Dr. Rachel Johnson, Dentist, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and a huge LSU Tigers fan. Dr. Johnson completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson, Mississippi. She has been practicing here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee since 2006 and is an active volunteer with Interfaith Dental. She completed her implant training with Dr. Michael McCracken at the Alabama Implant Education center in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Johnson and her husband are busy raising three young and very active boys. In her 'spare' time, she enjoys all things outdoors and loves SEC football. Dr. Johnson is also a big fan of music and the arts.
Dr. Ashley Whetsell, Associate Dentist, is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a proud graduate of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Whetsell completed a rigorous, oral surgery based general practice residency in Morgantown, West Virginia. Furthermore, she was trained by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics to administer dermal fillers and Botox for facial esthetics and orofacial pain. Dr. Whetsell married her dental school colleague and sweetheart, Kevin, Memorial Day Weekend 2018. They have two yappy, rescued Yorkshire terriers, Abu and Raksha. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Whetsell enjoys traveling, being active outside with her family, listening to the live music Tennessee has to offer, and attempting to cook her mother-in-laws authentic Indian dishes. Dr. Whetsell is enthused to provide an exceptional patient experience with the ultimate goal to restore a comfortable, functional and beautiful smile for all the patients she treats in Murfreesboro.
Samantha, Office Manager, joined our team in April 2017. She has been in the dental field since 2009 after earning her dental assistants certificate at Tennessee Technology Center. She enjoys helping patients understand and maximize their insurance benefits. When away from work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.
Ashley, insurance coordinator, is a southern California native that has embraced middle Tennessee as her home since 2008. She has worked front office in the dental field since 2014 and strives to make every experience a pleasant/positive one for all every day. She believes life is what you make it and feels it's best to always make the effort to choose happiness and unwavering kindness above all. The greatest loves in her life are her husband Robert, their two Chihuahua fur babies Loxley and Drogo, family and friends, traveling, all things Disney, horseback riding, and being at home watching movies.
Devon, Hygienist, is a native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee where she and her family currently reside. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in Animal Science. She then received her degree from Tennessee State University in 2006 for AAS in Dental Hygiene. Devon is certified to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Devon's husband, Randall, works for the town of Smyrna. They have two boys, Parker and Reed. Devon has been working with Dr. Johnson since 2007.
Stefanie, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, is an alumni of Middle TN State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She received her associates degree in dental assisting from Daymar Institute and her expanded functions from The University of TN, Memphis. She is a native of Estill Springs TN, and currently resides in Rockvale TN with her husband and two children. She enjoys family time, being outdoors, running and playing golf.
Sarah, Hygienist, graduated from Indiana University Northwest with an Associates in Dental Hygiene June 2002. She has been working in a dental office since 1998. Sarah has been married since 2007 and has twin girls that were born in 2012. Sarah and her family relocated to Murfreesboro in 2018 from the southside of Chicago. When she is not working, Sarah enjoys being with her family, traveling and working out. Sarah has been with Dr. Johnson since 2018.
Kacey, Registered Dental Assistant, is from Sevierville Tennessee and has been living in Murfreesboro since 2007. She received her Associate of Science degree from Motlow State Community College and then went on to pursue a career in dental assisting at Tennessee College of Applied Technology. She is now certified in dental radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, and coronal polishing. She has been very active in childrens ministry since the age of twelve. She loves taking her two dogs for walks at the Greenway and enjoys playing guitar in her spare time.
