Our Fairfax office has a state-of-the-art outpatient operating room for complex surgical procedures and our special needs patients. The OR is staffed with the same Board Certified Anesthesiologist, instrumentation, and surgical staff as one would find in a hospital.

AtFairfax Oral Surgery, we practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging fromDental Implant SurgeryandWisdom Tooth RemovaltoCorrective Jaw Surgery. We diagnose and treat Facial Pain,Facial Injuriesand Fractures. FairfaxOral Surgery is proud to serve the needs of Alexandria, Fairfax, Centreville, Burke, Reston, Woodbridgeand the Counties of Fairfax, Prince William and Loudoun and the rest of the NorthernVirginia Area.

We are a leader in dental implant placements in the Northern Virginia area including the All-On-4 teeth in a day process. Each of our oral surgeons is skilled in implant placements as well as pre-placement procedures such as sinus lifts & augmentations, bone grafting or tooth removal.

If you are looking to regain the freedom that permanent teeth offer, please come see us. Dental implant surgery can eliminate the source of painful toothaches or diseased teeth. Since dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, you will be able to eat the foods you want, smile broadly for pictures and never have to use dentures or temporary prosthesis again.

3rd Molars, or Wisdom teeth as they are known, can be the cause of many dental issues down the road. Since 3rd molars tend to become impacted or fail to erupt, they can cause teeth crowding, pain in the jaw, and chronic dental issues later in life. So named for the Age of Wisdom, most people get their wisdom teeth between the ages of 17-24.

Call us if you or a loved one needs a wisdom teeth removalor impacted tooth procedure performed. We offer some of the most advanced medical technologies, a professional and experienced staff of nurses and administrators and 9 highly experienced oral surgeons. A referral from your dentist is common but generally not required.

Jaw surgery, also known as orthognathic surgery, involves the repair and reconstruction of the jaw bone and surrounding structures. Whether it was from trauma, a disease or defect, our world-class team of oral surgeons and their staff are here to help.

Additionally, most cosmetic procedures are covered right here in our offices, enabling us to complete procedures on the jaw as well as cosmetically to restore your skin, muscles and tissues around the surgery area. The ability to perform these complimentary procedures in-house means less complexity and faster recovery times for jaw surgeries.

Our facilities utilize state of the art technology including cone beam CT computed tomography providing highly accurate 3-D radiographic images for the diagnosis, planning and treatment of oral surgical conditions.

  • What Our Patients Say I had my wisdom teeth taken out last week by Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The office was very professional, very personable and friendly. The procedure went really quickly and the pain/swelling I felt afterwards was minimal/minor compared to some of the horror stories I've heard of wisdom teeth extractions. The doctor walked me through the risks of having one of my impacted teeth removed and what the risks were of not having it taken out. The office also took care of billing my dental and medical insurances for the procedures and at the time of surgery, I just had to pay a deposit, which is MUCH appreciated from other practices that I had looked into where they wanted me to pay for the ENTIRE surgery and it was my responsibility to get my money from the insurance companies. So disappointed When I asked doctor to remove only 1 wisdom tooth that was bothering me , he said he is going to remove all 4 wisdom teeth . Which I was not agreed with . And an estimated cost was 4.000$ for 4 wisdom teeth extraction. They do not care what you want - They care how much they will get from you . Never coming back

My son had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled today. The process was super quick, and the staff was very professional and kind. My son's nurse, Dana, thoroughly explained "next steps" to both me and my son. I would definitely recommend this office, if your teeth need to be released!

I've had several implants and though one has failed, FFX Oral/Max has never not had an answer for these complex "living procedures." They have my complete trust, forever.

Agreed with other reviews that this office does a completely unnecessary CT Scan that is not covered by insurance, and told me it would be covered before I got the scan. I ended up paying way more out of pocket than I planned. I am also getting bone fragments coming out of my gums frequently, meaning they were left in during surgery. Not happy. Go to another office.

