weekend but if you do, I highly recommend Family Dental Group. I was not pressured or rushed into a decision, and as a cash patient, I didnt think that they were expensive at all, especially for an emergency! Thank you guys.

I called this morning with an emergency, and needed a tooth extraction.. ended up needing 5 teeth pulled because my teeth just aren't the best. I was a little nervous at first but all my worries were gone within minutes. The doctor pulled my teeth out in no time. I couldn't believe how fast and painless it was. He's definitely the doctor to go to. Definitely going back if i need more work. Can't thank them enough! (:

I would not recommend this practice to anyone at all. They don't even use the proper tools or materials to get the procedures done.My lips are sore and the corners are cut into because of the pulling of him and his tech to keep my mouth open because he didn't use any material to do so. I will be calling the BBB and health cert board to voice all of my concerns. This place needs to be shut down

I'm going to start the review off as nicely as I can possibly muster and say that I have seen dogs receive more humane and compassionate dental treatment than I received that Family Dental group of Ashland. All statements I'm about to make are fully documented and I have time stamps for proof. My husband called to make me a dental appointment because I was having excruciating pain, I'm 20 weeks pregnant and they accepted my insurance. I (did not) have a regular dentist prior to this visit, I was hoping to receive a dental visit that would not only inform me about the pain and make an educated treatment plan for me, but who would continue to see and treat me because better dental health is something I'd really like to prioritize. I was hoping for comprehensive x rays, an exam of some sort, possibly explanations and discussions of what was wrong. After waiting in the waiting room for about 40 minutes, I was called back. I told the dental assistant all my teeth were hurting, I'm pregnant, I expressed how anxious I was about this appointment and everything moving forward. She was very sweet and continued to be so during the entire appointment. The dentist came in very shortly after, I again expressed that I was *very anxious* about this, he was brisk and curt but at this point not rude, but not very accommodating of someone who is openly telling you they're very anxious about something. He pulled a large mirror with a light around it over my mouth, instructed me to open, and looked in the mirror. He announced I needed 5 teeth pulled. He did not put one instrument inside my mouth. I told him my main concern was my wisdom teeth, they were impacted and hurting. He did x rays, but there's no way he took the time to look at them because neither him nor the dental assistant ever left the very tiny, outdated room. I asked him if in his opinion, my wisdom teeth needed to come out today. He said he wouldn't tell me what to do and it was up to me, I could get the teeth removed or I could leave. I called my husband for a moment at 2:44 (documented with a time stamp for proof) to ask if he thought I should get them removed. He said go for it, something still didn't feel right to me but I knew I needed help with the two wisdom teeth that were hurting me. I got off the phone, I asked if I could have nitris or some sort of sedation. He told me no, my insurance wouldn't pay for it (even though I personally would pay out of pocket for it willingly) and that it would cause me a MISCARRIAGE. For reference, they use nitris oxide for pain management in the delivery unit of MCV hospital. He did not ask to speak to my midwife or for her phone number at any point in time, to discuss safe options. He very aggressively numbed me and less than 30 seconds after the last shot in my mouth was administered, began attempting to PRY MY IMPACTED WISDOM TOOTH out of my head. I told him I wasn't numb. He aggressively numbed me with more shots to the mouth and again, didn't wait 30 seconds before trying to forcibly yank the teeth from my head. I began to make some noise because I was uncomfortable and scared. Now blatantly agitated, the dentist told me to be quiet because I would scare other patients. He ripped 2 of my teeth out, because thank god I had some sense, and wouldn't let him take the other 2. He shoved one piece of gauze in my mouth, gave me zero aftercare instructions and told me to leave a good Google review on my way out. I was crying on the front stairs of the building by 2:58. So he did all of this in under 15 minutes. My husband took me to an actual reputable dentist office the very next day to make sure there was no serious damage done inside my mouth or to the nerves in my face. The dentist was SHOCKED that another dentist would "muscle" (his words, not mine) an impacted wisdom tooth out of a scared, pregnant woman's head without consulting with her OB, offering no long term treatment plan, and giving ZERO aftercare instructions. So here's the Google review you asked for, Dr. Sharif. I hope it's everything you wanted, and more.
