The history of our practice extends deep into Akrons history. The practice was founded by Frank Bud McCormishs grandfather, who was a dentist. Buds father inherited the practice from his father & Bud ultimately took over the practice & successfully established it as the premier dental practice in Akron.

Together, they ran a highly respected & successful practice until Dr. McCormishs retirement. Now, Dr. Mark C. Rigby has come into the practice to continue its five-generation-long commitment to excellence & outstanding dentistry.

Dr. Rigby has always had a passion for dentistry. His father, two uncles & one cousin are all dentists. You could say it runs in the family! Dr. Rigby is passionate about helping patients who have complex dental needs. He is especially interested in helping treat migraine & TMD patients.

A native of Hudson, Ohio, Dr. Rigby attended the University of Akron & graduated with a degree in chemistry. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine & graduated in 2010. After four years of work as an associate at an advanced cosmetic dental clinic, Dr. Rigby joined with Dr. Robert E. Smith in Fairlawn.

Dr. Rigby is very active in his continuing education. In addition to taking several courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Care, he is actively involved in two Spears Study Clubs. This advanced training enables Dr. Rigby to treat his patients in the most appropriate & conservative fashion, while utilizing the latest in dental knowledge.

After completing his undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Clinical Sciences, Radwan Almomani, DMD graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Wanting to pursue his education further, Dr. Almomani then completed the Implant Misch Institute program for advanced training in dental implant surgery & prosthesis. In addition to his accomplishments in the academic world, Dr. Almomani has achieved fellowship status in the prestigious International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Radwan Almomani, DMD has a high degree of understanding of cosmetic dentistry including veneers, crown & bridge, & direct composite restorations. His extensive professional history is proof that he is committed to a lifetime of continuing education.
