Our facilities utilize state-of-the-art technology including low dose cone beam computed tomography (CT) providing highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of oral surgical conditions.

Our Fairfax office has a state-of-the-art outpatient operating room for complex surgical procedures and our special needs patients. The OR is staffed with the same Board Certified Anesthesiologist, instrumentation, and surgical staff as one would find in a hospital.

AtFairfax Oral Surgery, we practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging fromDental Implant SurgeryandWisdom Tooth RemovaltoCorrective Jaw Surgery. We diagnose and treat Facial Pain,Facial Injuriesand Fractures. FairfaxOral Surgery is proud to serve the needs of Alexandria, Fairfax, Centreville, Burke, Reston, Woodbridgeand the Counties of Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun and the rest of the NorthernVirginia Area.

We are in the business of changing peoples lives. We understand the gravity of this responsibility, and promise to be good stewards of your oral & facial health while in our care. With a full-time nurse on staff, trained anesthesiologists, and oral surgeons with deep experience fixing oral issues, you can relax knowing you are in good hands.

We are a leader in dental implant placements in the Northern Virginia area including the All-On-4 teeth in a day process. Each of our oral surgeons is skilled in implant placements as well as pre-placement procedures such as sinus lifts & augmentations, bone grafting or tooth removal.

If you are looking to regain the freedom that permanent teeth offer, please come see us. Dental implant surgery can eliminate the source of painful toothaches or diseased teeth. Since dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, you will be able to eat the foods you want, smile broadly for pictures and never have to use dentures or temporary prosthesis again.

3rd Molars, or Wisdom teeth as they are known, can be the cause of many dental issues down the road. Since 3rd molars tend to become impacted or fail to erupt, they can cause teeth crowding, pain in the jaw, and chronic dental issues later in life. So named for the Age of Wisdom, most people get their wisdom teeth between the ages of 17-24.

Call us if you or a loved one needs a wisdom teeth removalor impacted tooth procedure performed. We offer some of the most advanced medical technologies, a professional and experienced staff of nurses and administrators and 9 highly experienced oral surgeons. A referral from your dentist is common but generally not required.

Jaw surgery, also known as orthognathic surgery, involves the repair and reconstruction of the jaw bone and surrounding structures. Whether it was from trauma, a disease or defect, our world-class team of oral surgeons and their staff are here to help.

Additionally, most cosmetic procedures are covered right here in our offices, enabling us to complete procedures on the jaw as well as cosmetically to restore your skin, muscles and tissues around the surgery area. The ability to perform these complimentary procedures in-house means less complexity and faster recovery times for jaw surgeries.

Our facilities utilize state of the art technology including cone beam CT computed tomography providing highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of oral surgical conditions.

  • What Our Patients Say I had my wisdom teeth taken out last week by Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The office was very professional, very personable and friendly. The procedure went really quickly and the pain/swelling I felt afterwards was minimal/minor compared to some of the horror stories I've heard of wisdom teeth extractions. The doctor walked me through the risks of having one of my impacted teeth removed and what the risks were of not having it taken out. The office also took care of billing my dental and medical insurances for the procedures and at the time of surgery, I just had to pay a deposit, which is MUCH appreciated from other practices that I had looked into where they wanted me to pay for the ENTIRE surgery and it was my responsibility to get my money from the insurance companies. BEWARE!! Billing practices at this office are very sketch. It took me over 1 year to get my money back after my insurance had paid the office. Over a year of me constantly on my claim asking for my money. I'm sure they will respond to my post with some ludacris explanation. Long story short, they aim to keep the money from the insurance AND they take a huge deposit from you stating they'll refund you once the insurance pays out. Except they don't plan on refunding you at all! Not worth the trouble/energy/time, go someplace else I promise you will be grateful!

