Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

The hygienist is great but I am concerned about there lack of retaining a dentist. They've had 3 different dentist in a year and a half. Makes me wonder.

Impressive service from everyone in the office from the receptionist and billing to the hygienist and dentist! They took the time to answer my questions in regard to the dental work and cost for me without dental insurance over the phone. My appointment was for 10:30, and they were on time! The hygienist was amazing, and she made me feel completely at ease through the periodontal deep cleaning/scaling (I think it is called) and definitely did a thorough job paying attention to detail. The dentist was as cheerful as the rest of the office. As a first time patient to the office, he took the time to go over any concerns and explain the care he saw fit. I though I may need a tooth pulled, but he wants to first try to see if we can save that back molar. I highly recommend the dental office to those near and far. It is worth the 2 1/2 hour roundtrip drive. Thanks!

I had a great experience at Fairview Heights Dentistry! I was able to schedule a same-day appointment online and did not have to wait long once I got to the office. The staff was incredibly nice and I had a nice conversation with everyone that I encountered. Furthermore, the office is kept clean and decorated very nicely. I would recommend Fairview Heights Dentistry to everyone!

Terrible. The dentist was rude. He acted as if he just didn't want anything to do with me as soon as I came in the office. I needed a simple dental procedure and he found every excuse to not do it or it's too much work. It was a complete waste of time. Stay away!

Worse place I have ever been. The dentist there just flat out didn't want to help. He insulted me in every way he could masking it. Go to another dentist and he did not have the same opinion at all. I have never felt as uncomfortable as I did there. I was accused from the front desk girl of contesting I was ever there bc of my signature wasn't "pretty". Accusing me of being a crook. I was met right away with accusations. My first time ever stepping in there. I know the dentist is from India and I know they don't look highly on women and they live in a hierarchy there. As a woman he made me feel very low.

Went twice. Both times the dentist name mamai just says I can't do anything. It's basic dental work. As he looks in my mouth he just kept shaking his head as if he hates his job. If you need dental work done. Don't waste your time coming here Bc he'll just say "I can't do it".

Absolutely horrible. The dentist there was disrespectful. He complained through out the whole examination. I did not feel comfortable there at all. Felt unwanted and not cared for. If you're looking for a good dentist. Go else where

Love this office! Even though he is leaving, Dr. Mathai is AMAZING! He is the most helpful dentist I have ever met. Helped us remove some old braces glue from nieces teeth, that was causing damage, when no one else would help! Truly a life saver. Sad to see him go. Works quickly and always does great work!
