Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.
An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.
Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an advanced, proven technology that provides more precise three-dimensional (3D) imaging for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral health conditions. 3D dental X-rays can uncover issues that may not be detectable with 2D X-rays. By making images easier to see, its helpful in gaining a better understanding of oral health conditions and suggested treatment.

First visit to see endodontist, Dr. Wharton-Lake. Enjoyed the staff and the doctor. Not crazy about the root canal but it was necessary.

Good experience here. The front desk made me feel welcomed and Dr. Fizza Moosavi was wonderful! I had some questions and she answered them all. She also respected my choices on some of the optional procedures I could have taken. I found it affordable as well. I will visit again!

The dentist does good work and the staff is friendly but sadly I can no longer recommend them. I had work done on 1/11/2021 and paid according to the policy of the office. Since 10/15/2021 I have been receiving bills monthly regarding the procedure that was paid in full on 1/11/21. The office has stated both verbally and in email that this is a mistake on there part and that I do not owe them any money yet I keep getting billed.

Do not recommend. They try to upsell a lot, and have really bad bedside manner. I'm not the kind of patient who needs to be catered to, especially since I have worked in customer service jobs and understand how annoying that can be, but much of the staff here is abysmally rude and condescending. Some of the staff members are nice, of course, but for the most part I did not feel comfortable. They also incentivize good reviews by doing a gift card raffle, so please don't blindly trust the good reviews.

Fairfax Modern Dentistry was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had! I typically hate going to the dentist. I mean who likes hearing the drills or being questioned about your dental health? I truly appreciate the transparency of cost as well. I've been to offices where I've been verbally told X amount for a filling and ended up with a higher mailed bill. This was the first time I had someone sit with me to review the bill BEFORE anything gets done. Kuddos to you! My dental exam/cleaning was PAINLESS! I'll def keep coming back and highly recommend to anyone else whose intimidated by dental visits! They will not disappoint.

I started my treatment with Dr. Brain Chase. He and his team are professional. I extracted 3 teeth, did a deep cleaning, bone grafts and 2 implants one crowning, 4 wisdom teeth extraction. Most of the doctors are contractors in here. But still I get along with every one of them. Dr. Ganesh did my bone graft. She managed well for the procedure. I paid for my bone graft 6400. Next appointment, they said it was not enough, they should add more bone and I was signed 900 dollar procedure while I am sedated. I think you need to have correct estimation while you perform your job. One of my appointments are postponed because of her schedule. Always, I wait 20 to 30 minutes before admitted. Sometimes I wait an hour in the room. I can feel doctors are dealing with multiple patients at same time. It is competition among contractors I guess. Then, billing is messed up. I paid upfront all the time. Still receives bill without service explanation. First one I confronted in the office, they said they will take care of it. Second one just saying pay the remaing balance from previous amount. Like other comments mentioned, they really need to improve billings. Hire some smart people. In the end, my teeth are fixed. I am free from pain. But next time, I will choose carefully.

Got in the same day I called for an appt- as a completely new patient! All of the staff were very nice and personable. The dentist explained exactly what I needed and why. Everyone was great and very helpful!

Good Dr's, But worst front office staff, impolite and unprofessional. Not up front with messed up schedule moved it without notice in the past, of course blame the patient or call back automated system. Found the lady at the front desk very rude and lazy to make an appointment.

The team at this dental office was all very friendly. They were able to answer all questions I presented them with clarity. They seem to accept most dental plans and be cost-effective for those without coverage. They were certain to make sure that I was clear on any potential costs throughout the visit which I was lucky that my plan had no out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Chase worked efficiently and seemed knowledgeable. The office was clean and seemed to have the latest equipment. I did not have to wait at all for my appointment and they were able to schedule me easily.

Going to the dentist can make some feel a little anxious or uneasy, but that is not the case at Fairfax Modern Dentistry! From the moment I walked in I was greeted kindly and taken back shortly after. The hygienists were very warm and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The dentist, and everyone there made sure I knew what I was getting done and gave me options to choose what was best for me. The office itself was very clean and everyone was taking the necessary precautions due to COVID (even taking temperatures upon arrival). I would recommend Fairfax Modern Dentistry to anyone looking for a local dentist!
