Emsie joined the Fairfax Corner Dental Team in September 2011 as our Patient Coordinator, bringing with her more than 15yrs of experience in the medical customer service field. Emsie loves interacting with people and hopes to make everybody feel welcome from the moment they walk into our office. To unwind after hours she enjoys spending time outdoors.
Jessica has been a dental assistant for 10 years and loves working with the doctors and patients. What she enjoys most about dentistry is seeing how changing a patient's smile can transform their lives, and she could not imagine a better place to work. In her spare time, she enjoys shoe shopping and spending time with friends and family.

First, I was greeted with accommodating understanding happy dental personnel at the front desk. Toni, the hygienist has a very nice understanding ,compassionate personality and knowledgeable . He checked my vital signs first . I am so impressed that he had to check the medical status of me first. He explained in detail the procedures he had to do.His excellent assessment done. The dentist, Dr. Chang Yi did an excellent cleaning of my teeth and final assessment , after my teeth was polished thoroughly by Jennifer . Ms Emsie is so gracious and sympathetic when dealing with quote of the plan if treatments. Thank you everyone fir excellent dental service. CHEERS !

Dr Yi is the best! He really shows personal interest in caring for his patient's specific needs. Always positive with a let's get to it spirit. My dental health has improved and is immediately taken care of when changes pop up. Highly recommend Dr. Yi! Recently (3/2020) I needed a bridge on lower left rear teeth. As usual Dr Yi did excellent work. Can't thank him enough. You won't go wrong choosing him as your family dentist! 10/16/22 Update: Dr Yi has done it again!!! Provided excellent care and preparation for an implant. It's been a process but now close to finish line and I am so pleased. Looking forward to install in 3 months. Highly recommend Dr Yi for your family dentist.

Had a great experience at FC Dental. Dr Yi is very skilled and really personable. I haven't had any dental work in years, but he was gentle and eased all of my concerns. He did a great job. The assistants and front desk are all wonderful too and very accommodating. Highly recommend!!!

I have been Dr. Yi's patient for several years. He is the consummate professional, empathetic towards patients feelings and needs, and a most pleasant person that makes a potentially fearful situation seem less so. I had an emergency in the midst of the pandemic and was terrified at the idea of having to go to a dentist, but he and his entire team were sensitive to the fears and their handling of all the safety precautions made me feel much at ease. I am a very discerning person when it comes to any health care provider, and I am very pleased to have Dr. Yi as my dental care provider.

Dr Yi is the best dentist I have ever had. He is kind and gentle and highly skilled in many areas of dentistry. My front tooth broke off in Florida, and I returned to Virginia to be treated, because Dr Yi was able to pull the tooth, place an immediate implant with bone graft, and make a temporary crown in one visit. In Florida, I would have had to go to more than one dentist.

I have visited this dental clinic for 3 times since moved to this area last year. Everything was great in the past. But today I had the worst experienced I could imagine. When I met the dental assistant (whom I didn't know before) upon arrival, no greeting or self-introduction (even now I don't know her name, since she never said that). I followed her to the dental room, but no vocal instruction about where/when to sit and where to put my personal stuff (e.g. mask). There was no introduction on the process of filling I was going to do. After Dr. Yi came in and injected some anesthesia, this lady didn't follow-up with anything, until 5-8 minutes later when she just told me that the doctor would come to do the fillings. While Dr. Yi was working on the fillings, she didn't ask me if I need the protective glasses, which other assistants here provided in the past. Without those, the glare made me super uncomfortable in the process, even though I wear normal reading glasses. In the end, she didn't remind me of anything that I need to pay attention to right after the fillings (e.g. for the first couple of hours, what I could eat/drink), and she even didn't mention I was all set and just left me sitting there alone for a couple of minutes. When I shared my terrible experience with the super nice front desk lady, she encouraged me to leave feedback and talk with the doctor directly. Therefore, I had the opportunity to share my experience with Dr. Yi then. However, to my great surprise, the doctor didn't apologize for anything and seemed pretty defensive. A couple of words I could remember: she is pretty experienced; she is polite in general; for people wearing reading glasses, we don't provide protective ones; she didn't remind you of anything, possibly because you did fillings before. Anyway, I was shocked by such non-apologetic attitude.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Fairfax Corner Dental when they performed a crown procedure on one of my molars. There was no communication throughout the procedure, and I felt uneasy and unaware of what was happening during it. After the procedure, I had to make several visits to get the bite readjusted. It's been over a year and I still get sensitivity to temperatures and experience discomfort. I give 3 stars because after expressing my concerns with my crown and the lack of care during it, they showed more care at each following visit. Overall, I would recommend cleanings because they have quality hygienists, but would not recommend getting other bigger procedures done.

Excellent, well trained front desk staff. Superb knowledgeable techs and hygienists. Everyone kind and friendly. Dr. Yi is the best dentist that has ever treated me.I have never been to a dentist with such sophisticated equipment and dental care in general. I highly recommend him.

I've been going here for many years. Dr. Yi has been a great dentist. He knows what he's doing and explains things to me well. Treatments were always done gently. Dental Hygienist Natalia is very friendly. She explains things very well and gives me tips to take care of my teeth. The receptionists are very friendly too. They take care of things pretty quickly if there's any issue.

Dr Yi is like an old friend you really like but under these conditions, wish you didn't have too see. I am really not a fan of dentist because I have terrible teeth and have had a lot of work done. Dr Yi is by far the best dentist I have ever had and unfortunately I have seen a lot of them. His staff is always friendly and the ladies at the front are absolutely amazing and knowledgeable from scheduling to the insurance aspect of the whole process. I highly recommend to everyone and anyone looking for a permanent dentist.
