The office of Dr. Chuck Joo (experienced Invisalign dentist) is conveniently located across from Fair Oaks Mall (Fairfax, Virginia 22033). It is centrally located so that residents of Fair Oaks/ Fair Lakes, Chantilly, Centreville, Clifton, Falls Church, Franklin Farms, Vienna, Oakton, Oak Hills, Herndon, Reston, Manassas, Tysons Corner, Arlington, and other surrounding Northern VA area can easily access to our office. FODC was established in 2003 by Dr. Chuck Joo and his staff (fluent in Korean and Spanish). When Dr. Joo relocated to the Northern Virginia area, he realized that most dental practices in NOVA were run as a corporation and lacked the personal, detailed care. Many of the dental practices hire associate dentists on a temporary basis and lack a full long-term commitment to the patients. Quality was sacrificed in order to meet production goal for the corporation. Dr. Joo has a different vision and desires to establish a practice where patients were given a quality, long-term care without being rushed in and out like a factory. Dr. Joo and his staff enjoy talking to patients and getting to know them on a personal level. Quality is never sacrificed at our office!
A 1995 graduate of University of Florida College of Dentistry, Dr. Joo enhances his education and training by attending continuing education courses and seminars, and by reading and researching the latest in dental technology. As a result, hes added state-of-the art dental equipment and new treatment techniques to the practice to improve patient comfort and longevity of dental work, and to help you spend less time in the operatory and more time enjoying life. Dr. Joo has received extensive training and certification to perform Invisalign, Emergency Dental Service, Zoom 1-hour Whitening, and Zimmer dental implant. Dr. Joo has been Invisalign certified dentist since 2003. His vast amount of Invisalign experience has led to an achievement of receiving Premier Preferred Provider status.
Many of our patients appreciate Dr. Joo's pain-free dentistry. Dr. Joo is experienced in calming patients with a high dental anxiety. Dr. Joo will take his time to explain the procedure so that a patient will fully comprehend his/her treatment and experience no surprises during the treatment.
Dr. Joo is a strong believer in a preventive dentistry. He believes that early detection and treatment will play an integral role in maintaining healthy teeth. He takes a great satisfaction to be able to educate children at early age and be able to make a difference to children's dental health. In fact, Dr. Joo and staff have volunteered every year for Give Kids A Smile events since 2005. Dr. Joo also participates with Smiles for Children/ FAMIS program to ensure that underprivileged children have access to a proper dental care. Thanks to Dr. Joo and staff many underprivileged children in Fairfax County have a healthy smile!

Amazing dentist. I needed a troublesome wisdom tooth removed and Dr. Chuck Joo did such a great job that I had almost no pain. He's also great at going over what is wrong, how he will tackle the procedure and what I can expect afterwards.

Dr. Joo is one of my favorite dentists I've seen. Very calm, kind, and thorough. Dr. Joo is very informative and helpful with any questions or concerns. This office is absolutely the best I ever been to, starting with my first phone call in to make an appointment. You can tell the integrity is high here. I never felt shamed by the staff, and most importantly, I have never felt any discomfort while being worked on. And everything has been perfect!

Came here today for the first time and had a great experience! Dr. Chuck Joo is an extremely good dentist as well as person. He is very skilled and also a very sweet and kind hearted human! I for sure recommend visiting him!

Very rude dentist. He didn't want to spend 2 minutes to answer my question about one sensitive tooth. He just told me he didn't know and asked me to see a specialist. But when the specialist wanted to see the X-ray, he charged $75 to send X-ray to me and the X-ray was in low resolution and very unclear. I had to pay extra at another dentist to retake the X-ray. They made appointments on paper not in computer. Because of the bad handwriting, they messed up the appointment time. Cleaning didn't clean all the tartar around teeth. I can see the tartar clearly in the new X-ray.

Dr. Chuck Joo and his team provide the gentlest dental care I've ever experienced. I'm not just talking about cleaning either. I've had several partial extractions done, and rather than leaving me feeling black and blue in the face I hardly knew they had been done. Not only was my mouth not hurting for days like it has with extractions done by other dentists, but Chuck and his team left my mouth pain free. Excellent skill and thoughtful consideration go into every procedure. 5 stars for Fair Oaks Dental Care!

I had a completely broken tooth during the COVID-19 crisis, and these two basically saved my life with their dedication to their craft and their desire to help. Previous dental procedures experienced in the military destroyed my teeth with dark gray fillings and no crowns, and as a result, those fillings are starting to fall out and the teeth are starting to be destroyed. Yes, gross, I know... but this provides the context into the complexity of the situation I presented to Fair Oaks Dental Care. In a feat that can only be described as a miracle, Dr. Joo and Kelly have actually made getting dental work done entertaining and I actually looked forward to my appointments! (No, I'm not being held hostage...) Their professionalism and their award-winning personalities made me completely forget about the intensive procedures they executed flawlessly. If you are looking for a dentist, this is the one. If you aren't looking for a dentist, change your dentist to Fair Oaks Dental Care!

Dr. Joo and Kelly are wonderful. My mother and I have been a patient for several years and have no complaints. They are very professional and yet welcoming where you feel at ease. Dr. Joo is great about explaining any procedure he is about to perform and patient with you when you have many questions or needing breaks. I would highly recommend his dental office to others.

Would give 0 stars if I could. First off, I came in and spent 45 minutes waiting in the lobby. When I got into the chair, a dental assistant came in. When I asked for an actual dentist, after about 20 minutes, Dr. Joo came in. He darted in and said "let's get this over with" and seemed to be in a rush. I was done in 15 minutes and it only cost me $350. The worst part was that I've been in pain for weeks because of his rush job. Definitely avoid these folks.

They did a good job some time ago with my teeth (year or two) and I'm sorry to see them in the news like this I think they did the right thing.
