I love being a dentist. I look forward to each day, knowing Im going to spend time with great patients and a wonderful staff. It is my goal to make everyone as comfortable as possible and help patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. It is great to be in the SMILE business!

It has been my pleasure to have practiced at Fairview Dental since 1988. I graduated from Wabash College in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. I went on to earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University in 1988. I am certified in Invisalign, Lumineers, CEREC same-day crowns, and Wave One rotary endodontics.

I am a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society, Fox River Valley Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, andAurora Dental Society. I served as president of the Aurora Dental Society from 1993 to 1994, and president of the Fox River Dental Society from 2001 to 2002. I also work with Two Rivers Head Start to provide dental care for their clients.

I am proud to call Aurora my home. Im excited to help make Aurora a great place to live. I volunteer my time with Kiwanis, Boy Scouts, the Compassion Foundation, Knights of Columbus, and my church. In 2009, I was co-chairman of the capital campaign for St. Katharine Drexel parish to build a new church and parish center. Again in 2018, I was co-chairman to raise capital to build a new rectory at St. Katharine Drexel. I also participate in Donated Dental Service and the Dentist with a Heart programs that provide free dental care to those in need. Our office donates our time at Mission Possible, a free dental clinic in downtown Aurora.

I reside in Sugar Grove with my wife Lisa. Our three grown children Megan, Mary, and Sam complete our family. My interests outside of dentistry include enjoying time with my family, long bike rides, and cheering for the Chicago Cubs. As an Eagle Scout, I help younger scouts in Troop 53 achieve the rank of Eagle.

I am also a top age-group triathlete:ten-time marathoner, including Boston in 2010, and a three-time Ironman finisher in 2005, 2009, and 2012. I enjoy getting muddy off road with my Jeep and I make a wicked chicken pepperoni.

I feel very fortunate to be a dentist. It is satisfying to help someone by immediately relieving pain or performing a cosmetic procedure that improves a patients smile. I enjoy forming long-term patient relationships its fun to see how patients lives change over the years!

Prior to becoming a dentist, I graduated from Parkland College with a degree in dental hygiene in 1984. I graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1993 with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While in dental school, I received the William Starek Award in Endodontics, American Society of Pediatric Dentistry Award, and Academy of General Dentistry Award.

Although my formal education is complete, I believe that a continuing education benefits all dentists and patients! I regularly attend classes and seminars through professional dental organizations in order to keep up with the most advanced methods and technologies. I am also certified in Lumineers, Invisalign and Cerec same day crowns.

I love being a dentist because I get to help people every day!Ive been in the dental field since 1984 and have been a dentist for more than 20 years. Some people dread going to the dentist, butI have the ability to turn their opinions around. Our patients actually look forward to coming to see us, and I wouldnt have it any other way!

Our team is a group of individuals who all work for the same goals: To provide excellent dental treatment and to help patients feel comfortable. Many of us have known each other for many years and are friends outside of work. Patty, a hygienist for over 30 years, and I went to dental hygiene school together.

I grew up in Sterling, and have lived in the Fox Valley area since 1993. My spare time is often spent with my Labradoodle, Coco, and entertaining family and friends. In the summer months, I love to have pool parties and cookouts. When its not so nice out, I love to play Guitar Hero or host card tournaments.

I am lucky to live in a wonderful community, and I enjoy helping those in need. I have been active with both the Aurora Childrens Dental Service and Dentist with a Heart for the past ten years. I currently serve on the Aurora Dental Society and the Day One Network boards. I have served on the board of the Fox Valley Dental Society from 2000-2006 and was its first female president in 2004-2005.

Being your dentist is my number-one priority. Dentistry is what I love because it gives me the opportunity to help you obtain a bright and healthy smile. The satisfaction that I get from coming to work every day with a stellar dental team is pleasantly fulfilling, and for that, I am truly blessed.

You can expect me to provide you with compassionate oral healthcare. Patient comfort and trust are qualities I strive to achieve with all my patients. My goal is to provide oral health education, state the facts, and recommend treatment. I am just one player on the dental team; you are the other.

I was born and raised here in Aurora, and attended Holy Angels Catholic School and West Aurora High School. I graduated cum laude from the honors college at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in 2011, with a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. In 2015, I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the UIC College of Dentistry.

I hope to become a leader in my hometown of Aurora (especially as a mentor to the youth), and to provide exceptional oral health care to the community at large. I am a member of Aurora Kiwanis because it helps me stay connected to the community. Aurora has given me the foundation to become the person I am today.

I have a large extended family in Aurora: I spend my spare time with them and my four-year-old brother, Matthew. I embrace an active lifestyle such as hiking the Rockies, traveling, cycling, and football (soccer). My young dental career has taken me abroad to provide oral healthcare to children in Jamaica and Guatemala as well as Colorado.

I am very excited to carry on the tradition of excellent dental care at Fairview Dental. I enjoy coming to the office each day, and am blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion with my patients and provide comfortable and quality dental care.

A lifelong patient of Fairview Dental, I grew up in nearby Lisle and attended Benet Academy. I continued on to the University of Notre Dame where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science. My academic journey next led me to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where I graduated magna cum laude and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During my fourth year in dental school, I completed extra course work in the oral surgery department, and gained invaluable experience treating more intensive cases.

Since dental school, I have continued my education by traveling to various seminars and through consistent online learning. In my free time, I enjoy reading the latest literature on new methods and technologies in dentistry. I make use of several of these technologies in the office such as Invisalign Clear Aligners, CEREC same day crowns, and WaveOne Endodontics. I am driven to continue learning as much as I can so that I can provide the most up-to-date dental treatments to my patients.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work each day with my fabulous team to provide you with our best care. Taking care of your dental needs in the most comfortable and pain-free manner is my goal, and thanks to modern dentistry, this is very achievable. Making sure patients understand their treatment options is also very important to me. I enjoy taking the time to educate our patients so that they can be in control of their dental treatment and make the best decisions regarding their oral health.

My wife, Natalie, and I look forward to starting a family here in the western suburbs, where I have a large extended family spread out among the Fox Valley and greater Chicagoland area. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling, exploring the local food scene, and cheering on the Cubs, Bears, Buckeyes, and above all, the Fighting Irish.

While at Ohio State, I was very involved in the community. I served as the student body president for the six professional schools at OSU, and I enjoyed planning many events and fundraisers around Columbus. I also served as the vice president of our OSU chapter of the American Student Dental Association, and I sat on the board of the Columbus Dental Society. Now that Im in the Aurora area, I have continued my leadership involvement as Vice President of the Aurora Dental Society. I am excited to continue my engagement in the community and see where I can get involved next.
