Dr. Griffin focused on dental occlusion at The Dawson Academy. This training provided him with a better appreciation for the way teeth are meant to function together and the problems that result when they dont. Most importantly, this training provided an understanding of the systematic approach to treating those problems.
Dr. Griffin is also certified in both oral and intravenous moderate conscious sedation from Dr. Kenneth Reed and Dr. Stanley Malamed through the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry and the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. This training has proven beneficial for patients who are especially anxious or require particularly complex treatment.
Dr. Griffin holds a surgical and prosthetic fellowship from the Misch International Implant Institute, as well as a fellowship from the International Congress of Implantology. Both organizations are committed to a comprehensive and systematic approach to implant related dentistry.
Teeth are meant to last a life time and ideally, the best thing we can do to a tooth is nothing. However, over time and for a variety of reasons, teeth sometimes break down. When they do, treatment to correct the problem and keep the tooth is required. Typically, the earlier we provide treatment the more predictable the outcome.
My job is to help you keep your teeth or their functional equivalent for your entire life. I have come to believe that one of the most important services I can offer a patient is a thorough examination followed by a diagnosis and treatment plan for both their present and future dental health. I believe a dentist should act as an educator and counselor to their patients. Good dental care and healthy, functional teeth make a positive difference in peoples' lives. It would be my pleasure and honor to help you in reaching and maintaining that goal.

Extremely knowledgeable and were able to explain in great detail about the work being performed and the work needing done for future visits. Amy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to recommendations on certain products to buy and helpful with educating me on better ways to take care of my teeth.

Everyone was fantastic. Dr Griffon and Jennie made sure I was comfortable the entire time during my fillings and wisdom teeth extractions! Highly recommend Fairview to anybody looking for a dentist who cares!

My experience at Fairview Dental was excellent. From the receptionists, through the hygienist and to the dentist, I felt I was treated very well. The hygienist was thorough in cleaning my teeth and explained why she took each step. The dentist gave me a clear explanations of my options and I felt no pressure to jump right into expensive procedures. As far as going to the dentist goes, it was a positive experience.

As someone who has some dental anxiety, I appreciate all the staff here who are always happy to walk me through what will happen before a procedure and make me feel at home when I'm there. They also do a great job of being efficient and there's not much waiting, even when the office is busy. My kids also go here and we've always had good experiences. Dr. Griffin outlines treatment plans and understands patient priorities. He's great at what he does!

Highly recommend! I've been to a handful of dentists over time, and this might be one of the most thorough dental offices. Everything from a thorough cleaning to giving me options for my dental needs. No pressure applied and gave me the detailed information i needed to make an informed decision for myself. I had called them a week prior to see if they were accepting new patients. They were but didn't have any openings before my insurance was up. They had a cancellation and gave me a call the next day!

Fairview Dental's staff is always professional and courteous, but at the same time relaxed and down to earth. They have a way of making you feel very comfortable. Dr. Griffin is the best, I can't say enough about the care I've received from him.

Went in for tooth/gum pain. Had not been able to get in anywhere. They got me in desite never being there before. They were friendly and understood my dental anxiety. They were gentle. The dentist put me at ease and explained what was going on and what I needed to do. Gave me some samples to get started and after a quick high five...I was on my way. Would definitely recommend.
