Dr. Thuc Luu is a graduate of University of Boston University, Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He has been a dentist for over 20 years and has taken several post graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his DMD degree. He is currently an active member of American Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Association, and American Dental Implant Association. Dr. Luu is dedicated to providing premium care to his patients.
He is aware of changes and advancements in both cosmetic and implant dentistry and is constantly keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry which enables him to provide his patients with the best quality of care.
Dr. Luu has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments. In his spare time, Dr. Luu enjoys reading, fishing, gardening and spending time with his two sons Ryan and Gavin.

Physicians have relied on computerized axial tomography scans (CAT) for years. Today, many dentists rely on 3D imaging scans to provide them with a detailed view of the mouth and skull. 3D scans are quick and simple to perform. A Cone Beam Imaging System is at the heart of the 3D scanner. The cone beams are used to take literally hundreds of pictures of the face. These pictures are used to compile an exact 3D image of the inner mechanisms of the face and jaw. The dentist is able to zoom in on specific areas and view them from alternate angles.
3D x-rays provide our team a more comprehensive view of your entire mouth which helps us locate issues that arent always identifiable in a 2D image. We in turn are able to coordinate treatment planning and dental services to our patients in more depth and can explain treatments with greater clarity and accuracy. Other benefits include:
At Fairview Dental, our dental laser means no more drilling and no more needles. Instead of that awful drilling noise you simply hear a soft clicking. The laser gently removes decayed tooth structure and unhealthy tissue. The laser uses water droplets combined with laser energy, there is no heat or vibration.
Laser dentistry is especially well-suited to the preparation of teeth for fillings, root canals, gum surgery and more, as the laser easily removes decayed tooth structure while conserving as much of the healthy tooth as possible. Very few dentists in California have this level of technology.

worst dentist i have ever been too in my entire life. went for a wisdom tooth extraction and should of been put under anesthesia and was not. i had an impacted tooth coming in sideways and they did not see this on the x ray. my mouth was more numb for a deep cleaning then for a wisdom tooth extraction. also he charges way too much for his services. i would not recommend this place to anyone. i wish i i could give no stars. was told i would feel no pain and that was a lie. this dentist is terrible. dont go here

Great dentist and exceeds me expectations. It's close to where I live so I usually go there. The facility is very clean and tidy and the staff are nice. The teeth cleaning is fairly quick and painless. They provide free coffee at the lobby and hand sanitizer and one of their chairs have massaging built into it. I would definitely come here again.

Great dentist and exceeds me expectations. It's close to where I live so I usually go there. The facility is very clean and tidy and the staff are nice. My Family and I have been going to Fairview Dental for several years.. Dr Luu, the Hygienist and staff are always friendly and helpful. We've had different type of work done and we've been satisfied with their work. They follow up with post ops and schedule our appointments that work around our schedules. We highly recommend their office.

I'll start off by saying I do really not like to Dentist I have severe anxiety and panic attacks probably the worst I had to get a to extractraction they got me in the same day they were s So patient with me during the whole process and understanding after my tooth was pulled I felt like I was going to pass outI felt like I was going to pass out They put cold towels on my head and gave me juice they really really stepped up to make me feel better and not pass out I really would recommend this place does it state in the

Dr. Thuc Luu is a perfectionist in his field! His tender loving care is immaculate, and always ensure that a procedure is done exactly right. The quality of service is topnotch. My wife was also a patient, and she stated that he is mindful of your comfort level consistently. The staff are also caring, professional, and go out of their way to make your visit as pleasant as it could be. We wouldn't want to go anywhere else for our dental care but here. 5 stars and more! Dr. Luu and his staff are an awesome team! They were attentive and patient with my kids, which made our family visit enjoyable. Dr. Luu was very thorough with my exam and even showed detailed photographs of my teeth afterwards. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends!
