I originally liked this dentist office, and the work they do is good. I had been coming to this location 20+years. They changed ownership, built a new building which is nice. I had no problem with them Until recently. I usually double up appointments for both my sons and for my daughter and I. When I went to take my sons to their appointment they had me update paperwork which was OK. However I did and they used an excuse on how I had so much paperwork to do that they would only do one of my sons and I can bring the other one back the next day. I honestly thought it was for them to be able to get out early. I had already completed the paperwork when she came to tell me this. The second thing I didn't like was my daughter and I had an appointment a couple weeks later. I had remembered I had confirmed that I would be there when I was at my boys appointment and they called the day before the appointment but I work in a factory and I wasn't able to return the call. However the day of the appointment on my way home from work I was listening to my messages I called to let them know yes me and my daughter we're on our way and they let me know they had already filled the appointments. After that I've decided it's time to MoveOn so they've lost four of us because they wouldn't do what they were supposed to do and they canceled our appointments when I told them I would see them in a couple weeks.

Dr. Mullins and her staff are top notch! I was seen for an issue that I was having and they fixed it quickly. They were able to see me the same day and the staff was so pleasant. Dr. Mullins did an excellent job. I highly recommend Fairlawn Family Dental!

Professional and friendly. They made transferring from my old dentist and setting up my first appointment a breeze. Laken and Dr. Kayla were top notch on my first visit. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient for a cleaning and to have a cavity filled in which both visits were pleasant. I took my daughter for a routine consult and cleaning in March of 2021. The staff were excellent and made her feel comfortable. I did not receive an invoice for the visit (which should have been covered per our benefits) until July and it had no date of service nor did it have the services provided. I called to speak to the office manager regarding my insurance benefits and they encouraged me NOT to contact my insurance, that they would handle it. I immediately called my insurance and the agent told me that no claim had been filed from that date nor from that dentistry. I received a phone call from Fairlawn Family Dental in December saying the claim from her visit in March had been denied from our insurance. We received another invoice on 1/5/22. This time it had the date of service, but still no services provided. In the invoice that was sent was also the letter from our insurance denying coverage for that dental visit. The claim had been filed on 11/1/21. I will not be going back to this practice as it is unethical to wait over 7 months to file a claim with out dental insurance that should have been done within the same month.

I have been going to this office since childhood. After Dr. Mullins took over, I continued and had been pleased until recently. I had to get two cavities filled. After the first one, that tooth felt much better. After the second one, I started having pain on that side of my mouth that started above the tooth filled and soon radiated to the bottom jaw line. I thought it may just be normal irritation, but after 4 weeks of progressively worsening pain, I returned to have it evaluated. When I called and told them I was having severe tooth pain they couldn't get me in until early the following week (Dr. Hoskins would have gotten me in that day if he was still there). When I arrived for my appointment, the girl who took me back to the exam room told me the dentist was double booked for my time slot. This explains the rushed visit and exam. She told me all my teeth looked fine, offered no explanation for the tooth pain, and told me to use sensodyne, which I already had been for about a week. The pain persisted so two weeks later I made an appointment with Aspen dental, who got me in early the following morning even though I'd never been there before. Their dentist said it could be a sinus infection, but at least took x-rays to ensure there wasn't any tooth damage and listened to everything I had to say. Yesterday, two months from the original appointment for the cavity, I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia--damage to a facial nerve likely caused by the numbing done before my filling. While the doctor explained it's not completely avoidable with dental work, my frustration is with the fact that she may have been able to make the diagnosis herself if she hadn't rushed through my appointment a month ago and as a result I had to schedule two more appointments to get an explanation. I will be going to Aspen Dental from now on--they at least encouraged me to call back if the pain continued, and gave me a fair diagnosis and offered a solution to try to fix the problem. I'm giving her 2 stars because before this she was always very nice and explained things well during routine work (cleanings, fillings), and her staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish she would have taken more time with me when I actually needed it. Trigeminal neuralgia is extremely painful, and I felt dismissed and left without any guidance (what to do, when to return if it continued, any explanation for it whatsoever).

Took our daughter there. She has had bad anxiety over dentist visits due to prior bad dental visit at another place. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Our daughter felt the welcoming vibe and it relaxed her and she absolutely loved her experience. Would recommend checking this place out if you need dental care.

I went to this dentist office 1 time for a cleaning. I told the hygienist and the dentist my back right tooth was bothering me. They said it looked good nothing was wrong. 3 months later I was having severe pain out of state and went to a different dentist. I had an infected tooth (the same one) and needed 2 root canals. My grandma went to this dentist for 2 years. She had all of her routine visits plus. She has dementia and kept complaining to tooth aches so we would take her. We apologized to the staff repeatedly and they would say nothing is wrong with her teeth. Two weeks ago she didn't make it to her apt 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork so they wouldn't see her. Today she went to a different dentists and has 6 I repeat 6 teeth that are decayed and will probably need to be pulled! I dont know how you can miss decay on 6 teeth!

If you don't have a family dentist, run to Fairlawn Family Dental. Dr. Kayla Mullins and her staff are hands down the absolute best. And I'm very picky when it comes to my kids and a dentist. They're so kind and gentle and know exactly how to treat people. They're also adorable and funny and I can't rave enough. So thankful we found them. The staff makes all the difference. We were all traumatized from a bad dentist appointment for Kalee about 7 years ago and this place is the complete opposite. It's crazy how much of an impact a friendly person can make. All. The. Difference. #smileatsomeonetoday

Rude staff. Asked them if they could help out a few patients and they said they were booked out. So i asked them when they could help my family out and then they hung up on me.

I have been here four times now and each experience was phenomenal. The staff are always inviting, everything is stated clearly and with a smile. They were even accommodating to my schedule. Dr. Mullins is a true expert and will have you laughing and at ease right before getting to it. I truly cannot recommend this dentist office enough. I have absolutely no complaints and would absolutely go back again.
