Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and with the exception of wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth, which is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.

Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is important that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

Fales Pediatric Dentistry is a God sent! My son has severe anxiety to the point he gets physically ill. I won't say what dentist we left to go to Fales, but they wanted nothing but money out of patients. Fales is amazing. They talk through everything they are about to do and pause if need be for him to take a break or get ill if need be. They are the people that deserve everything good in this world. Being a single mom it's hard to see your only child struggle and be terrified but since switching to Fales for his last few visits I don't have to worry at all about how he's going to get through it because I know every single time these amazing ladies and Dr Fales will do everything in their power to make him as comfortable as they can. I could go on and on about Dr Fales office :). Just know they are AMAZING!!!! Thanks for being so awesome!

WOW! Just left my daughters appointment and came straight to google to write a review. The dental assistants and dentist were absolutely incredible. I needed to take my 3 year old in for an emergency appointment. This was her first ever experience at the dentist and they exceeded my expectations. Everyone was incredibly nice and patient. I was well informed and felt like my daughter was in excellent hands the entire time.

As a parent of a special needs child it is always difficult to find a good dentist. Dr Fales is patient, gentle and kind. Hygienist was sweet, patient, kind and understanding of what my child was capable of doing. One great experience for both mom & child!!

I called Dr. Fales' practice on a Sunday when our toddler had a fall at the splash pad which resulted in a lot of blood and one very panicked mama. Dr. Fales left his 4th of July party to ensure that we were okay and took the time to educate me on what to look out for. He even left us his cellphone number to reach out if we had any more questions or concerns!!! I am so thankful for him and his practice. He goes above and beyond for his patients. 10000% recommend!!

I was SUPER impressed with how they handled my girls. My oldest tagged along and they included her and even gave her treats. We loved the staff and environment, and we will definitely be going back. I chose Fales because of recommendations from other moms with special needs kids and they did not disappoint.

As someone who practiced veterinary medicine for nearly 22 years, I am struck by the professionalism, patience, kindness, and competence exhibited by Dr. Fales and his team. I pay them the greatest compliment of all: your experience rivals that of the veterinary office :-)

I have debated leaving a negative review, but for the sake of others, I feel it is important to do so. We have two kids who began going to Dr. Fales about 5 years ago. There had been a couple things that I wasn't thrilled about, such as only getting to see Dr. Fales one time a year. (The other time a hygienist does the exam). The final straw, if you will, was when I was told by the hygienist that my kiddo would need to return to have 3 cavities filled. Her teeth were very healthy & my gut said that this wasn't right. I decided to take her to my dentist for a second opinion. No cavities. I then took her to another pediatric dentist, whose x-Rays were much clearer, and again, no cavities. I was also told by Dr. Fales that she needed orthodontics & to discuss it further and get a work up with x-rays would require an appointment at a cost of around $450. Took my same child to an orthodontist (at no cost) only to find out she does not need orthodontics. My other child whom I expressed concerns about regarding orthodontics did in fact need orthodontics as well as extractions despite Dr. Fales saying he did not need them. This was our experience. Take it for what it is worth. I love the staff, but it seemed that quality of work was not there and our trust was broken.

I love this place because the staff is charming and welcoming, the ladies at the front office are great. I can not say enough about them. Dr. Fales is one of the best pediatricians in the area. He loves what he does. He treats kids with respect and dignity, and kids love him. Every time I take my kids for their visits, we are constantly showered with an exciting experience. He is a good listener, and he takes the time to explain his recommendations. As a result, we don't feel rushed when we are there. I highly, highly recommend this office.

The entire staff is patient and understanding of our young kids and their potential fears associated with visiting the dentist. They are firm but gentle in helping our older child learn to sit through x-rays, etc. They make the entire experience as fun for the kids as possible. My kids love the dogs and fish tanks. Their processes since Covid make me feel like they are doing everything they can to avoid spreading any illness. I highly recommend them!