My recommendation for this group is "do not go here." I went to them because my dentist referred me. They collect one's insurance but they will not provide you with a courtesy call ahead of time to make sure you are ware of any changes that might affect your wallet. It took almost 4-5 weeks for them to see me. Hence, they had all 4-5 weeks to verify correct charges. So, by the time of my appointment, I could be financially prepared. They charged me more for the consultation and I did not receive a courtesy call (heads up). All along the Fairfax location never told me to expect higher charges. When it was time to pay my part, I felt ridiculous as I did not have enough money. Correct. I did not have enough money. I am sorry to admit this to you Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, but sometimes some of us (the patients) might not have enough money and we need to have a budget prepared beforehand. We might be living in a tough financial situation. Yet, we still need healthcare. And as a responsible patient, one asks the charges and fees beforehand, so one can honor it. By the same token, one expects to be immediately advised of any changes. For this reason, I felt disrespected as a customer and patient. What happened? I went to the Reston location since some life situations happened. All my original communication was with the Fairfax office though. When it was time to pay my part, it was more. The worker "apologized" for "those who I spoke to before" but the worker told me, "I did not speak to them (the office I was at that moment)." Therefore, it is my fault because I spoke to the wrong personnel (who work in the same group and network). First, I arrived at the office, and I waited too long. I did not complain once. One can understand that they take their time to see the patients, understand their needs, and accommodate with the correct approach. Nevertheless, the doctor (whom I am purposely omitting their name, so you think twice before you go this group) seemed to be in a rush. The doctor saw me for all of 3 minutes or so and rushed off. I had questions regarding my health situation. I was trying to understand better my situation. The doctor did not seem interested in me wanting to know well my own health and the process. I am novice to dental care. I am not an oral surgeon. I am not in a healthcare profession. Sometimes patients do not fit the same professional background; therefore, a professional explanation is needed. It is the patient's health! To the patient, this is important. Furthermore, I would not recommend this group. I was also accused of speaking grossly to them. After I left the office, I called their phone number -- the one you call to make the appointments for Fairfax. Obviously, they defended their actions and gave me a long explanation. At some point, the person I was speaking with told me that if I speak gross, this person would no longer talk to me. I was like, "I am not saying one single bad word." Yes, I was frustrated but I did not direct a cuss word to this person. So, my frustration as a customer should not be enough reason for them not to be able to handle customers' frustrations. Additionally, they should be able to assume responsibility for things going wrong, understand why customers get frustrated, have real and sincere empathy, and be able to handle a customer's frustration instead of threatening and warning them with stopping the conversation. I will not return to use their services. The communication from their part is poorly when it comes to money and the insurance aspect. The doctor did not have an appreciation for my time either. I waited much longer before and after the appointment that what it took the doctor to see me.

I have had a great experience at Fairfax Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was able to get an appointment on very short notice in order to get a very painful tooth extracted. The procedure was done professionally and quickly. I am scheduled to get an implant.

Needed a post implant to replace an old crown. Dr. Liu was great. Very quick and painless. Just the thought of getting a post implanted into my jaw bone was frightening enough but Dr. Liu put me at ease right away. Just a bit of Novocain and I wouldn't feel a thing. I thought the rest of the day as the numbness wore off I would really feel it, but nope! No pain at all. Definitely an expert in his field.

The office does an unnecessary CT-Scan that is not covered by insurance on 85% of their patience. We did a consultation and decide to find another oral surgeon to remove our daughter's wisdom teeth. We ended up paying $377 for the CT-Scan most oral surgeons do not do.

Like others have stated in the reviews prior to me this place completely ripped me off. I came in asked specific questions everyone reads from a script. I got 5 minutes to tell me yes we can do an implant which I already knew got charged $150 and then charged another $202. 28 for nothing after I was asked if there was a chance this will cost me over $200 total. I would not have done any of it again. Can't believe this type of stuff still happens. Unreal ....

This was a pleasant surprise - I had a tooth extracted today, and I was quite anxious before the surgery. But Dr. Park and his team are first-rate and made the process go very well. Of special note, surgical assistant, Kristin, was very kind and gentle, and helped me through the process, talking me through what to expect and even comforting me during the surgery. She was really fabulous. Ashley was also a pleasure to deal, with a nice comforting personality, as were the rest of the staff - Destani, Paulina and Sabria. A surprisingly positive experience, especially when I think about how much I was not looking forward to having a tooth pulled. Five stars for Dr. Park and his whole team. Thank you.
