Dr. Rigg (the Dentist) and his wife Kris have made Aberdeen their home for the past 33 years. They moved here from Lincoln, NE upon graduating from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 1988. They then began both his dental practice and raising their family. They have four beautiful daughters (Maire, Mairghread, Erinn, and Fionualla). They have three son-in-laws now as well (Jon, Michael, and Dyllan).

Dr. Riggs hobby is also his profession. Do what you love and love what you do. Kris loves to scrapbook and has accumulated quite a variety of very organized memory books as a result. Kris has functioned in a variety of capacities within the practice over the years acting as an assistant, front office staff, bookkeeper, and a janitor as the needs of the business dictated. She taught preschool and special education until the arrival of their first child. She has been the consummate home maker ever since. Their girls have also taken a turn spending time helping out over the years in the office. It has become and remained very much a family practice in that regard.

Dr. Riggs move over and in with Family Dental feels a very natural one. He and Kris feel it will be beneficial to themselves, their patients, as well as for Family Dental. Dr. Rigg has no plans to retire and is looking very much forward to a long, pleasant journey along this new path.

Theres nothing like the feeling you get when you touch someones life who cannot repay you. Weve made it our mission to give back. When you become a patient of Family Dental Care, you help us made a difference.

In an effort to educate the areas youth on the importance of dental health we open up our offices for preschool and other school tours. We also spend time in classrooms providing instruction on oral hygiene. Its important for children to get into good habits early and we strive to do our part to be sure that happens.

Dentistry is a service that is woefully lacking in many parts of the world. For over thirty years, we have visited poverty-stricken countries and have helped the poor with their oral health. Seeing the smiles light up truly makes it worth it.

Sometimes families go through hardships. Our office accepts Medicaid for patients under the age of twelve. Oral health is very important to us. Family Dental Care takes pride in offering services to children in our community.

Went into the dental office due to a bad tooth, drove over 100 miles to get to the office... during my visit to have the tooth simply pulled, they took only ex-rays, told me i needed a cavity filled along with a cleaning... they never did a cleaning of my teeth, nor did they fill the cavity claimed to be fixed... walked me out, said we will bill you, and not even a word about rescheduling to have the cleaning and cavity filled.... this, to me is poor and extremely bad customer service and relations....

I follow all infection control procedures in my office as mandated by OHSA, CDC, and the ADA. I also wear a mask when required outside of my office. I believe that people, out of respect for others, should wear a mask when appropriate but it shouldn't be mandated by government officials. This world would be a lot better place if we could have tough conversations without attacking someone personally and taking things out of context. We all need to pray as a country we'll become more united over the next four years instead of endless division

Absolutely terrible dentist. Do NOT take your children here. Extremely rough with my little 5 year old girl and very rude and belittling to her. Also will charge you double what every other dentist will for a tooth extraction. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Doesn't support mask use during a global pandemic and makes it publicly known .... probably much better offices and dentist to pick from.

We have had nothing but amazing experiences. We are so blessed to have found such an amazing place with amazing staff and dentists. We qont go anywhere else. They are amazing with our 4yr old she needed a filling and we were in and out. They made her feel so comfortable and she loves that they have toyboxes that she gets to pick a toy after her cleans and appointments.

Does not support wearing masks during a pandemic. Makes me question their practices and if he is safe himself. It's scary when you see people in the healthcare field not backing science.

Would have been 5 stars until today. My family has been patients at Family Dental Care for many years and we have always received excellent and timely service. They have always been able to schedule appointments when needed or fit us in when there was an emergency, until today. I called in to schedule my twice yearly cleaning and was told they were currently scheduling for February. February?? My last cleaning was in February. It's time for my six month cleaning....

These are some top quality folks! I had a crown put on at another office after which my retainer no longer fit. I went in expecting to have to spend several hundred dollars on a new one but they were able to adjust my current one to fit again!

I called in stating that I had severe tooth pain over the weekend. They took the time and got me in the same day I called. Staff is friendly and diligent. If you need dental work, this is the place to go!
