Dr. Beltran earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University Santiago de Cuba, Cuba in 2001, and then completed advanced training in Aesthetic Dentistry, implants, bone grafting, gum diseases , and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
She also successfully completed two years program for Advanced Education in General Dentistry along with a fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health in 2014.
As a lifelong learner, Dr. Beltran continues to complete extensive hours of post-graduate training in all disciplines of dentistry. Her extensive knowledge across all specialties of dentistry affords her the confidence to restore even the most challenging of dental health concerns.
Dr. Ashwini Joshi believes that a healthy and beautiful smile can light up your face and help build confidence. Overall decent experience. Staff is friendly and very accommodating when my schedule would change at the last minute. Came here for braces and only slightly disappointed at the results. I kept telling the ortho I felt one tooth (the problem tooth that I always disliked) was still not straight and thought needed more work. She was adamant it was bc one side was thicker than the other and said she could file it down once the braces where removed. I agreed and she filed it down, which then felt better at the time. Now like 2-3 weeks out of braces, the tooth is definitely not "thicker on one side than the other". It is still crooked. I'm using the better quality, expensive retainers they don't tell you about in the beginning, as instructed and as I look closely at them, you can tell the tooth is definitely not corrected. Now I need further ortho care to fix the tooth...

A very special practice! They greet me by name when I arrive, thoroughly explain everything they are going to do, take great care to keep me comfortable during each procedure and strike me as taking pride doing everything with precision. I had a less than caring or comfortable experience at another dentist's so being treated so well here has made this my forever dentist!! Get ready for a long review. I hope you read as it is my hope to prevent someone else from having to endure years of emotional and financial distress. This review is only directed at Dr. Patel as it's been many years since the awful/unethical work done on my teeth. In 2006 as a young teenager I came in with an aggressive form of periodontal disease (I didn't know). Rather than do the right thing and refer me to a periodontist Dr. Patel removed 5(!) teeth and put in two bridges that cost well over 10k (may I remind you this is 2006). The bridge itself was ill fitting and not aesthetically pleasing (he reattached it once and it became lose a second time, I never asked for it to get cemented again). As a 15-16 year old with a Spanish speaking (only) mother I had to advocate for myself and therein relied part of the problem. As he continued to see me my periodontal disease continued to worsen and in the process I lost 4 molars. Rather than refer me to a periodontist when I visited him for my tooth pain he would proceed by extracting the problem tooth. I eventually stopped going to him because it was clear that my oral health was not getting better and this so called professional was part of the problem. This all occurred throughout a 5 year period. I then decided it was time to find a new dentist to replace the awful work that Dr. Patel had done. At this appointment the new dentist informed me that he would not do any restorative work until I got my periodontal disease under control (the marks of a true professional). I was then referred to a periodontist where I had to have several more extractions since the problem hadn't been addressed. I required some bone grafting, cleaning treatments, and also implants. Thankfully, I am now happy to have gotten all of my dental health concerns addressed. My oral health is the healthiest it's been and my bridge was replaced with a beautiful smile created at Big Smile Dental. This ordeal has costed me over 45 thousand dollars. So much money and physical pain could've been avoided had he referred me to the right professional from the onset of my first visit. It was impossible with reviewing an X-ray that he could not tell what was going on with my teeth. I am writing this review 15 years later as proof of what an emotional toll this has taken and how now a much more mature me understands the gravity of his unethical practice. Shame on you Dr. Patel for praying on the community in order to make a quick buck!