My recommendation for this location and group is "do not go here." I went there because my dentist referred me. As other reviews have stated, they seem to only care about getting money. They collect one's insurance but they will not provide you with a courtesy call ahead of time to make sure you are ware of any changes that might affect your wallet. It took almost 4-5 weeks for them to see me. Hence, they had all 4-5 weeks to verify correct charges. So, by the time of my appointment, I could be financially prepared. They charged me more for the consultation and I did not receive a courtesy call (heads up). All along they told me it was going be a different fee. When it was time to pay my part, I felt ridiculous as I did not have enough money. Correct. I did not have enough money. I am sorry to admit this to you Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, but sometimes some of us (the patients) might not have enough money and we need to have a budget prepared beforehand. We might be living in a tough financial situation. Yet, we still need healthcare. And as a responsible patient, one asks the charges and fees beforehand, so one will honor it. By the same token, one expects to be immediately advised of any changes. For this reason, I felt disrespected as a customer and patient. What happened? The personnel who talked to me after the appointment "apologized" for "those who I spoke to before" but "I did not speak to them (the office I was at that moment)." Therefore, it is my fault because I spoke to the wrong personnel (who work in the same group and network). First, I arrived at the office, and I waited too long. I did not complain once. One can understand that they take their time to see the patients, understand their needs, and accommodate with the correct approach. Nevertheless, the doctor (whom I am purposely omitting their name, so you think twice before you go this group) seemed to be in a rush. The doctor saw me for all of 3 minutes or so and rushed off. I had questions regarding my health situation. I did not feel like the doctor took the time to explain my situation. I was trying to understand better my situation. The doctor did not seem interested in me wanting to know well my own health and the process. I am novice to dental care. I am not an oral surgeon. I am not in a healthcare profession. I am not in medical school. Sometimes patients do not fit the same professional background; therefore, a further kind and professional explanation is needed. It is the patient's health! To the patient, this is important. Furthermore, I would not recommend this group. I was also accused of speaking grossly to them. After I left the office, I called their phone number -- the one you call to make the appointments. Obviously, they defended their actions and gave me this long explanation. At some point, the person I was speaking with told me that if I speak gross, this person would not talk to me. I was like, " I am not saying one single bad word." Yes, I was frustrated but I did not direct a cuss word to this person. So, my frustration as a customer should not be enough reason for them not to be able to handle customers' frustrations. Additionally, they should be able to assume responsibility for things going wrong, understand why customers get frustrated, have real and sincere empathy, and be able to handle a customer's frustration instead of threatening and warning them with stopping the conversation. I will not return to use their services. The communication from their part is poorly when it comes to money and the insurance aspect. The doctor did not have an appreciation for my time either. I waited much longer before and after the appointment that what it took the doctor to see me.

What a bad experience! I had emailed a week before responses to an excessively elaborate data form' but was told they didn't have it and required me to do it again, even after I showed them my emails. The appointment reminder was for 11:45 but when I complained about being kept waiting until 12:35 was told the "real" appointment was for 12:15 (to allow time to fill out the form!) Complaint to Dr Park elicited a blank stare. He saw me for all of 3 minutes and rushed off. The practice has multiple offices but apparently no central control. An uncaring, assembly-line experience.

No one wants to have their wisdom teeth (or any teeth) pulled but Dr. Robertson and his staff made it as pleasant of an experience as possible. The process was clearly explained to me from the beginning, and with the local anesthetic, I didn't feel any pain at all. Id like to give a special shout out to the nurse, Sarah, who was very friendly and made me more at ease during the procedure. I also wanted to say that I felt really supported after the procedure as well-- a nurse called me a few hours after to check in on me and then Dr. Robertson called later that evening. I really appreciated this! I definitely recommend Dr. Robertson if you need to have any extractions!

I did not look forward to surgery which involved extraction of an infected molar. However, there was discomfort but no pain. Dr. Winokur and his assistant Jeff were excellent in making me feel relaxed and informed. The wonderful people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. On a scale of 1 to 5, Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial is a 10.

I commend the doctors and staff for their superb quality of care. Dr. Robertson was down to earth, kind, thorough, and meticulous in his exam. The staff were warm, courteous and they earnestly went above and beyond to comfort my wife and I by making us feel valued and respected. Additionally, the office is immaculate, and very relaxing to be in. The covid pre op procedures were very convenient and I noticed the waiting room had a top of the line air filter. I would highly recommend this office to others!! A special shout out to Jeff, Rebecca, and Makana for being a joyful, cohesive team, and giving it 110%. You were shining brightly today and it helped make our fears and anxieties disappear. We thank you

I was referred to this practice by my dentist to have a specific extraction done. Like other rreviewers, I was floored to find out I would have to give a 30% deposit up front and they could only give me an estimate of cost. I didn't need a consulatation because my dentist sent the referral with exactly what needed to be done...no more, no less. Not a single staff member I spoke with could give me a legitimate reason why they needed to charge me what would be more than my insurance will cover because they have an "office policy" to take 30% of your funds then end up coding the insurance bill wrong so they keep the money. No thanks. When I asked who made the policy because that is the person I wanted to speak with, the Controller told me it was the doctor's in the practive but they don;t talk to patients about financials. I had to explain this was not financial, but policy...obviously she didn't undersstand the difference. She also made it out ot be that oral surguery is much more complex than any other medical field. Honey give me break! You are all doctors and you all charge insurance. Stop making yourslef out to be more important than you really are. She still refused to have me speak to someone higher. I contacted my dentist to get a referral to someplace else and let him know about their shady business practice so he stops referring his clients to these thieves.

I was pretty terrified of having my wisdom teeth removed, but the staff was incredibly helpful in calming my nerves and answering questions, including specifics about billing. Dr. Robinson did a fantastic job with the surgery. He was calming and made me feel at ease. I plan on seeing him again for the rest of my teeth.

When I called to schedule an appointment based on a referral from my dentist - the reception person immediately tried to upswell me on procedures that weren't being referred. When I visited the oral surgeon for a consult - they surprisingly had a completely different diagnosis that the dentist but without actually liking inside my mouth said that I should go back and ask my dentist if she saw anything ... seemed very circular and not very helpful.
